  1. Could have been something to do with the Rev Matching confusing the gear changes perhaps!! Guessing he drives by the noise of the engine... Knowing the Stig, he prolly turned that off straight after pushing the Start Button Of course he would. Unless he forgot about it. Trying to heel toe when the car is doing the same

  3. Dont be so sure he got it wrong BM, they arent all stupid, and may have thought you were an alright bloke, and it had been priced wrong, but let you get away with it. You are assuming that they care they sell the right thing at the right price. They dont, they just scan it and off you go I got a £200 too chest for £30 in there because it was damaged. One of the bits was slightly bent so they couldnt sell it at RRP any more so let it go cheap. They could have gotten way more, but they just dont care

    Camber Q's

Do you go through tyres pretty quickly too? Bet they dont wear down evenly!
  5. Yeah these are the kinds of lengths you have to goto these days to be original and someone told me louis vuitton was in this season, is that not true?
  6. +1 - looks excellent chap, but how do you dry it? I've found since swapping to the washing with 2BM and drying with a "place and patt" technique, that my swirls take a very long time to come back. Try getting a i4detailing uber drying towel (its massive!) and place it on the paint then patt the area dry, remove, place somwhere else and repeat.
  7. So you make a one, which in itself is fake, and you're worried someone will copy you and make fakes? Dont worry, you'll have no problems with that I knew the irony and sarcasm would be lost on someone!! Seems mine is lost on you too
  8. It all depends what the car has been mapped for and the window of the mapping. If the Lambo had been mapped for the UK on 95RON, and if it wasnt able to advance the timing, then there would be no point in shoving 99RON in it. The Zed is mapped for 98RON, so putting 95RON in will lose you power and fuel efficiency. Maybe it cant tweak it for 99RON, but it at least has the timing mapped for 98RON. I also beleive its mapped for 101RON in Japan so it can probably at least handle that. As I've always said, try it out for yourself and see. Dont listen to forum BS

  10. I would add Adam@Z1Auto to that list too. Hes based in the US but has a vast wealth of Zed tuning, from FI, to a mad NA build on his own car. He has seen many problems more times than I've had hot dinners! Specialists I would personally list are CS, Envy, TDI, Abbey Motorsport and Adam@Z1auto . They all have different kinds experience of many Zeds.
  11. Very reasonsble question...basically they sit between the rear of the brake pads and the caliper that holds the pads and as I understand it are slightly sprung stainles steel to allow sufficient movement back and forward without the pads rusting onto the caliper - normally the rear of the shims have high melting point grease on the back to stop things becoming solid and also stop squealing. If I have got that wrong no doubt Alex or someone more techy than me will explain Yeah pretty much. Not sure they are sprung, mine didnt seem to be, but they basically fill out the space a bit between the pad and calliper. I'm sure someone said you dont even need them really.
  12. Very nice chap, car is coming along nicely
  13. Or the thermostat is cacked and not making it kick in
  14. I'd say they are competitve. Its pretty much what I pay WLMG (Slough) for my servicing, so I'd say for just outside London, its pretty good, especially as we know the cars will be very well looked after which they arent always at Nissan, and that you check the car over with Consult which Nissan charge even more for
  15. Ouch, nearly 50 quid for shims? The rear Brembo pads already have shims (or they should!), which you can take off the old set and use again. Not sure if your pads dont have them for some reason and this is why they want to charge you for them? I'd call them up and ask them to fully explain why you need them
  16. +1. Althought I am in the "love the stickers" camp, it will appeal to far more people now.
  17. Air in the system? Leak somewhere? Thermostat may be shot. Temp sender may be shot, but usually this just means you get no reading. Afraid we are going to need more details. As Mark says, where does the needle start, and how long does it take to get to "hot". Does it go up and down noticably if you go for a spirited drive and then cruise for a while?
  18. If they are good and greased, get out and bed them in properly. Search "bedding in procedure" on here, basically a series of 70-30MPH brakes (hard but not hard enough to set ABS off) but get them warmed up before you do it. That should cure it.
  19. ^^ What they said. Wheels off, check the discs and pads are sound. Copper grease them if they are, and if that doesnt solve it bed them in again.
  20. No, too late should have asked at 350 posts +1 Speak to Mike nicely and he may let you have one or two to stick about the place - car and garage should do it
  21. Shame we couldnt hear it properly last night because of that S2000
  22. Wow, that looks exellent Definatly needs some spacers though
  23. No cos you boring sods decided to park all over the place I had my camera, but no point taking shots of the cars on their own between other random ones
  24. Mmmm, been called some things in my time but.... leg ends?? not sure about that one Rich
