  1. dabbled with plone on RH FC5/6 just dont tell anyone
  2. been using it for about 3 years (since ~ workstation 3/4 I think) but then I am very sad.....
  3. As I think I have said on this forum before, I *really* like the Bridgestones, especially in the wet (go on, flame me now!) because I find them quite predictable, you always know you will have no grip! and I would rather have a tyre that lets go at a much lower limit and catch the slide than get to twice the speed and be in the ditch..... Like I said, its my driving style that does it, I just need something with great wear resistance. I have no problems generating tyre temperature , used the 'stones through the winter and still love em. Erm...Yes....just a bit! Whats ESP?
  4. Anyone have any recommendations for some *very* hardwearing tyres? I seem to be eating through them at an astonishing rate! Ok, my driving style is *slightly* to blame but I enjoy it..... but my tyre wear is nothing like as good as that reported by some on here. Do you drive like girls?
  5. Hi Ming, Whilst I agree in principle to what you are saying, and also agree that you need to practice something to improve does the above statement not suggest that the high speed driver training does not completely reflect the emotions, adrenaline, thrill of the chase, or whatever involved in the real world? If it did surely the accident rate would be about the same? I'm not getting into a debate about whether this ruling was right or wrong, I'm just asking why there should be a disparity in the accident statistics between training and the real world because clearly something is different if your statement is correct.
  6. Or, on *someone elses computer* on the main google page, select preferences and change their language preference to "elmer fudd" or if you really dont like them change it "Klingon" (or "Kwingon" if coming via elmer fudd...)
  7. Get the netcraft toolbar installed in your browser, it checks the identity of the sites you are visiting and warns/prevents you from visiting fraudulent sites. Very unobtrusive and minimal overhead. and its free http://toolbar.netcraft.com/
  8. sl114 choptop Sarnie (aka spamalot) Andy Mugwump (so he can buy Sarnie a pint)
  9. Good effort mate, you have set the benchmark for us to beat I am pouring you a beer as we speak, unfortunately I am doing it as slowly as you are uploading so you might just get it in time for Christmas! Vids were uploaded and posted ages ago divvy, check out the new threads I was waiting so long that I hacked my own head off with a large knife and now cant see the computer screen. Your beer tastes nice through a straw though!

  11. ....this was there as well mmmmm belongs to this man http://paulcundy.smugmug.com/gallery/359222/2/14277042 well known on noble forum
  12. Perhaps we should locate a warm pub nearby for post meet defrosting..... but as its a car meet we will have to act responsibly and share a lemonade.
  13. Oh why are we waiting.............. in the meantime, what did you do with your tyre pressures in the end?
  14. How? OK Mr Pedant, perhaps I should hve phrased it differently. What I meant is because the tonneau sits at the front of the brace it offers a bit more space behind it than the other DIY covers that people were proposing that sit at the rear of the arch. but yes there clearly is no more boot space, unfortunately Mark has not invented a tardis cover.....
  15. Well I can now say I am the proud owner of one of captint's tonneau covers and its a perfect fit and I was really pleased to discover it fits at the front of the rear strut - gives a nice seamless appearence to the rear deck and gives that bit of extra boot space. Quality job! thanks Mark.
  16. We had 5 again tonight, not bad considering it was a low turnout from the other vehicle marques, was much quieter than the last meet. Guess the cold went right up their induction kit......
  17. Hanel Captint Stevie_350z mugwump (after about 7~7:30) any more? Is H5 coming?
  18. Why? It sounds like great fun They even have a name for it it's called The Gumball Agreed! but thats the type of trip you do with your mates. Earlier posts in this section metioned some fools wanted to bring partners which undoubtedly means stopping for certain "chores" (shopping, sightseeing, spa vists etc).
  19. Im with you lomoto, its supposed to be a holiday! Yes I know we are all hooning around in sports cars but I would still like to think we take things at a leisurely pace along the way. Also banking on doing that journey on your own is one thing, getting a crowd together, getting someone lost, trying to lose Sarnie, allowing for breaks that accomodate everyone just makes that distance sound ambitious. Also, having some shorter stints allows some people to say "I want a rest day" or "I really like this town I want to stay another night" and they can still catch up to you the next day by doing a long stint if they choose to. Dragging everyone across europe on an aggresive itinery with no room for flexibility sounds like asking for trouble. I'd like to think we go away, make some new friends and on return think "I cant wait till next year" rather than "Christ! I am never doing that again". Maybe its just 'cos I'm an old fart that I look forward to the break on a holiday now. Though I still have fond memories of the jaunts to Magny Cours for a 4 day blast to the GP and sleeping on the side of the French Motorway on route
  20. How about we make Sarnie a Mod so he has less time to post???
  21. Val, When did you start talking Jedi?
