I liked the look for the RS, I thought those seats would look cool in Pauls beast

The Humax Foxsat HDR box does all the fancy recording and TV picture control. The channels I get are those that come from Freeview and Freesat - does not include Sky1. The only Sky channels I tended used to use was Eurosport so at £40 a month and as others have said, next to useless customer service (even worse than Nissan ) and 2 duff repacement Sky+ boxes for me it was a no-brainer to stay with Sky. I've had the Foxsat HDR box since I could get hold of one and its fantastic! I did a self install of a Sky dish and quad LNB, and the picture quality and sound is excellent. Hasnt missed a recording, hasnt crashed or anything else. Just a shame that ITV show stuff at such a lot bitrate on Freesat, its noticably worse than Freeview, but on the flip side, BBC is better and HD is awesome with more progs on all the time

The problem is they are so big with so many customers, they couldnt care less if you leave, even if you tell all your mates, its cheaper to lose a few customers than send someone round to fix it!

Sure you could shift an extra one on here if he wasnt interested in the end

Wear what you like I think. Certainly dont need a helment, but I think I was wearing long sleeves, althogh I dont think this was a requirement. It its hot I wont be wearing long sleeves this time! The problem I find with Sky is their SD is @*!#. Compared to Freesat or Freeview the quality is pants. So if you had Freeview and a small TV (under 40") I would say stick with that. If you have Freeview and a big TV (40" or bigger) I'd say get Freesat as the HD looks excellent. Now if you have any TV and SD Sky and want to keep Sky I'd say get HD as the SD quality is shocking and HD is the only way to make it better! Thing you have to remember with a lot of Sky HD is that its just upscaled SD most of the time. But that looks a lot better than normal SD and then when you get true HD it looks even better. Confused yet? Get Freesat

I saw this on the BBC coverage of qualy yesterday. He seems like a decent chap, was straight talking and seems like he will be a much better choice than Max. Also seemed that Bernie likes him, which gives you some confidence he might get in, and he reportedly has the backing of quite a few of the FIA parties.

We had suspected that it would be the case with multiple maps and RS Tuning said it was only possible with the GEN2 ECUs Dont know what Nissan have shoved on the ECU to cram it full, or why they cant just put bigger ROMs on there (penny pinchers!). I think its the same case with the BCM which is why we cant have autofold mirrors too as its got "extra features" which fill it up!

Ahh I see. That makes sense, Its what I would do if I need both wheels off the floor at once. I have a similar one from Wickes and they are a pain in the butt. I have to put the car on planks just to get the trolley jack under the normal jack point

Nice one Dan, more progress than I I take it they are adjustable? Whos going to do the setup of them for you? And is that a scissor jack I see? Dont tell me you got the car onto axle stands using it?

Told you guys not to plan too much, it never goes to plan! I started my front disc and pad change Friday night, and having found one of the pad stops had oxidised stopping the pad going in, I was stumped for the night. With a bit of guidance from Alex, managed to get it off and clean it and get enough cleanace to fit the pad. Not sure I want to attempt the rears today just in case they go wrong as well and I need the car first thing Monday morning!

I know what you mean. My missus mate has a Cooper S too and said how do I live with the boot being unpractical. So I backed up to hers and popped the boot. The Zed boot is at least 2x as big as the Mini's if you use the space infront of the strut bar too

Lamposts with no signs dictates a 30MPH limit. If its higher there will be signs. As already said, when coming down into a 30 zone, there will also be signs, but not there after. Think you've just been done James, and have to take the ticket. Unless you can prove the signage wasnt adequate. Can see how it easily happened being a dual carridgeway. This is why speeding itself shouldnt be a crime, it should be down to if its dangerous or not
