  1. Welcome to the forum Is there a prize or reward for recruiting him? Sure is....... just apply to any of the Mods and they will send a new replacement flyer, (you might even get more than one!) compliments of 350Z-UK
  2. I think you may be onto something then Nah, shes not that good, I just want to see her beat Louis! Better get her into more training, she hasnt quite mastered heel toe just yet Careful after saying that, she just might stamp her heel on your toe
  3. Welcome to the forum and back to ZED ownership - they do get addictive - on the second one myself. Obviously a man who likes to look forward noting the anticipation in your sig
  4. Thanks Chris - me, I'll drive all day in the ZED given the chance, but it is more important the journey up and back is as comfortable as possible for June before I throw her around in the Highlands And also having another offer for an overnighter with members a bit further south -I'm feeling quite emotional about what a great forum this is Decisions to make - June where are you (gone shopping again )
  5. That sounds a good outcome and even better if you had a protected no claims bonus so as not to affect your next insurance renewal
  6. Most of us have those moments, as I did recently - this link might help to post up a quick pic or two which is good alternative to using photobucket or similar for bulk posting viewtopic.php?f=7&t=23129 Follow what Chesterfield says and that should crack it.
  7. Found this excellent 'sticky' that toffeeman produced - makes it all so clear to us laymen. viewtopic.php?f=35&t=15928&hilit=axle The thread also contains the relevant TSB (ignore the years quoted) which makes it clear parts should be replaced. As ZMANALEX says the grease option, if it works, is only a temp fix http://www.350z-tech.com/zwiki/TSB_04-0 ... _Rear_Axle Hope this helps your understanding R800NER and if necessary can be quoted to the service manager as to what should be done, hopefully at minimal cost to you
  8. You really need to ask that - after the love of your life you found in Wales (we've seen the pictures to prove) will be devastated you asked
  9. We better not go into that Mustn't get into dirty talk on this thread - or the boys in green will be onto us
  10. Do you have reserve list if Cara declines And before you say it, I'm already spoken for
  11. dawdler
  12. There is one big advantage of driving at night in Scotland - the moving sheds will have pulled over although the rutting season brings out a new challenge, as Andrew will testify from lasts years drive back from the Hoon to FA
  13. Yeah, but in the real world how often is that going to happen - the main thing is how good is the torque for everyday driving. One thing we all know on here is that the 350's are an absolute dream of a driving machine (for the money) and lets hope the 370 can better it
  14. Welcome to the forum - nice to see another new SE member
  15. Hope you have a wheelie good birthday Mart - stick to 276 horses (+ what your piggy is adding ), far better odds for :teeth:'s than relying on a single one to make your day. Didn't realise you were so young at 52
  16. see - not all my ideas are wind-ups Glad it seems to be sorted Lucy
  17. Hi Bexs - thanks for starting this thread and yes June & I will want an overnight stop and had reckoned somewhere about Carlisle area would be good for us on the Tuesday night. From Surrey, with a meal and comfort stops, will take us about 6-7 hours, an hour and half of which is just getting to the M40 from where we live Be really nice to convoy at least on the Wednesday, if not the Tuesday pm as well And Andrew, fraid Scotland will have to put up with us after the Sunday run as we are looking to to do the Ullapool and beyond runs then
  18. Yes it was fine and the owner was a top bloke, but it did mean you needed to get in the car to get anywhere. June I struck lucky, at Ricky's & Karen's expense, by having a lift into FA in his Civic after he had to abandon the ZED when the lorry ran over it . As we are staying 5 nights this time we certainly weren't about chancing on the misfortune of others for a lift again to socialize in the evenings and as June does not want to drive the ZED, blowed if I am going teatotal for our stay
  19. Don't think he had much choice though Colin, it was either that or nothing And to be fair i dont think many other teams would have taken him on either, because lets face it and through probably no fault of his own he was not at the time regarded as a top flight driver. Its only now that he as a decent car that he now looks good. But be honest i bet the current top 10 drivers in F1 at the moment would look good driving a Brawn Maybe, maybe not - he's got the beating of Rubens and bear in mind what Ross Brawn and Jenson's dad are saying - that he continues to surprise them just how good he is. One thing that Jenson is not so good at, is banging his own drum - a welcome 'fault' given the likes of most the other drivers who look to blame anyone and anything, other than themselves.
  20. Can opener More seriously, I presume you have tried both the drivers and passengers switches, otherwise
  21. I notice you had new disc and pads all round. It might be worth checking whether high melting point grease was used behind the pads in the calipers as on my previous 2004 ZED, I experienced a clicking noise from the rear and having just heard about the clicking axle issue I got a bit paranoid and took it back to the supplying dealer (non-Nissan). Upon checking they found it was the (rear) pads that were sticking and causing a clicking noise and as soon as the grease was applied the clicking noise disappeared and I never heard it again afterwards. Just a thought........... But whatever the problem is in your case you should go back - take them out in the car so they know what you are on about and make it clear the noise was not there beforehand. As you had the P3 done by a Nissan dealer they will be well aware from the techincal bulletins of the clicking axle issue. The 'greasing and turning 'fix' is not a permanent solution BTW, so bear that in mind if that is what is offered and you intend keeping the car sometime. But have you checked all the links in ZMANALEX's posts (see above) as they will give you much more informed advice and if you have any queries I am sure Alex will advise.
  22. Now there's an idea if we could view the GP from such a great vantage point (not the kipping on the floor bit ) - a ZED convoy to Monaco, or wherever we can leave the cars safely, and bus it in for practice/the race. Opps, sorry to hijack the thread but having admired your great pics thought if you don't ask you don't get
  23. I suggest you pm ZMANALEX, although he is regularly on here he also finds time for regular visits to Knockhill to exercise his 600bhp ZED
  24. This link might help you viewtopic.php?f=10&t=21691&hilit=clicking+axle
  25. And what with taking a substantial pay cut that shows what a decent guy he his , compared to many of his peers, some of whom are only interested in No.1
