  1. Must pick one up tomorrow. Well done, Dave.
  2. I bought a 350Z badge set direct from Nissan when I got the car (I replaced the Fairlady badge). I'm sure it came with a plastic template to help you position all the numbers in the right place. Might be worth trying your local dealer to see if they have one.
  3. ....this afternoon in the retail park in Grahams Road, Falkirk. I waved, and he waved back! First time that's happened in four years. The car was very clean and shiny, by the way.
  4. I've been to them a couple of times for wheel alignment, tyre fitting etc., and have had no problems with them. Mind you, it's easier for me - they're only 3 miles away!
  5. to the best Z forum, Steve. I hope to visit Melbourne on our next trip to Australia - my daughter lives in Brisbane.
  6. Sorry - just checked again and you're right on both counts. Good luck with the sale.
  7. According to the HKS website, they shoud retail new at around £215. I think a couple of these, advertised as for the manual transmission, went through eBay recently for around £150. PS I thought that previous advice on here had suggested that there were different models for the manual and auto transmissions.

    30 second night shot

haha funny you guys mention it i was contemplating doing that and it wasn't freezing but it certainly wasn't Miami Excellent photos - well done! I thought the atmosphere they create was a bit reminiscent of the "Hotel California" album cover. I was also thinking about trying the light painting idea - read an article about it in Photo Plus magazine this month.

    JDM battery

I'm not using anything much in terms of ICE or Satnav, so I just need a standard battery. Halfords seem to have a reasonable range - I'll surely get one to fit the space OK.

    JDM battery

My battery is starting to play up after not being used for most of the recent cold spell. In fact, it's on the charger at the moment after failing to start the car this morning. Although the car started after only a few minutes on the charger, I think this is the first sign that the battery may be needing replaced soon. Having searched a few threads, I know that a few people have had to make the same change recently. However, apart from one member who got a Vartia battery at ABS in Guildford, I can't seem to find out what people eventually found to replace theirs. Can anyone who has replaced their battery recommend a specific model that is close to the spec of the original JDM one?
  11. Forfar is in Cupar or Angus..... Not Fife! Cheuchter yer causing more confusion Lesson for the southerners: Forfar = Angus = land of Bridies, smoked fish and castles Coupar Angus = Perthshire = land of hills, big beech hedges and castles Cupar = Fife = land of golf, more fish, and castles Sorry - as a geographer and professional pedant I just had to correct you there. Corrected for you Thanks Sarnie. There's no point in me denying it!
  12. ATTAK Z likes that From the given information can you figure out the name of my village Jim ? Not really, but I would guess you must be somewhere in the north-eastern corner of Derbyshire, not too far from Creswell, maybe?

  14. Looking for a set of these to modify. Must come from the standard 17" wheels. Anybody got a set lying around?
  15. Sold to sparky pending payment - sorry jim. No problems, Chris. It was worth a try. Must put out a wanted ad. for them.
  16. Second dibs after Sparky - PM sent.
  17. I've got the same car and put Toyos on all round last year. What an improvement it made to the handling, especially in the wet! I also found them quite good in the early snowfalls we had in December - I would not have dared to take the car out in those conditions with the old tyres on. Michelins mght be better, but I don't think I would be able to tell the difference so I don't think I could have justified the extra cost.
  18. Now that's what I call parking.

    My Beauty!

I've been keeping an eye out for you, but not spotted the car so far (I'm in Larbert). Have you had it under cover during this bad weather? Edit - spotted today (21 Feb 10) in Stirling Road, Larbert.
  20. Round here, I've also seen quite a few drivers having awful problems with their RWD BMWs. A combination of RWD and bad driving usually ends up in the car getting stuck or abandoned. Can't raise much sympathy for beamer drivers, though.
