  1. i prefer this..... tw*t. Funny but shocking! EDIT: That post would have made sense if I had pasted the URL!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UtFk-O4B7Ps&NR
  2. Welcome and enjoy the Zed. In my experience Laser detectors are a waste of time (and I have the points to prove it!). If the thing goes off chances are its because you have just been illuminated and its too late. Changes to the Road Traffic act going through parliament are proposing to ban all forms of radar/laser detector and jammer. After that the only legal option will be a GPS based speed camera warning device which I can recommend. Of course if you like to live dangerously you probably want a pro-park http://www.brspecialtuning.co.uk/Propark.htm
  3. No worries, handbook is in the car too. The young captint prepares himself for battle.....
  4. Sold! to the man in the primer coloured Zed. If we both make it to the Reading meet next week I'll hand it over then if thats easier. Should either of us not make it PM me your address and I'll stick it in the post. Fancy a bit of Motorsport eh Mark? I can bung you a copy of the MSA competitors handbook too if you want one? Cheers Mugwump, are you going to the reading Jap meet? Did you read my post??? Thought I could not be clearer I plan to, have put it in the car ready so if you rememer to ask I'll hand it over. Should either of us not make it I'll stick it in the post.
  5. Hi Kev, I am confused by your post (easily done). The 255 or 245 relates to they tyre width? So why does this impact the rolling radius? I can understand that a tyre on a 19" wheel has a reduced sidewall which will produce the effect you describe (more noise and stress) but what has this to do with the width? or did I miss something? Just after clarity because I want to go to 19"s (or maybe even 20"s) and the benefit of your experience would be great.

  10. I'd buy one........ purely for the irony
  11. Raise your tyre pressures *alot*, will slightly reduce your grip but it will stop you tearing the edges off your tyres
  12. BTW, did you misread the topic? It was about wider WHEELS !
  13. But who cares? Glad to see this forum has maintained its level of political correctness that we have all come to love.
  14. No. Start of . Agree on the lets talk about something interesting comment.
  15. You're getting the hang of this moderator lark Sorry, off topic
  16. Margin is going to be tight though (if you forgive the artistic license maths below). Stiggy beat his Liana time in the Zed by about 11 seconds and you would assume him to be pretty consistent and leaving minimal margin for error. Over a 90 second lap thats ~10% quicker. So if you are within 10% of the stig (which in your own zed I doubt, as I said not because of your driving but because you your car!) I will regard you as a driving god! Stigs time +10% = 1:40.98.
  17. Can you get 4 hours of footage on a DVD?
  18. I'll put money on that you dont better 1:40! Not knocking your driving but unless you are a track day regular I reckon a bit of "Zed protectionism" kicks in. The risks you will take and the abuse you will give someone elses Suzuki Liana wont come close to how you treat your Zed, you will want to leave bigger gaps to the tyre walls and wont bounce off the kerbs in your Zed. (just making excuses for when I go!) Look forward to hearing your result though. Hope you have a great day, and make sure you come back on here *immediately* to tell us how you got on. Now get out there and prove me wrong
  19. At least they painted mine Really? I thought that was primer?
