They couldn’t work on the gearbox as the car was in park ferme. Ron said they gained 10secs by changing the strategy to a 3 stop. In the end the race was blown by the 18+ seconds stuck in neutral but prior to that when Hamilton challenged Alonso on the 4th corner of the first lap it set the tone for the day. From that moment I knew he wouldn’t have it. It was a rookie mistake and I’m sure he knows it. He wont make that mistake again. Only a seasoned driver will play the safety game securing themselves the necessary points over the race glory. Just think about it. Assuming there was no hydraulic problem. If Hamilton had settled into a shadow position behind Alonso. Making no effort to push him. He would of won the championship. He could even of passed him later on when Alonso went off the pace to take third for the day just for the hell of it. Kimi had a better second half to the season then either McLaren driver. Won two more races than Hamilton and had Ferrari not had reliability issues early on in the season it would have been Hamilton and Alonso chasing Kimi for the title. Leaving politics aside it was a great season and I expect next year to be even better. Guy

Yea but the hole would have to be filled and smoothed out to match the bumper. The canards themselves do look good. Maybe one would be enough. It's the reflector that's killing it.

No pics as I was driving. On my way home from work yesterday passed an R8 that was sitting in traffic. First one I've ever seen. It was all white including that side panel. It really was plain looking. In fact I wouldn't of noticed it except for the LED's on the front. I think the colour choice of that side panel is the key to that car. Forgot about it straight away. Dull.

It may of had an oil change while in service but it wouldn't be the first time I've heard of the plug being left out or not being replace properly. Didn't that happen to someone here when returning home after a service or am I thinking of another forum? Guy

Add a third option to poll. Replace bumper with one that doesn't have reflectors then add canards.

Also just noticed the CD slot is infront of the gear shift AND THERE'S NO CASSETTE . Now where will I keep my phone.

I'd be looking at a complete lack of oil. As for an 06 engine, would anyone know if the clutch/gearbox was changed? If so it wont be a straight swap for you.
