  1. The question then is if UpRev even supports it, or if it is a different ECU all together. If it does, happy days, we can rip off what Nismo have done and copy their map
  2. Looking good, if a little wonkey. Is it definately in the exhaust hanger properly? If it is take it to the local exhaust place/garage and have them "tweak" it. Usually you can heat up the hanger and bend it to the right position so it sits straight
  3. What revs can you take an 276HP model up to?
  4. Lovely looking car - what a bargin WRT the wheels, I dont use any wheel cleaner on mine. As you are OCD like me, take the wheels off and clean them (wash, claybar etc) and then seal them with wheel sealant. Somthing like Poorboys. Do a good 4-5 coats. From then on, just wash them with normal water and car shampoo and an old wash mitt. Wont ever do any damage to them then
  5. Id rather eat my own face than have that kit anywhere near my car I'm tempted to buy the kit and fit it to Ians car just to see him eat his own face
  6. Treat him to a KFC! Aye, hes easily pleased. B&B with some KFC to eat and UFC on the telly
  7. I would expect if you call them with the ref number, they should be able to sort it out on the phone, no need to wait for the letter
  8. I'd call ahead. If they dont know you are coming, it might be packed away somewhere. I've had that with Citylink before and had to come back later when they had fished it out.
  9. Don't forget though the big crisis comes around 60 Or in Jays case, just before 30 with his Aston (god I'm so jealous! )
  10. Indeed its a bit of a lottery. They can mark it as a gift or low value item, so no charges, but it means if something happens in transit and its lost/damaged, you cant claim for it - or not the full amount anyway. Chances are they wont have tried to deliver it, just the US system cant handle it past it being "delivered" to the UK. The other one says you have charges to pay, which usually means they will contact you and take payment. With UPS they had my mobile number, so called me and took payment over the phone. If they dont have contact details, I beleive they send a letter asking for payment to the delivery address and once that is cleared they release the parcel. I think you can have it delivered to the local post office and pay for it there. Not 100% sure thats the case though.
  11. You owe them some import charges
  12. Should be able to get them to redeliver it or forward it to your local post office then
  13. My guess is that they will use Royal Mail then. What is the format of the tracking number? When I order stuff from HK and it comes via their eqivelant to RM, I can use their site, then when it hits the UK can use RM site to track it. E.g. AA 9999 9999 9AA
  14. Chances are they will use RM over here if its come from USPS. Who has sent it over? Best bet is to contact the seller and find out what service was used. If it was Adam then he uses UPS which are very good for tracking etc.
  15. I have a 2003 (53) with plenum spacer, popcharger and Nismo exhaust if you are interested. Not sure when you'd need the car and how long for, but I can do weekends. Let me know the details, as I'm interested I assume you'll need a few cars to see what the working range of these things are anyway (i.e. not all cars with the same mods behave the same).
  16. that would be very cool has it been done before? yes indeed its the club salute - Bit like the Red arrows but with Zeds! Halfway down the page and more after in the thread - viewtopic.php?f=19&t=15896&start=90
  17. yeah by the skin of your teeth! 2 more years and ill be thirty...oh why lord!!!! how can you be so cruel!!!!! Where did the years go?!?!?!? Such a hard life having an Aston before you're 30

    Hid's

Indeed, a higher Kelvin rating will just make it more blue, but may make it look "better" too - not brighter. But are 55w HIDs legal on UK roads? I know that you arent allowed more than 55w for normal bulbs but not the limit on HIDs.
  19. As the others have said, if the claim is still pending then they will take the view that it could be your fault and adjust premiums based on that, otherwise they are taking a risk assuming you're being honest to find that then theres a massive claim against you. I was very lucky when I was reveresed into. The owner came round my friends house (where I was) straight away and appologiesd. They called the insurance straight away the next morning then left me a message with the claim number. Looking back I was very lucky!
  20. I'd go for a Shine Auto kit or other replica tbh (from a reputable source!). The original Nismo is fiberglass IIRC so not good if you catch it. Shine Auto is polyurethane I beleive so more flexible and forgiving and very good fit. Both CS and Envy supply these kits I beleive. As for the uprated struts, Adam@Z1auto or Envy are your best bets
  21. +1 you see that quite often, and get some very exotic metal being offered Amanda wants an Aston as her car, so Jay you better keep this one for a few years this time as I'll need a favour at some point
  22. CS and Envy (Chillli Red ^^ ) will put you on the right track, both offer some different alternatives so see which one fits you best
