  1. There is even a forum dedicated to these fakes http://www.dnaoc.co.uk/index.php?topic=1328.0
  2. Jeeez, dosen't that guy and his Neeeson S flow really put you off and yes the front end design is a shocker. Traits of so many electric vehicles they forget about good styling, you could be forgiven for thinking it is being done deliberately by manufacturers and they are just going through the motions, to then argue that there is not sufficient interest to really encourage electic (or other alternative fuel) development as the bean counters have decided profit levels willl be hit too hard
  3. Looking very tidy Adrian - you are certainly not hanging about. Surprised you have kept the original rear lights and not gone for the 06+ LED replacements? And looking at your pics - especially the one on your drive, it never ceases to amaze me just how the panel colours on ZEDs can vary - we all know the petrol filler cover is prone to looking wrong and in that pic it really does, but then looking at the later pics it is either matching well or verging on a darker shade - quite bizarre Nice to see one of your Wales raffle prizes being put to good use - courtesy of ChilliRed Good thread BTW
  4. I do like the keyless entry/lock (doors and rear hatch) and start button on the 370 - a great improvement over the seventies style key issued with the 350's Just wish we also had the remote window opening as they get acros the pond, but which Nissan say can't be done here
  5. If it gets to 124mph in 10.9 secs, the 0-60 time should be special, Side outlets for the exhausts Just the replacement for the other 'alfs Jazz
  6. Holy thread revival If you want a push start button buy a 370
  7. Colin you just need a lighter clipboard, maybe a carbon fibre one? I can make you one if you want, for a price...... From one of the RB's wings.................prefer off Marks car if poss given my Oz connections
  8. On the flip side, one thing you might wish to consider if money is tight is to look at the runing costs. New homes these days are likely to be more economical to run (gas/electric/water) than older properties. Also, and unless you are keen DIY person, an older property can be a bigger drain on the money - look at how the house is constructed has it used materials that are going to require regular maintenance, unlike say a brick & tile house with upvc windows and doors. That is what June I bought having got together with very little money some 20 years having both come out of previous relationships with little money but fortunately our new build pile (bought off plan and modified as it was being built to suit our spec - advantages of being associated with the building industry) has saved us a lot of money since, compared to friends who bought older properties and yes, with lovely character, but have cost them all the spare money they have. Depends what your priorities are at the end of the day. did you had a full survey? if so are they not liable for not picking up on it might be worth lookin into, tis my older bro's house (he lives in australia) so will have to get him to look into the documents If the Surveyor missed something then you should be able to claim against his professional indemnity, but there might be a time restriction
  9. Just reflecting on the Monaco race. Shame the red flag was necessary - it was building up to a great 3-way battle for the last 5 laps Seems most were on the backfoot when the race was stopped in terms of the Regs. Does seem very strange that in theory you could rebuild a car in those conditions and parc ferme does not apply and as soon as the teams decided they could change the tyres that gifted the race to Vettel. The first tyre change debacle at the Red Bull garage, when it was subsequently hinted Vettel had been given the wrong tyres (not the red ringed ones) and if that was the case, played into his favour at the end. And yet again Webber came off second best in the service he received, but another climb back and missing the carnage was to be admired. Hamilton will have more to bleat about when Massa and Maldonado in due course give as good as they were given. To suggest Massa turned in on him when Massa was already committed to full lock at the hairpin, without backing off and moving over, is ridiculous and if Hamilton had made the same decision as Alonso did on the first lap when he saw there was not room at the first corner to get past Button, Maldonado would not be out of the race. I'm sorry but as much as Hamilton can be a good racer he is has demonstrated all too often that he is impatient and now his mouth is letting him down big time with the stupid outburst post the race. But otherwise the these Pirelli Tyres have certainly made F1 much more exciting, and I suspect in the next few races both McLaren and Ferrari will be on a par with the RBs.
  10. and lowering +1 & 1 Sarnie will be quite annoyed others have got in before him with his catch phrase
  11. You ought to put a poll up Ricey edit: voted
  12. Cos it takes me 5 minutes to cross the road out of the car But in the car things are different
  13. Thought I'd would watch this with friends at their place, although they are not footie fans either, looking for some entertainment. Well not being up with who plays for who (yes I do know of Rooney and Riggs and they play for MU and I hear they play around elsewhere ), but less that half MU seemed to have 'English' players and frankly if it wasn't for the kits and we hadn't been watching the screen we wouldn't of known which player was on which side by just the names although in our ignorance it would appear Barcelona had a higher proportion of their own nationality? Whatever, clearly the best team won and it just seemed Barcelona with their skills could use 4 or 5 players to drive most of MU back into their own half, keeping ball possession which was a joy to watch, and then pounce with the MU goalie's views often restricted by the mass of his own players. It was interesting to see Fergi's resignation during the second half that his team was clearly outplayed at least he had the decency to admit that at the end. Now looking forward to watching something I do understand a lot better - the Monaco Gran Prix
  14. Welcome to the forum and to help your dilemma I would get along to a dealer that has one for sale and go a test drive, even if that particular car is not one you would buy. That will help to appreciate the driving experience - quite different to the Alfa but has its own characteristics that made it one of THE sports cars to have and received such good press from road testers whose knowledge can be relied upon. That is how I bought my first ZED and I'm now on my third - and why we see ex-owners returning to ZED ownership after trying something else and realising they were missing something special. Then spend time looking for the right ZED, if you like the way it drives, and shouting help on here you may find a member locally to that one you may be interested to have a look Good luck
  15. are you sure - oh alright then
  16. Having offered the name badges you sent me to the first half or dozen or so who rejected them I gave up trying The problem is that they stick once but then when you change clothes they don't. So OK for one day with no clothe change but not so practical otherwise..... So I think we need to think of safety pin holders or sashes, or hats with names on, or forehead tats...... But everyone who turned up at Moreton did get one of these and most used them (With their own user/real name:teeth:) The car park always had other cars there - some didn't move for the weekend, so I doubt we would achieve 100% ZED only parking, but will give a try next time if the friendly manager is still there
  17. I think we can safely see that is the 313 model as from the interior pic we can see it has the illuminated disc around the ignition key slot, as well as the bulge bonnet. But best reassurance is when you lift the bonnet that it looks like this - have a lok at the pics Stew has posted on this thread - yours should be the one with the twin intakes viewtopic.php?f=9&t=39113&hilit=model+difference
  18. To be honest I had bought some rope with me to see if we could form our own section of the car park and also cordon off the area we had been given to use for the remote control cars some said they were bringing........ In the end neither happened but hopefully next year if the consensus is we use Moreton again
  19. I thought that last one was spot on for ChrisS
  20. That made June and me laugh out loud - very good Any more
