  1. My neighbour is looking for one about 3/4 years old, preferably in black or silver, and is finding it hard to locate one in Scotland. He has tried Autotrader but with little luck so far. Any suggestions?
  2. Stop hesitating and put them on. I bought mine from an eBay trader at Christmas, and only got round to getting them painted and fitted at Easter. Wish I had done it sooner. I think they set the car off well, and agree with Tim that they help prevent chips. edit: that reminds me, I'll need to change my signature pic now.
  3. A UK model, travelling east on the A89 towards the Boghall roundabout in Bathgate. Earlier, also spotted a GM in Livingston, parked near the Almondvale roundabout, and a silver one on the M9 near Falkirk just a bit later. Waved at the sunset and silver, but I don't think you saw me.
  4. £77!!! Dream on - Chris at Funkystyling will do them for £45.
  5. As others have said, good to see another Scot on here. I bought my Z from MacKays, and I was very happy with the service, price etc. If they are still doing the same deal, you get it cheaper if you pay a deposit before it arrives in the UK. I waited until I saw it and drove a couple before committing, and was happy to pay that bit extra for peace of mind. They do the full conversion, Bimta certificate and so on. My insurance is no more expensive than for a UK spec car.
  6. Is that one house? How many Zeds do they own? !!!
  7. Maybe they were all heading to a meet, and didn't tell me!

    350Z help???

For advanced driving, I recommend the Institute of Advanced Motorists. There are local groups all over the country and you can get details at - http://www.iam.org.uk For track and high speed training, try the Knockhill circuit - they offer a variety of courses.
  9. Where have they suddenly all come from? I saw a sunset coupe at the Craigie roundabout on the Kingsway East in Dundee at 12.30. Later, a Kuro coupe in Broughty Ferry at around 2.30. The third, a GM coupe, passed me on the A90 heading towards Perth at around 3.30. At just after 4.00, an Azure coupe heading north on the A9 near Gleneagles, then another GM at the Dunblane roundabout around 5.00. I think they were all UK models.
  10. See this thread for speedo conversion info. http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic ... highlight=
  11. They are definitely overpriced. The roadster is an automatic, therefore JDM (despite the UK rear bumper), and they want £26k for it! And - would you trust a car dealer who still doesn't know how to spell warranty?
  12. Hi Jim Whilst my car was off the road things stopped as I thought I was going to have a £350 excess to pay!! The car is due back next week and I must get my proverbial AR*E into gear. It was the fitting of my latest idea that caused the damage to the car in the first place - indirectly that is!! There are other ideas in the pipeline all being well!! Ming the cautious I'm glad you will be getting the Z back soon. I think I speak for a lot of us when I say that I am looking forward to the next instalment.
  13. Me too - works fine.
  14. Congratulations Louis - I am sure it's very well deserved. It's always good to see you youngsters making your way in this cruel and competitive world.

    shell petrol

When I first got the Z I did a few detailed checks on the fuel economy. I found a small but significant improvement when I used the higher octane fuel, and have been using it most of the time since. I mostly use Shell V-Power, but I now have the option of Tesco, since they have eventually introduced the 99 octane fuel to my local forecourt.
