  1. One of the best looking z's fitted with the nismo kit I've seen! Any pics of the engine bay with the dual intakes?
  2. I also have a polished plenum, but not nearly as detailed as yours! Especially the polished throttle body looks very good! I couldn't get mine done anywhere near my house.
  3. That is indeed a very good price. I got them for 105 Euro including delivery from the US and that was a good deal.
  4. Enjoy the exotic cars driving on the ring! I've seen many nice cars there on the parking and driving the track. Think of Audi R8's, all lambo's, ferrari F50, 360's, 430's, a 599, Donkervoorts, etc. I personally don't like the track experience of the ring too much. Maybe it is better to wait till almost closing time. I went once for 2 sessions and the ring was full of busses(!), very slow or very fast motorbikes, old people with a 911 who never went faster than 80 mph. For me it's better to go to an organised track day where all people know what they're doing (or pretend to).
  5. The only problem I have with my steering, is going around a 270 degree highway turn with 70+ mph or highspeed 90 degree turns. Then my steering axle seems to rub on something. It might be the different headers I have which don't leave enough space for a bit of movement during extreme forces on the steering/engine.
  6. The engine bay will look great with 2 cold air intakes!
  7. I agree with all things been said above. Keep your eyes on the road as much as possible, not on the speedometer. The Z is stable on proper roadsurface. On older highways you do have to hold on to the steering wheel, I definitely wouldn't try to take both my hands of the steering wheel. Also be careful with slow bends on the highway, it takes a lot more effort to stay in 1 lane doing 150+. I know from experience . For the rest it's the normal stuff. Be ready to brake when you see a few cars behind eachother. The closing speed is very high at 150mph and they tend to move over to the fast lane thinking it was all clear. I have a piece of private road on the border of Belgium/Holland where I do 150+ everyday coming back from work . Fines for speeding have gone up by 50% in both Belgium and Holland in the last couple of years. So yes, it can get very expensive.
  8. Have you done a audio installation recently? Sometimes the water comes in via those electrical wires layed down for the new audio.
  9. I have to agree with all above, as I'm a GTS owner myself
  10. That Z is the sickest Z out there imo (4.2L TT). He has new wheels though: http://www.my350z.com/forum/showthread.php?t=285098 CF bonnet/hatch will look good if your Z has already a nice bodykit. On just a standard Z without any exterior modifications, it will look a bit weird.
  11. What type of oil filter are you guys using? I have the K&N oil filter at the moment, which turned out to be relatively expensive after paying shipment from the US. I definitely don't want to get an OEM oil filter at the stealership where they charge way too much. You can buy the oem for +- 5$ in the US. So, any other good options out there for the Z?
  12. I have a stubby for over a year now, still perfect reception. I listen to the radio everyday as the Bose sucks for playing CD's...
  13. If I'm not mistaken, Dave is active on detailingworld as well with some stunning results!
  14. I would like to remove the reflectors as well. I just got scared by some people who did it and got water in them after some time.... Even with this reflector, I still prefer them over the OEM 2006 ones. Too bad they aren't bi-xenon. Btw, I have the 2006 rear leds as well. One of the best upgrades you can do.
  15. Great wheels. Just wondering why you took 265's in the front? I thought 255 was already pretty wide for the front as most people go for 245's. I have 255 and I think that's the maximum I would want to have on my 9.5" front wheels. Turning in is less sharp as with the oem 225's, although stability on high speeds (130mph+) increased. Let me know what your experience is with the 265/285 setup. I have 275's on the rear and probably go for 285's next.
  16. Excellent shots to emphasize how big that oem antenna is!

    New rear tyres

I couldn't agree more. Just spend a little more and the handling of your car in wet conditions will improve with 200%. Also during hard acceleration in dry conditions, the esp won't come on so easily anymore as with the bridgestones. Those bridgestones are dangerous imo and should be replaced asap to enjoy the full potential of the Z.
  18. I just replied to your PM I know your budget is 2k, but for 500 more you have mine brand new with tyres fitted, import taxes and shipping cost included. Believe me, my car gets so many looks from all different type of people. 5 Year old boys screaming 'WOW, daddy, WOW' to 65 yr old people walking by and pausing for 10 seconds to have a good look at the wheels. I've even seen people tripping over some objects as they were only paying attention to my car rather than the ground So I can definitely say, nice wheels change the car completely! Few more pic to try to convince you . Sorry to all the people who've seen my wheels already and get sick of me posting them everywhere
  19. Tyres, are they for the 18" rays? I'd advise Michelin Pilot Sport 2, although Toyo's might be almost as good and cheaper. However, the michelins probably last longer. For the brakepads and discs, bigphil will join in shortly I guess... He has some nice DBA discs and Ferodo pads. This would be a good combination for a good price. If I needed to replace my clutch, I'd get the ACT heavy duty clutch with the prolight or streetlight flywheel. This combination is 900$ in the US, don't know about local prices in the UK.
  20. I didn't know you're able to get them in run flat... Interesting.

    Nobody can beat sl114
  22. IMO twin turbo will cost twice as much as a supercharger.... Although Forged Performance have a good deal going on Greddy TT kits: http://www.my350z.com/forum/showthread.php?t=270261
  23. Nice wheels, but get them in 19" though...
  24. Have a look here for more info on the 2007 engine etc: http://www.my350z.com/forum/showthread.php?t=264844 http://www.my350z.com/forum/showthread.php?t=260222
