  1. With the type I had on my previous ZED you could pull each sensor out in turn and disconnect from the main wiring to to the control box to establish which sensor was not working - so trying that on the basis one may be faulty should establish if it those or the problem lies in the control box. When I reached that point it was case of opting for a complete new system, but I then traded in the car so I left that issue for the garage to sort out
  2. Welcome and I presume your heading means you have seen a few birthdays pass you by - as many of us have on here

    My Le Mans efforts!

Thats great Nice to see you have the 350z-uk sticker on the 'right' side for those that may try to overtake on the trip through France
  4. Tesco 99 momentum for me whenever I can, otherwise Shell V power. I do have a map that allows for 95ron should it be necessary though
  5. First thing is to try is to give the sensors a good clean
  6. Don't worry about it - quite normal. As you will have seen the 'splash guards' which are supposedly there for aerodynamic reasons, are quite flexible and I often find on adverse camber corners they will catch the surface. No lasting damage so all's OK Yes I have caught the black front lip where it drops lower each side on some of the more aggressive humps on a few occasions but a little work with a file and emery paper soon sorts out any scuffing on that more rigid piece.
  7. If you are hearing it in reverse and it is a "knocking" noise I would be inclined to suspect the exhaust. If it is more of "clicking" then almost certainly it is the clicky axle issue (very common and lots of info on here if you do a search) and for which there is an easy (short term) grease fix, or much better you get the replacement parts - not a lot of money and will be a permanent fix
  8. I love this one http://youtu.be/_n14MBAd3R8
  9. Have a good one Chris - although you are looking older than your years: at least you have the paperwork to prove you are younger than me
  10. Hi Colin Thats exactly what Toyota have it down as I wondered if Japanese car manufacturers used a generic coding:) many thanks for getting back to me and everyone else. You have as always been a great help and when I eventually get sorted with a car that I can call my own be it a 350 or 370 maybe we can join up at a meet and I will stand you guys a beer. Suddenly 1000 members carry me over to the beer tent:) What the hell I cant take it with me. Do they have meets in the Kingston Croydon area? Peter As I have been on this forum nearly 6 years only pleased to share info I have gleaned (and can remmeber ), over the years. Safe to say you are certainly a SE member and we have our moments, and only yesterday for example: viewtopic.php?f=93&t=50253 and viewtopic.php?f=93&t=46773&start=75 another meet location: viewtopic.php?f=93&t=48304&hilit=grasshopper&start=75 So just keep your eyes peeled for the next and if you are around Epsom way you can stand me that drink
  11. My thoughts exactly. But mind you, my missus never ever test drives her cars when she buys them, shes too embaressed in case she stalls them. So i have to test drive them for her. Welcome to the 350z club! you`ll have loads of fun! +1 to all that I wish I could remember that feeling, its so many years ago I can't remember now
  12. I have been advised, on good authority, it is "Probably perhaps a front O2 sensor fault relating to an unstable voltage issue."
  13. Welcome to the forum and of course you have chosen a the best colour for a 370 Interesting to see the different specs and I do like the gloss black roof Just one thing is bothering me - hope you don't mind me asking. The side stripes on both sides stop short of the front wings, and I am wondering why. We don't have that stripe option on the Peral whites here, but this is a pic of the 370's which did have the stripes so you can see what I mean:

  15. Welcome to the forum and 370 ownership Here are some of our Scottish members viewtopic.php?f=84&t=31687&hilit=members&start=150
  16. Remember, you have got a bad back
  17. To reassure you, that damage can be repaired quite easily - just make sure you have it done by a good specialist. I had damaged mine on my previous ZED in 2008 - not as bad as yours but here is the result of the repair work I had done and all 4 wheels matched and they looked just as good as when I traded in the 350 in December 2009 viewtopic.php?f=61&t=13182&hilit=Kerbed+Rays
  18. Always knew you had the boy-racer in you when you weren't train spotting
  19. Thread locked as wheels sold
  20. There is even a forum dedicated to these fakes http://www.dnaoc.co.uk/index.php?topic=1328.0
  21. Jeeez, dosen't that guy and his Neeeson S flow really put you off and yes the front end design is a shocker. Traits of so many electric vehicles they forget about good styling, you could be forgiven for thinking it is being done deliberately by manufacturers and they are just going through the motions, to then argue that there is not sufficient interest to really encourage electic (or other alternative fuel) development as the bean counters have decided profit levels willl be hit too hard
  22. Looking very tidy Adrian - you are certainly not hanging about. Surprised you have kept the original rear lights and not gone for the 06+ LED replacements? And looking at your pics - especially the one on your drive, it never ceases to amaze me just how the panel colours on ZEDs can vary - we all know the petrol filler cover is prone to looking wrong and in that pic it really does, but then looking at the later pics it is either matching well or verging on a darker shade - quite bizarre Nice to see one of your Wales raffle prizes being put to good use - courtesy of ChilliRed Good thread BTW
  23. I do like the keyless entry/lock (doors and rear hatch) and start button on the 370 - a great improvement over the seventies style key issued with the 350's Just wish we also had the remote window opening as they get acros the pond, but which Nissan say can't be done here
