  1. I did consider the pies option, but my measurement benchmark is actually my arms, maybe they are growing out of proportion and I am becoming a knuckle dragger???? Agreed Andy, I can live with it, just dont want to be driving down the street one day and find the car tries to kill me by crushing me into the wheel
  2. It's not even Halloween yet and I have haunted seats. No, not heated seats, haunted seats. Every time I get in the car the seat has moved close to the steering wheel, just by about a centimetre or so, if I dont drive the car for a few days it can be quite noticeable. I just seem to be forever putting the seat back, not whilst driving, just when I get in. Before anyone asks, nobody else drives the car and I am the only person with access to the keys. Any ideas? Is this a known issue? Is there a TSB? Its not like its a big issue or anything, its not even annoying (yet!) its just a curiosity. Still under warranty, but what am I going to say to the dealer? No way Im going to leave it with them to let them "watch" the seat for two days whilst they try and figure it out. Think I might stick some kind of graduated tape on the seat rail so I can monitor it accurately when I get out of and back into the car to make sure I am not inadvertently hitting the button or something daft like that. Any thoughts or ideas appreciated.

    I'll give one a try then, looking for something study enough to screw the Fire-Ex to. You could easily fix the Fire Extinguisher to the TC, it will hold it, but I would advise fixing a bracket to the bottom to the unit doesnt slip will defo give one a go then, let me kno when you have stock, i could collect as you are local or wait till the next reading meet

  6. Unfortunately there is no simple input for the standard head unit, but it i "possible" with some fiddling I believe, there is someone on here that has done so.

    I fancy one too. Can I ask what they are made of / how sturdy they are?
  9. Bet it looked Not that you are biased or anything... TBH it was moving too fast to appreciate
  10. We were into real-time simulators running on SGs (from Impact, Octane through to Onyx and Power Onyx ). Produced real-time vis sims for the MoD (here and in Norway), Schiphol ATC and Flanders docks pliots amongst others. The biz went tits up at about the time SG were trying to move onto PC-based and they never quite got it right. We actually ended up using PC Quantum 3D boxes - sure they've gone too now Is all that in english? For people like me, yes. For people like you .... not sure I always enjoyed the 3D battletank game on the SG's , much more fun than computational fluid dynamics. Geek alert!
  11. Indeed! but its also just a £10 radio control servo mounted in a folded ally box for which they want > £100. I would rather do it myself and mount the servo inside the Zed's bumper so there would be no protrusion of any sort. How does yours work hido? Can we have a close up of the plate in the flip position?
  12. I passed and flashed you (with the lights! )
  13. We passed at the top of the hill, Thursday morning about 08:30, I was stationary in traffic.
  14. Could get one here -> http://speedflip.com/
  15. I think you mean Ebisu Ibitsu sounds like a sneeze!
  16. As the guys said above, they are pointless, you can have mine! Yes it did detect the camera van, but all it did was confirm what I already knew, I had been lasered. Sure enough a week later the NIP fell through the letterbox. Laser jammers, that another matter, but they are illegal and will see you prosecuted for perverting the course of justice. So dont get one of those..... Though I do hear that the Laser ProPark is the dog danglies (its a laser parking aid that tells you the distance to your garage wall but an unfortunate side effect is that it just happens to confuse just about all laser guns, including those with a stealth mode). So clearly you wouldnt want to fit one of those
  17. I don't care Well I do! They look light so thats all the matters As long as they are lighter than Liam's Z's Antera's Think my sofa is lighter than Antera's
  18. Dont suppose you know the reg plate of the unmarked do you? mugwump the innocent
  19. Same thing happened to me a few years ago, heard nothing, hopefully it will be the same for you. One flash or two? Gatso's measure your speed using doppler shift of a radar signal transmitted from the unit, doppler shift *magnitude* is the same whether you are traveling towards or away from it (although the frequency shift is up if approaching and down if retreating) but it is quite possible to trigger the camera when traveling in either direction. Gatso's with film in take two photos precisely timestamped, the lines in the road allow your speed to be calculated by measuring the distance travelled in the time between the two photos should someone contest the calibration of the camera measured speed in court.
  20. used chipsaway when I scuffed my Zed (have the pics somewhere which I meant to post up). They seem to have a loose but standard pricing based on the size of the damage, this is by no means documented but its the feeling I got based on the conversation I had when they assessed mine. Anything you could cover with your hand ~£70 up to about a foot long ~£110 (that was before AA discount). But they are a franchise jobs so there could easily be pricing variation between locations (and standard of work) but my repair was pretty good.
