  1. It will be soon enough to know where you are going on the day(s)
  2. Indeed - good work for covering my ass as I cant be 100% sure of making it on time. Most appreciated
  3. Yes sorry should have said that. Fluid types are not interchangable. I should say that on the brake lever though
  4. Never had a set with mineral oil before, so cant help I do think it doesnt need doing as often as DOT brakes (which is every 2yrs roughly)
  5. Yeah I was thinking LPL might have some fillers like a glaze. Obviously the feeling from IPA goes away as soon as you add wax, then its silky smooth again
  6. I find that the paint has a glaze type feel to it after using LP/LPL, whereas after IPA it doesnt seem quite as silky smooth, I mean its smooth, but not as glossy if that makes sense.
  7. I'm going so you can have a gander around mine
  8. Did you have a try of the instructors bikes at Whinlatter? I cant remember if you did. They felt very wide, but I can see the control you would get for them. Not convinced they are any good for someone short like me as they are way wider than my shoulders, but for someone taller like yourself I can see them working well Shame to hear about the wheels. You should get some Hope/Stans rims - clak clak clak clak
  9. They plug in. And if you read DW forums, there used to be a chap that bought really good cable and sell it cheap so you can extend the lead. I think by default the lead on a DAS6 is about 3m, I bought 10m from this chap so I can do all around my car from the single socket in the garage and not have to drag around an extension lead
  10. The great resource that is wikipedia refers to detailing as: Now as cars dont always require a clay or polish, I would refer to detailing as any proper clean where you strip any protection from the paint (wax/sealant/etc) and clean it before reapplying it. You dont need to be armed with a DA/rotary to detail a car, far from it, but I do think it requires stripping of protection and reprepping of the paintwork. Lots of details that pros do a "protection" details that involve no correction work
  11. Pardon I have one, plus deadening, and it doesnt make anywhere near as much difference as it did in the 350z. I think a lot more of the noise (percentage wise) in the 370z is tyre roar, which you wont get rid of without swapping the Stones. Cabin is dead quiet on smooth road in the 370z which it wasnt as much in the 350z.
  12. So just watch out for everything then Chris? I've had to pass my theory test twice now, once for the car and then again for the bike. Both were on pooters but the bike was with the hazzard test. I know what Stew means about being too quick. Its so obvious when it will happen but if you are too quick you are deemed to have "guessed it" rather than seen it. Which to me goes against the point, you are meant to guess when a hazzard may present itself (reading the road) and prepare for it. Whether it happens or not is incosequential if you have prepared properly. Needless to say the "few pints method" works well, but does infer that after a couple of pints, I still have good enough reactions according to the authorities
  13. Do you take payment for your work? If so and its not your day job, then I'm afraid you are a part-time trader. Its not fair for some to pay to advertise and some to "put threads to help others" when new work (trade) may come from it We cost sod all to advertise on, so its not like you dont make the money back quickly.
  14. Good work Marco and Martin - I know what a ball ache this has been for you both - and to get everyone sorted is simply amazing
  15. No, you have to twist the dealer's arm. +1 - just like the 350z, the thicker mat is an extra - which annoyingly they sometimes display in the car making you think its standard
  16. Removed link as it was categorised as P2P by my work firewall which means it could be dodgy. I suggest if anyone wants to use it that they PM haz and he can send them the link privately.
  17. Zeds (350 and 370) are deceptively quick. They dont feel it, but get it next to something you think is fast and suddenly you realise just how quick they are. Its because the torque curve is so flat - more so in the 370z - it doesnt build, its just there and pushes you to the readline.
  18. Sounds like fun! I get 29MPG commuting on a mix of A/B road and motorway. Had over 30MPG on longer motorway journeys.
  19. Can I have 2 please sir - and no not both for me
  20. I assume this should be in the 350z section?
  21. Thought you got 2 years free as part of the price? Sure I heard that somewhere. Would also explain why so many become available after a short time from new Also made me laugh on Fifth Gear - they had to put the GTR up against a car costing considerably more from Porker to get the same performance. Had they done it on price point, theres no way the Porker would have won.
  22. Personally, I'd get another CCTV cam or even a P&S cam on time delayed shooting (where it takes a shot every 5sec or so, with a massive memory card in it). Wire up motion lights that light up from the house and also from the drive. Make sure its all nicely hidden so he cant see it. You need to make sure you catch them out first time and with good quality images. Maybe a neighbour over the street will allow you to use one of their rooms facing your property to film from?
  23. 3 main things are filter, y-pipe and decats/hi-flow cats, and plenum spacer is a nice to have. They get the biggest gains. Only thing you are missing from the list there are cat replacements
  24. I'll keep my Black Edition ta, its more exclusive Just cant justify the extra price demanded by Porsche, atleast when they are brand new. Just doesnt have enough "more" of anything other than badge snobbery. I found the Cayman I took on track very good indeed, but not night and day better than my 350z (at the time) and certainly no better than my 370z.
