  1. Now sold to cookiemonster, thanks to all those that expressed an interest. Enjoy it mate, it will transform the experience.....
  2. because I wanted to assure any purchaser it was in good condition. If I was buying it I would want to see a photo. Maybe im just too honest
  3. teaser pics below http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/z5xlyfonWBp7FQy0HVOG6w?authkey=Gv1sRgCLaE2KHgpP2xTg&feat=directlink http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/VFaHGtp_2wUxJyCIZt_G4Q?authkey=Gv1sRgCLaE2KHgpP2xTg&feat=directlink http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/wDogeh_0z53rbHj0kUhLVg?authkey=Gv1sRgCLaE2KHgpP2xTg&feat=directlink sorry they are not great but the light was fading and it is very difficult to photo *very* shiny things I have to say the pipework has taken on a dark straw temper colour and the front has some surface corrosion but it really is just surface as a result of the extreme heat from the cats. I will get some photos of the other sections up soon. Enjoy for now.
  4. You can't post that in your own thread I can and I did! I was only saving you from doing it before long. Ahhhh, I have missed the banter on here.
  5. PM's replied to, thanks for the interest guys. As stated it will be off the car tommorow and then I will organise some photos.
  6. I'm sorry to say that i'm selling my much loved Zed but she is getting replaced with something special. That is another topic however so I wont clutter this for sale thread by going too far OT. Thanks for the pm nudges, I have not checked them yet as I have to shoot off now to get some work done before the singapore qualifying but will get back to you shortly.
  7. Its done about 20K miles. The parts I can see readily look in very good condition clearly I can give a better view when its off the car on Monday. The tips need a good polish as they are bit stained right now but being stainless they come up gorgeous
  8. I'm down south mostly, although I will be up North on the 5th/6th October if the date suited anyone. Other future dates may be available . If in the south anywhere from Oxford/Aylesbury/Reading/West London/Southampton even Bristol, Exeter or Newton Abbot may be possible (I get round a bit ) However, if I'm delivering long distance you may have to forego the box. I just got it out the garage. I had forgotten how big the box is!
  9. Hard to source a Nismo in the uk? not if you buy the one I have up for sale! http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=27962
  10. As we speak it is on the car but is being removed Monday so I should hopefully get some pics up Tuesday. All I could post right now is picture of the box and the section that is visible when its on the car so if you can bear with me for a bit
  11. Used but in good condition, with box, think i even have the fitting instructions Make me a sensible offer and she's yours, I may even deliver depending on area (or a petrol contribution )
  12. you followd me for about 20 mins, I was the filthy red menace in front of you Your car looked great in the sun!
  13. Very tasteful mods there and nice stoppers. As others have said, in stock form the Z is a better drive on the limit (but not as comfortable ride). Lose 2 seats of course. Oh and more people will let you out of side junctions
  14. They are a quick tool, but even with the performance upgrades they are a little soft for the track. Its as quick as a zed (if not quicker) and easier to live with everyday but the non turbo handles better (alloy block makes it alot lighter in the nose than the iron block turbo).
  15. Too high! and where are your hands? car looks good though.
  16. I may have them, whereabouts are you if I have to collect? PM me if preferred
  17. Was it a blue Beemer? an M coupe? If so I may know who the Z was?
  18. If you are driving properly the traction will not kick in, if you are doing it deliberately fine, but if it ever catches you out on a roundabout then you need to practice delicate throttle control until you can sucessfully negotiate a wet roundabout just below the point where the traction kicks in. It will actually let you have quite a prolonged slide if you keep the boot in and you are smooth with the wheel, what it does try to prevent is rapid lift off oversteer which is the natural reaction of people caught unawares. You also cannot turn the 350z stability control off completely (I wont explain that as I dont want everyone crying to me when they get it wrong but the trail brakers will know what I mean!) Different tyres behave differently, as do the same tyres when they are new compared to old and mixing tyres front to back is just the same, it changes the balance of the car and you have to re-learn how the car behaves.
  19. How new? any tyres can be slippy when very new. Personally I love the potenzas (even in the wet) as do a few others on here but the majority seem not to favour them. I would never run them at 26psi though as one poster suggested, you will take the shoulders off inside a lap. I ran them at 46psi (yes forty six, maufacturer limit for them is 51, knock off 10% = 46psi) and had no problems and predictable handling but I do drive thm *very* hard. Where abouts are you? I in the south/southeast you would be hard pushed to get better value for money than a day with Andy Walsh at http://www.carlimits.com
  20. The ECU wont adjust immediately on the way up, its pretty quick on the way down because the knock sensor causes the engine to back off the timing but you need to get to nearly empty, fill up with 97, run that through and the next tankful of 97 after that will show the full improvement. Having said that I only really noticed the power benefit when *hooning*, I suspect because the timing map is not that different at lower rpm for either fuel, motorways showed very little difference in mpg for me.
  21. Yes.....and no, its not quite that simple, although the wheel is lighter the rotating mass is further from the hub, so it affects the handling, acceleration and braking performance. I know it is the extreme but ever notice that F1 cars and karts dont have low profile tyres (but they dont have much suspension travel either and much of this movement comes from the tyre). Touring cars on the other hand have fairly low profile tyres but on *very* lightweight magnesium rims, try finding these in 20"s though....... If you want performance stick with the 18's, for looks go bigger. If you want both, have both and swap them for track days, trying to compromise is exactly that, a compromise. +1 and well put.. BTW; do you live at your own circuit? Looks like a tyrewall in the background? :envy: or are they haybales?

  23. Apologies to all non-geek heads, this will undoubtedly appear as gobbledegook! Anyone know how to backup DESLOCK+ encrypted directories to a non-encrypted archive without un-encrypting the entire tree first? Scenario - dont want to carry personal/company data on a laptop/USB drive in cleartext so its encrypted using DESLOCK+. However whilst this protects the data should the device get stolen or lost your data is still secure but you dont have a copy of it. So you back it up. However, DESLOCK wont let you copy an encrypted tree to another folder it seems, also I'd like the server copy of the backups to be unencrypted so that the data is accesible without the encryption keys. If anyone knows anything please shout! PITA! been fighting with CYGWIN which is incompatible with Zonealarm it seems and now bl**dy DESLOCK. Rant over. How are we all?
  24. What Andy said is great advice from my experience. Also phone your local citizens advice, they are not as qualified but can certainly help in the assessment of the case and again the advice is free. The point about damages being limited as Andy wrote is really important, you can only claim for your material loss not all "damages", it is also capped. The only exception is if you have been discriminated against where the damages are then unlimited on the basis of Sex, Race etc. I also know its so wrong to say, but its also worth considering what this means when you go for your next job. Your new potential employer will ask about the circumstances of your departure. You might feel you are the moral victor but is it worth it for a small payout, significant stress and an (unfair & unwarranted) blot on your career? Alternatively go for a compromise agreement, the company pays you off and you agree to say no more about it (basically you sign away your rights). Alot of companies do this to avoid bad publicity/dragging the process out/legal fees (why pay a lawyer 10K if they can just pay you that to shutup and clear off). I wish you luck with whatever you decide
