Hi, from an old newbie lots + lots of pics
Ebized replied to Carbon Coops's topic in Introductions & Welcome Messages
no, that must be the number of years he's owned them, if not he better share the insurance company details cos that's one impressive list of motors for one so young And the ZED looks good too - daren't ask to him list the mods as it looks like that could be a long list too Tally ho.....must fly -
Chris Is it possible to delete a page of "view unread posts" at a time?. I tend to scroll down and pass over those that I feel I do not want to open. A page at time deletion option would be particularly helpful when you have not logged on for a while and come back to umpteen new pages of posts (and given what you have said about the increasing number of posts) which time if nothing else, will preclude opening them all? Now we have the "view new posts" option that is always a back-up to opening something that might be othwerwise accidentally deleted aside from the search option to find things. Hope that makes sense Colin

Don't get excited about Chester guys as there will be a new start/finish venue with the emphasis will be on using some great driving roads in scenic areas of Wales - this old clip of VBH getting all excited over the last generation 350Z might give you some clues So keep the 10th/11th October weekend free if you fancy a similar 'test' in your ZED

For anyone who missed it on TV, you've not missed much other than finding out about the state of the Reims circuit in France , but here you go: http://fwd.five.tv/videos/nissan-370z

Not sure if you if you have seen both this thread, in case it helps viewtopic.php?f=10&t=5795&hilit=headlight+fuses&start=15 See the outcome on the second page - maybe your issue too? It does seem the fuse box is the one behind the battery compartment does that mean there are 3 fuse boxes in the engine bay? i checked the first one you can see, and the one to the side of the battery (have to remove the plastics to see it), is there another behind the battery? as for issues and what it isn't changed the bulb - still not working - so not the bulb changed the hid and ballast - still not working - so not the HID and ballast next guess is a fuse, but i can't seem to find them all. nothig is marked as headlight only, i've seen headlight washer but no headlight. Does seem full info on fuse locations in the ZED is not easy to find, but there appear to be three boxes - the two about the battery compartment and the one in the drivers footwell, that you have found. Unfortunately having spent an hour or so trying to identify the which fuse(s) deal with the headlights is like lookking for the proverbial needle in a haystack But I did come across this thread viewtopic.php?f=27&t=19254&hilit=fuse+boxes - maybe your problem too - see result at the end and pouring over the various search results that does seem to suggest that water/condensation issue problems causing headlights to sometimes work and sometimes, is not uncommon

+1 - great pics -thanks for sharing this with us. Amazing to see the snow still that deep mid-year. An outline of the roads you used would be helpful for those of us lurking around doing a similar trip Hope you might also like to join us on the Scottish (September) or Welsh (October) runs this year

Understanable, but on the other hand we know they can be peddled along quite quickly after Karen and Ricky had to bring theirs to the Hoon drive out last year at the last minute after a truck had run over the front end of their ZED on starting out on their journey north. Welcome to the forum and be prepared for a real driving treat when you get a ZED

interesting that you should mention water............................

Takes a deep breath....... I'm not sure, providing a full hands-free system as provided in the UK ZED coupes is used, that should be classed in the same category. We have all seen drivers concentrating more on, for example, chatting to passengers in the car than their driving, or turning round to see why little Johnny is crying in the back let alone with their head cranked over to hold the phone on their shoulder and even texting one-handed on the move. But lets face it, there are a hundred and one things out there to distract us when driving - the issue is surely more about the concentration factor and I would hope that the reason why we are petrolheads following this forum is that we enjoy our driving and take pride in it rather than those who have cars simply for getting from A to B. There are some so-called 'driver's' I know who I would do my utmost to avoid being a passenger with them as having experienced their driving ability once was enough to put me off for life, even at 10mph. On the other hand it is real pleasure to be driven by someone who you can immediately tell is a 100% in control, aware and considerate to other road users, no matter what the speed. Personally, I do not dial numbers on the move that I have not progammed into "Miss Pardon" and mainly have the phone on to receive calls (these days not being up-to-date in the communications department quickly means lost business). So whilst I can understand the rant by mbs, and I am not attempting to make excuses for the woman concerned and not knowing any of the details, I would suspect that the accident was more to do with the driver failing (or being unable) to adequately concentrate on the driving side of things, making her accident prone. If properly using a hands-free phone system was considered to be unduly hazardous then no doubt a law would be effected to stop its use, but then perhaps other laws would be sought to stop smoking, using audio/ICE or even talking to passengers whilst driving. I think we have to put things into perspective. Oh and getting back to answer the original post question here is my phone location in a Brodit holder that clips onto the trim joints without any holes or glue having to be used (the o2 Orbit phone also has co-pilot sat nav that does enough for me when I need it).

My parents had a Triumph Dolomite which went very well and then bought the sprint in yellow with a black vinal roof and boy did that go. My mum used to get in the slow lane and undertake people as the lights changed to green, sooo funny. Snap! Dug out some old 35mm pics (or might have been taken on box brownie ) - and includes one of the yellow Dolly Sprint I had at one time - a quick 2lt car in its day - me using it at a grass Autotest and had it on two wheels several times handbraking it round the cones The other pic is of my first Golf GTi (a Mk1 4-speed taken on MOD land near Aldershot) and a standard spec Singer Chamiois Sport at a Sprint at Goodwood and a Trial at some farm in Surrey. Used to tow that on an 'A'-frame behind a later GTi so I could compete in both cars Pics also also show the Beetles I had. The little one of me standing next to my very first one - a 1956 oval with a 1600 porsche engine rescued from a breakers and used for rallycross before I bought it. (Yes, I had hair then at 20 ) I then then got a 1957 Dub and dumped the 1200 engine for a 1500 one, but had it fairly heavily modified including twin Minnow-Fish twin carbs and very loud exhaust that I used in trials, autotests, and events that were the pre-runner of rally stages but then without navigators, crash-hats and rules........ The other pics are me navigating in the Moskvich at stages event in the NE (that car/driver had previously taken part in a RAC rally of GB and I got roped into the 'works' servicing team by a friend). The bottom pic is on a Welsh rally event - a Ford 1600E that had just had TJ fuel injection fitted (one of the first such installtions in the UK - and it was quick - when it held together!). Always remember after we finished that event in the early hours we got back from the Brecon area to Central London in about 2 hours - that was when there where no speed limits on the motorways and we crusied the M4 at 130mph+ So there you go Stan - we all have history that looking back does bring some great memories back
