  1. I think you'll find they are the same system as used on the 200SX. You should be able to source them OK.

    Try R35Lee or ZMANALEX.

    JDM battery

Right folks, it's now sorted. The suppliers are prepared to exchange batteries for me, so I should have the right battery tomorrow morning. Thanks for the help and advice.
  5. Sorry - couldn't resist. Thye do look good, though, and I like the idea of having the website in the surround. I just got 350Z on mine.
  6. You need to adjust your front plate - it's slightly squint!

Thanks Mike. I'll be in touch in the morning.

    JDM battery

Can I possibly leave it until I have spoken to the suppliers in the morning? If they agree to exchange it, even if I have to pay the full cost of delivery etc., I will probably just do that. If not, I'll take photos and offer it up for sale and you can move it into the appropriate section.

    JDM battery

Now I'm trying to find out which UK spec battery is best. I have searched previous threads but the best advice (from Lomoto some years ago) seems to be to squeeze the biggest one you can fit into the space. The problem is that the nearest suppliers to me locally are Halfords and I don't trust them to get it right! Anybody replaced theirs recently and can recommend one? Alternatively, can anyone post up the specifications of the OEM UK battery? Ah - L/W/H - CCA - Searching threads threw up this suggestion - can anyone confirm that this one will fit? http://www.tayna.co.uk/Type-005L-Varta- ... P3210.html

    JDM battery

I wasn't sure where to post this thread, so bear with me folks. Mods - please move as you think fit. I ordered a replacement battery for my JDM, based on advice given in these forums. This is the one I ordered. http://www.tayna.co.uk/Type-156-Varta-A ... P3204.html When it arrived today, I unpacked it and took it out to instal it, only to discover that the battery in my car had already been changed to a UK type with the larger terminals. I know - I should have checked before I ordered, but I have only really examined the battery in the dark before, and did not check what the terminal sizes were. I doubt whether the suppliers will let me return it, so I'm probably stuck with it and will still have to get a replacement. I can offer this battery to any JDM owner who still has the narrrow terminals at a much reduced price. Please PM me if you are interested in it.
  11. The last time I saw Paul's car (P15ULT), he had the centre console smoothed and painted in a nice anthracite colour. I was thinking of doing something similar, because it looked
  12. Good call, Alex. Geographically, Perth is about the closest to the most central point you can go.
  13. Looked at the list as it appeared a few pages ago, and where people are from their signatures - Aberdeen area = 5 Central belt = 3 Unknowns = 2 A few others seemed to be expressing interest for later, but haven't committed to the list - they include Maxi, Jay, Vik54 and Jamie Moy, all of whom are in the central Belt. It's up to Abbey to decide, of course, but somewhere around Dundee would appear to be the best location to suit most people. Hope this is helpful.
  14. Apologies if this is a repost, but I thought it was worth sharing...... A man walks out to the street and catches a taxi just going by. He gets into the taxi, and the cabbie says, 'Perfect timing. You're just like Frank.' Passenger: 'Who?' Cabbie: 'Frank Feldman.. He's a guy who did everything right all the time - like my coming along when you needed a cab, things happened like that to Frank Feldman every single time.' Passenger: 'There are always a few clouds over everybody.' Cabbie: 'Not Frank Feldman. He was a terrific athlete. He could have won the Grand-Slam at tennis. He could golf with the pros. He sang like an opera baritone and danced like a Broadway star and you should have heard him play the piano. He was an amazing guy.' Passenger: 'Sounds like he was something really special.' Cabbie: 'There's more. He had a memory like a computer. He remembered everybody's birthday. He knew all about wine, which foods to order and which fork to eat them with. He could fix anything. Not like me. I change a fuse, and the whole street blacks out. But Frank Feldman, could do everything right.' Passenger: 'Wow, some guy then.' Cabbie: 'He always knew the quickest way to go in traffic and avoid traffic jams. Not like me, I always seem to get stuck in them. But Frank, he never made a mistake, and he really knew how to treat a woman and make her feel good. He would never answer her back even if she was in the wrong; and his clothing was always immaculate, shoes highly polished too - he was the perfect man! He never made a mistake. No one could ever measure up to Frank Feldman.' Passenger: 'An amazing fellow. How did you meet him?' Cabbie: 'Well, I never actually met Frank; he died and I married his bloody wife!'

    Which wax?

There's nothing to beat a quick in betweener.
  19. Is this the retractable, spring-loaded cubby you're referring to? I have that one but can't work out how to remove the door for painting it. Yeah Right - I'll get back out tomorrow and have another look at it. Cheers Ian.

    Which wax?

I use purple haze with my GM, based on advice here - no complaints from me.
  22. I'm pretty sure this was posted around this time last year. Made me smile again, though.
