  1. I should be able to make one or both days, but need to confirm with the social sec before commiting
  2. was it a TT or a single turbo then?
  3. New laptop will be on its way shortly Mine is on its last legs to, too much time on here! Me, never
  4. Leave mine on all the time too, unless on track, thats the only time you should be expecting to spin your wheels as you are near the limit. If you need to turn it off on the road, either something is wrong with your car or you need to learn better throttle finesse
  5. I have a Kestrel and its great. From what I've heard its pretty much a Megs G220 but a bit more reliable and quieter. It did wonders on my Zed with a polish pad and some SSR2, finished with finish pad and SSR1 I really wouldnt go anywhere near a rotary unless you have some panels to practice on
  6. So when ya gonna buy it? I agree that there is something to be said for the newer revisions, and its down to whats important to you and where you plan to take the car. Personally I dont feel its worth it for me over the older ones as I do so many miles and plan to make a few tweaks here and there. I couldnt notice that much difference between my 03 and the 08 I drove, but then again its all on the butt dyno and I have the plenum spacer which does add noticable umph mid range. Just about test driving them and seeing which suits you best
  7. Now thats mod talk that is I unfortunately have to agree with the other comments from what I have seen.
  8. TBH, I burnt only about 1mm max off my tyres on the day! My tyres were shot already and it didnt take a lot off at all. Might be different if you have big brand new blocks of tread I guess! They make you pump your tyres up rock hard to reduce grip anyway, so reducing wear even more. I will enquire with Andy at CarLimits and see what we can work out. Does look like they are heavily booked up already though, so if we want a dedicated session then it will be Oct some time by the looks of it. We can always trash in on a public session though
  9. Bump. Next one tonight. Hopefully the weather will hold out, if it does I should be there
  10. Think its time we get an airfield activity day booked. Plenty of space to trash about with no TC on and learn the limits of your car. All for less than £40 for the day I'll get on to Car Limits and see what they can do for us in the next few months
  11. Did you have TC turned off? 2-3 seconds is a loooong time for TC not to kick in if its on, unless you had all 4 tyres sliding It normally intervenes pretty well if you load the tyres up properly, its when you stab at the throttle that it gets twitchy. Especially going quite slowly in second gear in the wet I find! I think everyone should go and learn to ride a motorbike, it teaches you so much in terms of loading tyres and throttle and brake finesse, makes driving the Zed in the wet a piece of cake
  12. The lead group up to Betws-y-Coed from Bala will testify that you wont as you well know, we got slowed down by the guy in front I think she did a fine job For those that didnt realise, Amanda drove my car from Bala to our stop on the Evo triangle and did a fine job keeping up pace in the front group
  13. As the others have said, the biggest drop in prices were about 6 months ago when people were desperate to sell due to the economic climate. Things have stablised now so expecing another big price fall is being unfair to the market, so just get the best you can afford now and be happy with it. The enjoyment far outweighs the cost As for engine choice, you do your research and you make your choice. The only difference I can see is that the torque curve has changed to make more headline BHP over low down torque. The 80% changed engine is just marketing. Yes bits have changed, but only slightly and they didnt yeild a lot of gain in real terms. If you want more power, you be best off getting an 03 and remapping it with the money you saved, would be far more drivable power than an 07+. Saying that, the interior is nicer in the 07+. But the tax is more. So you make the choice on whats important to you and buy one
  14. Its because it copies the literal string and not the full URL. Thanks for fixing it. (All) For future reference if you click quote first on my350z and then copy the text, it will give the full url that should give a clickable link in here when pasted
  15. Nice work I did it with a partial bumper removal, removing half the bumper at a time, pivoting it on the last popper on each side, so I didnt need to rest the bumper on the floor
  16. 1. 3FIDDYZ 2. maz77 3. AndWood +1 4. Andy 5. Chris`I + 1 (tbc) Need to check with the social secretary, but sounds like fun
  17. Thats hillarious that the car we most worried about bottoming out was fine I want a look at Adrians side walls, bet theres a few marks on them, if not his tyre choice is spot on My Varis lip was fine all the way round. It was the speedbump in the hotel car park (the portal) which the y-pipe didnt like Was tempted to drive over the golf course to avoid it
  18. Ah so they do rattle, I thought I was being paranoid that mine had started. Feckin great Better you get them made mate the better for us Nismo owners left with substandard ones!
  19. I will be the first to say this .... Amanda will be next, just you wait I have also been informed we need a WAGs section
  20. Right, last go - some people are so hard to please
  21. How about this... Will remove the aerial in a minute
  22. Quite alright, I thought it was a cracking pic Amanda says you only get the first one for free though If you want the original JPG (or RAW) then give me a PM and I can email it over. Be warned the RAW is about 12MB though.
