  1. Nice rig you got there BM. Back in the day I had a Lian-Li case with a Athlon XP 2GHz @ 2.5GHz all passively W/C'd via a load of Danger Den stuff and a couple of passive rads (forget the make). Been an age since I did that though, things have moved on a lot since then!
  2. They are as standard Even if most were apparantly more powerful than 280 from the factory Doesnt take a lot to send the power skyward either. but it does cost a lot , Not compared to a 350z it dont!
  3. Good quality hubcentric spacers should cause no allignement issues, otherwise lots of our members would be in ditches by now
  4. I still need to find my Steam ID Its in one of my old email address mailboxes Found a new way to "back up" Wii games a few days ago - so been backing them up recently Its awesome you can back them up to a USB HDD and play them from a loader with cover flow, no more loading discs
  5. I stand by the decision made at the time. It was decided by jointly. As pointed out before which such few posts by this member the action was correct. We did just the same for instance with Da Whip. Why do you think its too late? We have been discussing this with a Docwra for over a week and this started very shortly after the ban was issued. Perhaps you should know all the facts before making a statment like this. Posting this up a week after the ban was lifted, I'd say that its you who is a little late, Adrian. I must concur with the other mods, the decision taken was based on what we knew at the time and what had been posted to date. Its hard to judge a character, but going by the previous posts it was going nowhere. And as a mod of other forums the OP should have known better.
  6. But you still have to declare it don't you? I had a no fault accident (I was standing beside my crashtra) when someone drove into it and wrote it off. I am declaring it and it's a pain in the hoop! Dunno, just renewed as normal, but they know it happened. When I first called, they said about using the legal eagles and said it wouldnt effect me if I did
  7. Thats a good point. Also if you have legal cover from your insurance, you can make a claim through them. When I had my rear bumper redone, I went though my insurance legal cover (note not my acutal insurance) so it wasnt a claim against my insurance, but theirs, but my insurance legal team dealt with it all, so didnt have to pay a thing or have a mark against my history, which meant my premium didnt go up when I renewed
  8. Great fun for sliding about though
  9. Looks like fun How were your tyres afterwards?
  10. No, inside the plenum, where the air flows. There are different schools of thought that a smooth air flow or distrubted airflow are better. I have no idea, I dont know about fluid/aero dynamics so dont know which is better. The only evidence I have seen is that the Leon lads used to smooth their airboxes of the platic veins that they had and it gave better flow. I would just stick with smooth for now as it would mimic OEM? Why would more air mean less fuel? Surely more air would mean more fuel to keep the AFR the same? Surely the problem you get is that the parameters only allow so much fuel to be delivered (as stock only flows so much air and we are going past that with a bigger plenum), so a remap would force it to deliver more fuel and hence more power. The stock setup will only lean out so far and then wont use the extra air that can be taken from a freer flowing intake. By remapping it, you can use more of the air combined with more fuel to give more power. I'm still not convinced that a much bigger plenum will give any gains anyway, there will be a limit where it makes no difference or will be detrimental. Sticking to a design that is like OEM + spacer will give best guarenteed results for the outlay as its a proven combo
  11. Where lol..........? Its like a magic eye, just keep starring at it Link fixed
  12. Heres the thread - never did try it though! Blast from the past - 2003 thread! http://my350z.com/forum/audio-and-video ... e-fix.html
  13. That would make more sense and would explain why I’m still getting irregular levels of volume with an aftermarket HU, I’ll have a search cheers If you get it to work, let me know, I think mine does it now and again! Never did get around to doing it
  14. Hmm, not sure I'd agree with that. My Falkens say 50PSI max, and when I was at an airfield day, I ran them at 45PSI. These felt far too over inflated and reduced grip massively - which was the intention of doing it on the day so you lose grip earlier and slides are more predictable. I would start at 35PSI and work a bit higher and lower. When you track your bike, I assume you take warm pressure readings too? In which case they are close to the OEM 36/34PSI due to the heat?
  15. Ouch! At least you get rid of the stone chips though! WRT to aftermarket bumpers, if you use your own bodyshop there is more than enough chance you can get something like a Shine bumper as they are cheaper than stock! If you used approved bodyshops though, its unlikely as they just order the OEM parts base off your VIN number. Oh and make sure you get a reasonable hire car, tell them you want an equivelant car, so £30k 3litre+ sports car, as the other side pay for it
  16. From what I've read before, the feature is acutally in the amp. There is a mic to the left of the steeringwheel next to the centre console. I saw on my350z.com that someone put a resistor in its place to fool the amp that the same background sound all the time and then set your HU from there. Try a search on my350z.com, its a pretty old thread.
  17. Dunno about the mr mac version -- but i have Mmm pink, suits you sir
  18. No idea, but Tesco in Slough had it this lunch time
  19. They are as standard Even if most were apparantly more powerful than 280 from the factory Doesnt take a lot to send the power skyward either.
  20. Did I read that right, about £250 for a full carbon plenum with a spacer built in? That sounds like a f'in bargin compared to just a spacer which is knocking on 200 quid! Look forward to seeing your results matey, you could have a very good business there. WRT the need for ECU work, if you keep it the same volume as stock plus a spacer you wont need any ECU work. I'm not convinced if you make it more it will need ECU work, I can just see you getting to a point where the extra volume has a negative impact regardless of remapping the ECU. What you want is nice even airflow to all cylinders which a stock plenum + spacer gives (albeit the slightly larger spacers do it better but need a different strut). I think you'd need to supply the new CF plenum with longer bolts and spacers same as the Motordyne spacer comes with.
  21. Bet Martins posted from his phone while in the loo before!
