  1. Think the others have largely covered this off, but heres my 2p's worth. It can sounds quite harsh up the top end of the rev range with the stock exhaust, but get this swapped out and an UpRev map and you dont *have* to go anywhere near it, just ride the bundles of torque and off you go. Tyre noise is annoying, and its purely down to the tyres themselves IMO. When you hit smooth tarmac the tyre roar dissapears instantly. I think new tyres will solve this. Also the new MY2011 cars come with tweaked sound deadening and suspension to try and help this. With respect to long trips. I did around 800 miles over the recent Wales weekend and loved every minute of it. Also, we are going to France later this year and are taking the Zed. That will be another 1.5k miles put on it at considerable expense, but one I want to make as I want to take it with me. So for me - go for it - you wont regret it - just get a new exhaust and UpRev map to make the most of it
  2. Embrace the tent If I could have gotten up there earlier I would have given you a hand bud, been camping since before I could walk, not found a tent yet that I cant put up or requiring instructions
  3. It appears X6 is <2005 and X7 is >2005 with a change over somewhere in 2005. Would be interesting to see how this works with the newer 370z with HDD rather than DVD maps. I guess it copies the maps onto the HDD, or it simply doesnt work with MY10+ 370z. I didnt realise X7 was for the newer 350z's too, I thought they were X6
  4. No worries, easy mistake. Sure people can find it with Google if they are that way inclined
  5. Hmm interesting, appears the maps are the same. I guess the maps must be compeletely seperate from the software. Maybe I should tag along and see if it works in my MY10 370z
  6. I assume the software is copyrighted so removed the link
  7. Did you use a foam applicator? I find these are exellent for getting a super thin layer down which is a lot easier to buff off and also means you can leave it longer to cure. I find if you put too much on, if you leave it a long time to cure, you quite literally cant get it off and I have to apply some fresh so that the softeners in it can remove the old and allow you to get it thin enough to remove.
  8. How very odd. How do you access the net on your iPad? When working in London, I used my iPad on my commute and never had any problems with the site or PMs on it. I'll fire it up tonight and see what I find. It must be caching the page or something
  9. PB cures to a white finish and does powder up as you say Rim Wax does, but when you buff it off its all gone and just feels silky smooth/slippy. Once you buff off any sealant no residue should reappear. Sounds very odd of Rim Wax to do that, maybe you had a duffer? I know some carnauba waxes can come back to a haze after a while (DD SN2 can), thats the natural wax sweating. Could have been something similar? You could try some PB sealant and see how that goes - I find it works very well
  10. That would be very sensible - it can go from to in all of 10 minutes
  11. Yeah seems reasonable now Positive thoughts everyone
  12. I'm finding my 370z is giving the same MPG as my 350z did - not bad for ~240HP (wheels) vs ~310HP (hub)
  13. But you dont live in the Lakes. Like Wales, the weather forcast can say one thing and you get something completely different. Mountains tend to mess up their ability to predict weather tbh. In flatter areas its a lot easier. Everyone just MTFU and get on with it!
  14. Where abouts are you based? We have a few members with MY09 370z so may be able to try one of their discs out? I cant for one reason think why if you didnt get the right disc it wont work. Spot on with the section BTW
  15. The orange Cayman Turbo they had in Evo - yesh please Looks awesome in white too
  16. With Sax players? She's rather ataken to this chap and his band, and he is rather good! We're pretty much sold on them now I strongly disapprove of sax before marriage though. Boom tish Almost as good as the first time you text it to me
  17. OEM bonnet is Alu IIRC so no weight saving. As you say other panels such as boot lid and door arent so, so you save a lot more. Also Rays wheels are supprisingly light, not many are lighter (for a reasonable price), most people end up swapping them for heavier wheels
