  3. Absolutely!!!! What a brilliant restoration. How much dismantling and re-assembly was needed to transform the engine bay?
  4. Beautifully put. As i've said before, we are all entitled to our own opinions, and as adults respect those of others. So in this case the site doesnt suit, and fair dues. There aint much in life that gives you something for nothing, but 350z-uk does with the discounts available to us. Keep up the good work gents! I go along with everything said here. This is a useful and at times very amusing site.
  5. in Bonnybridge this morning, opposite the football park. Reg **** VRN. Was that you, Vern?
  6. I received mine today from Tim and I am very pleased with it. It fits well, looks just like the Nissan version and the price is very competitive.
  7. I'm now scared to try anything else. Would it be worth getting Chipsaway or similar to look at it?

    Nismo replica kits

Not really, except that when I bought my car from the importers, Mackay Trading in Edinburgh, they said that they could get seats trimmed in leather as a £500 option. I saw the results and thought they looked good, but couldn't stretch the budget that far at the time. I'm still thinking about it as a future option. Hope this helps. Jim
  9. Nice thought, Rob, but I don't think that's the answer. The car has been very thoroughly polished and there is a very good surface all over it. The photo doesn't really show it well, but it would appear that I have removed the gloss lacquer layer and have cut down to the underlyng base coat of the Gunmetal finish. Lesson learned the hard way!

    Nismo replica kits

don't know where you'd find the kits as i'm v new to the 350Z world - but i DO know of a good body shop in Edinburgh if you are still looking for one. I used them for my RX8 when i had it and got the Mazdaspeed kit and US spoiler added - they did a totally top job and i would highly reccomend. The are seafieldcoachworks.co.uk Don't be put off by their 'custom cars' section as the guys who have done a couple of their own cars have NO TASTE what so ever - but the quality of work and care is totally top notch ! hope this helps .... Good to know. Do you think they would be good for minor respray jobs as well?
  11. Don't want to alarm you any more than necessary, but this is what happened when I tried to rub out a minor scratch using Turtle Wax Scratch remover - I'm really pi**ed off and I reckon it will be difficult to repair without a respray of the panel.
  12. That's more like it - TDI seem to want about £60 more for the same thing. I can't afford to go for this just now, Chris, (family wedding coming soon ) but it's on my list and I'll be in touch when things blow over.
  13. Assuming Joe has got rid of the delimiter, does anybody know where else these can be sourced? And is there a guide to fitting them? Apologies if I'm going over old ground - I seem to remember a thread covering this some months ago but can't find it at the moment.
  14. Very tiresome changing gear Get a tiptronic - does it for you and its ultra smooth, plus you can take over when you need to. why do they have sport mode??? It holds the car in lower gear for longer before allowing it to change up. Good if you are doing a lot of overtaking on a cross-country B road. Glencoe is great fun for that when it's quiet.

  16. Thanks for the warning. I haven't noticed any problems as yet, but I will take your advice and see if I can prevent that happening. Looks good ATM though.
  17. eh? what??? By sealing do you mean ensuring that it adheres properly? Or did you use wax or some other coating to protect it?
  18. Yeh, when I saw the first picture of the rabbit with the pancake on its head, I did think that was taking nouvelle cuisine a bit too far! By the way, rabbit makes an excellent curry.
  19. I saw 3 police cars today on the M77, and each of them had its own traffic jam behind it - all scared to exceed the 65-67mph they were doing just to annoy the rest of us!
