  1. +1 - its the ebay stuff that doesnt like the sun, but we knew that all along
  2. not if your gently limping home. i wouldn't want to track it with that setup, but as a method of sub 50 drive home gently it would be fine. Exactly, it is meant to be a last resort to get you to a garage where you can get the tyre repaired or replaced. Its not meant to be for driving around properly! It will most likely balls up TCS, but you can drive without that to get you to the garage.
  3. lol good point. guess i'm just double checking If you have a backup car, then just go for it. But dont be unrealistic and rush, just take your time and if its done its done. We dont want a broken MAF or bracket or anything that will cost money to fix
  4. Might sound odd, but if you've fitted one before then surely you'd answer your original question? People work at different rates, and all it takes is one duff bolt or nutt to hold you up for hours as Dan said.
  5. Its possible in 40 mins, but I would say allow an hour if its your first time. You dont want to rush, break something and find you cant get the car home. Wait til you get home, do it properly, and then enjoy the noise
  6. Yeah, stone chips through the laquer/finish will kill any wheel. The problem with Rays is they do this where seemingly the finish hasnt been broken
  7. Can of tyre weld? Thats what Phil used to carry because of his BBK. I guess any time you move away from stock, the stock space saver may no longer work. Remember its just to get you to limp to the nearest garage (sub 50 I think they say) so you should be able to suffice as you have to drive really slowly anyway.

    Carbon Wrap

I seem to remember being told that too, I guess that the problem living withing driving distance of Sarah's place Looks very good btw
  9. what the bonnet or engine The bonnet. The engine looks pants as always J/k but, looks excellent, wish I had the time and money to do the engine bay, but just cant justify it when theres performance mods to be done
  10. Yup, space saver on the rear
  11. And add a few more posts to his count
  12. Certainly looks like the start of it. So much for these clever Japs, they cant even make a wheel that can take a bit of the English weather and salted roads!
  13. Looks like a great day guys, shame I couldnt make it. Loving the GTRs
  14. Another cracking day at North Weald. No Andy this time, but his replacement was very good and excellent at organisation. The day started quite overcast, but by lunch the sun was blazing on the tarmac Did the high speed corner first, which ensued in the usual spinning and powerslides! Next up was 2 small course with lunch in the middle. Finally we actually managed to get in the longer course which is a combination of the high speed corner and 2 smaller course. Rich had some great spins! Here are a few pics we managed to get (sorry not many, too much fun driving!) Ben on 3 wheels! Ben pushing it a bit Rich pushing it! A few interlopers!
  15. You can say thanks to the traders and dontators for the free tickets. Passing the benefit on to all

    Alcantara?

Yes, I have that problem with mine. It was looking good for a very long time, but then a few days of very bright sun started it to fade and now the colour has been lost massively. As Mark points out, a UV tint over the rear screen will solve it, but I'm geting it all flocked at some point to get rid of it Does look very nice when done
  17. Sorry, my fault, I was deleting some duplicate for sale threads and deleted on his posts in there as well. Thats taken him down below the 1k mark again
  18. Difficult question to answer, depends on the drop and the car itself. The Zed has limited adjustment available, so even on a small drop, some cars have enough adjustement to bring it back in, some dont. Personally, I would be prepared with a kit to hand when getting alignment done, just in case. They arent that expensive, much better than going through tyres every few thousand miles! If you use a good garage to do the allignment, then if they cant get it within spec they can fit the new bolts and try again.
  19. So does the dipstick work its way out over time or is this a case of user error?
  20. Hmmmm, finger hovering over the lock button just to top it all off Well done spamcannon, but you have a long way to go to catch Sarnie! Dont even try
  21. Get yourself a Kestrel DAS-6 ( http://i4detailing.co.uk/acatalog/Kestr ... her_1.html ). Very good for beginners, easier to get hold of than a PC and does just the same job. Go easy with finishing pads and low abrasive polish to start and work your way up, if you are just removing swirls theres nothing to worry about with a DA polisher
  22. You tried a specialist nut and bolt place? My local one is very good, if they dont know the size by looking at it, they get out callipers and measure it etc. Never found a nut or bolt they couldnt do me
  23. Smooth front does look good, and not many have done it
