  1. Are they only available from the US site, or is there a UK supplier? Where is the DIY guide?
  2. You know, I've stopped reading Liam's posts - I just click on them to take another look at the avatar! There should be a law against things like that - it upsets us oldies.
  3. In case this wasn't one of the threads you found, try this - http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1638 Cheers Jim
  4. Travelled from Falkirk to Ayr via Glasgow and back today - not a Z in sight! One of the main reasons I bought the car. Spotted several boxsters and a couple of S2000s, plus a showroon full of new Merc SLKs. They're all ten a penny!
  5. Kenny I am sure others will reply to this fairly quickly, but they will probably agree with me - you can get a similar product from Halfords for a bit less which does a good job. I was a bit sceptical but I am really pleased with the results. Try a search on "chrome grill" or similar and you will pick up the thread which will gve you the details of the actual product.
  6. Thanks lomoto, that confirms what I had been thinking myself. It shouldn't be too difficult to find a suitable cable once I get the console off. I seem to remember there was a thread with instructions on how to do that recently. Cheers.
  7. Sorry - didn't make myself clear. Where is the power supply that you tapped into for this unit? Did you run a cable all the way from the 12v supply behind the seats?
  8. I took my power point fom inside the cubby hole , put a 4 way power point in, as mines a JDM and dont have a power point in the front ,only the one behind armrest at rear..not neat but handy for my Sat Nav as well when fitted Where is the power source in the cubby? Or am I missing something?
  9. It doesn't seem possile to order from that site. Any idea how much this unit costs?
  10. Good man, lomoto - look forward to hearing from you.
  11. you wont catch me paying £40 for a cargo net...its one of the ones I had for sale (sold quite a few on Ebay and to some members on here ) How much were they? Any idea whether you can still get them or not?
  12. I think others have commented on this before, but I have to say that I was bowled over by the quality of the imported cars - they had a couple of others in when I chose mine and they were all in immaculate condition and had covered low mileages. There were no marks and very few stone chips on them all. This was in marked contrast to a couple of UK models (younger) which I had looked at in various dealers before going the import route. My other consideration was that I wanted the tiptronic box, so it had to be an import anyway. All the best with the hunt
  13. That would be me, buds. Bought mine from them in March and I have been pleased with their service. They weren't as competitive for price as some of the importers down south, but they delivered all that they promised, including a spare key at their own expense (the car arrived in the UK with only one). Nissan keys are very expensive. I could have saved £1000 if I had committed to buying the car before it arrived in the UK, but I decided to wait and test it before buying. I thought it was worth the peace of mind. I had a recommendation from a friend who had used them before with no problems. The same friend put me off another importer in Dunblane with a few horror stories. Hope this is helpful
  14. Welcome to the forum, buds. There are only a few of us up here in Scotland, but to be honest I quite like the fact that you rarely see a Z on the road. I didn't buy a car to be the same as thousands of other drivers. Exclusivity Jim
  15. Wasted half an hour this afternoon trying to locate the speaker - it's in the dashboard somewhere, probably behind the instrument binnacle above the steering wheel. I give up.
  16. yep indentical Jim That's good news. Cheers
  17. If I can work out where the speaker is located I'll try tracing the cable back. Sounds like a job for Sunday.
  18. Seriously, Ming, I'll be keen to hear how it goes, especially if some kind person can tell me how to get rid of the f***ing "BEEP" Jim (I'll get over it eventually)
  19. Left out!!?? Consider yourself lucky - it drives me nuts. I usually know when i am reversing so I don't need a "beeper" to tell me!
  20. Don't know for definite,,, but i'd say so Thanks Liam. Maybe give it a go then.
  21. my sat nav doesnt need the extra aerial Works spot on Did you get the Tom Tom Go 700 model?
  22. Is the installation the same for JDM models?
  23. I mentioned the Tom Tom solution earlier in this thread. Can anyone confirm that they work fine in the cubby? I notice that Tom Tom sell an aerial which they say helps boost the signal in cars with heated screens etc. Is this needed in the Z?
