  4. Well, depends on which side this switch is. The left one out of three on mine doesn't have any function.

    Pics Of Tinting?

Maybe a little late, but here are some pics of my tint. (35% light goes through) It was quite sunny, it might look darker with less direct sunlight.
  6. Looks so much better than stock, doesn't it? Enjoy your new rims and be careful now with parking etc.!!
  7. ^^^^+1 Agreed, very nice of you to share every thought you have about your car; show at least some pics to us
  8. I'm thinking of getting the Pioneer Avic-hd1bt. Don't know if this model is the same for you UK guys. I normally like Alpine, but I don't like the way it sticks out quite a bit in the Z (the popular double din model, can't remember the name exactly).
  9. Nismo would be suitable for a SC. More guys in the states run a setup with nismo+vortech. A SC isn't so reliable on the exhaust as turbo('s) are. If you're thinking about turbocharging your car, don't get the Nismo. Otherwise you can pick any exhaust you like, gains with or without the sc will be comparable...

  11. Clicking axles: Still hear a 1 tic every once in a while, but could be something else. Bose stereo: This new unit (not refurbished) is even worse than the old one. This one cuts out both sides/skips etc. Driver seat lower part, premature leather wear Driver seat back part, premature leather wear (going in tomorrow) Boot struts (going in tomorrow)
  12. The polished one will definitely look better, unless you're going for a blue theme in your engine bay. I have the polished one, a friend of mine has the blue one. The blue looks cheaper to be honest. Installation is fairly easy, just take your time. Only one bolt for a certain bracket in the front bumper is hard to get to.
  13. Somehow I think this not gonna be the only Veyron which will be crashed... Poor owner though, even if he wasn't speeding, I'm sure everyone says he was. With such a car, your guilty before trial.
  14. I hope they justed fitted it for the picture and took it off straigh away!
  15. Difficult to say whether I gained or lost any hp. I bought it for the optics and sound, imo the perfect cai. I prefer the looks over a pop charger, although the Typhoon is more expensive. I got mine from eBay as it worked out the cheapest. Also I got the 'new' polished version. The old polished version had a blue rubber piece connecting the throttle body and the airpipe. The new one has a black one, which imo looks better. I think that's the only difference though. Model # for 'new' polished one: 69-7070TP I bought it from this guy, shipping was 75$ for me (to Belgium) http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/K-N-Typh ... QQtcZphoto
  16. I couldn't agree more! Why spare your Z for the next owner? It's such a great car to drive with and it looks so damn good! I do +- 15K miles each year with my Z. I would consider a 4 door saloon for the real harsh winter days and moving people around. Also it would be nicer for shopping as I managed to damage the interior already.
  17. I have mine for 7 months now and like it even more then I used to. My hints for keeping the Z: -Drive some other cars which you consider worth upgrading. Normally better to ask some friends than a dealer. You will soon discover that none of them is worth the money/fun to replace the Z. -Add some mods to your car. I can't tell you often enough how new wheels completely change the look of your car. If normally 2/10 people were looking at your car, now it'll be 7/10. Of course this will cost you a reasonable amount of money, but nothing compared to getting a different car!
  18. I better not mention the problem with Axis wheels cracking in certain conditions There used to be quite some people with cracked rims from Axis, but that was a long time ago. Seems to be solved.
  19. I have the K&N Typhoon and love it. It looks good in the engine bay (I have the polished version). The sound produced by it will increase with the rpm. It's definitely not chavy and it just adds a deeper sound when going wot. I don't have any soundclips as it wouldn't come out well. For installation, I just used one of these for the nasty bolts holding down the MAF sensor:
  20. I thought I had a leak or something as I once put in 9 liters or so Luckily I found this thread now

    Pics Of Tinting?

I can really recommend the Titanium. I think it lets 36% light in and during the day it doesn't look too dark at all. It just gives the car a little extra, not that people first spot the really dark windows, then the rest of the car . I haven't been able to take pictures yet as it has been raining all the time. I would recommend to only tint the side + rear window. Tinting the front window is a bad decision if your car is your daily driver... If I'm in an unlit very dark area, it's a bit difficult to see through the rear window via the mirror. Here the PDC + '06 led lights help out, just brake a little and you see enough.

    Pics Of Tinting?

I hope I remember to make some pics tomorrow.... I have Llumar, Titanium. Works really well. The visibility from inside is very good. From the outside you can see the windows are tinted, but it isn't extreme. So no problem with police etc .
