  1. The 'beast' just shook it off
  2. More likely your battery, I would have thought - if you are a member of a breakdown outfit just call them out, but no doubt they are busy today .
  3. Cue, the ZED SHED
  4. Doubt Mercedes will do any good next year as all their development continues to focus on the 2014 Regs and that is the reason why Lewis decided his future was best served there and grabbed the opportunity when he did rather than be left hoping a seat was available later this year. Any update on what (new) engines McLaren will be using in 2014? http://www.f1-fansit...ther-f1-engine/ http://en.espnf1.com...tory/86012.html
  5. I'm amazed anyone still used BB. As for Clinton Cards they are way overpriced - in Epsom last year they moved shops in the same Centre just a few doors along from a another card shop that sells ones as good for generally less than a third to half the price of Clintons. No guessing what was the by far the busiest one of the two in the run-up to Christmas. But then postage costs will kill off card shops anyway aside from the internet/email etc options
  6. Just hope for once it is for you - fingers crossed.
  7. Sub-sections, under the Technical & Modifications headings (like the 350 section) have been added and threads moved to help search functions. Not expecting I've got everything in the right area and some topics like wheels not only include aftermarket options but also threads relating to refurbs of the OEM wheels - it just seemed logical to put them together. I expect in due course headings will need to get more refined. Let me know if you find any misplaced threads. I have included members threads dealing with modifications to their 370's under the 'Member build projects' where I have spotted multiple mods etc taking place. They can be grouped together if the member concerned wishes.
  8. Yep - I'm well and truly a member of the ton-up club with my guzzling 370
  9. Breaking News: Traces of zebras found in Tesco barcodes
  10. ? Rather than self-healing paint as on the 370's?
  11. Great minds think alike Kev Yesterday I posted up some info on the fuse pull to help the latest members who are having problems: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/66701-car-wont-start/ There is a large photo on that thread that pinpoints the fuse concerned Maybe I should do it too on my 2009 370
  12. If it is the problem suggested, try and get the Dealer to at least get a 'goodwill' gesture from Nissan UK. Again, if it is the problem suggested above make the point that it is aknow fault on the 370 forums and given your limited mileage it seems a recall should have have been issued. But no TSB or recall ......so far. I had (another) search around on the US forums to see if there were any updates given they seem to have had a greater number of failures than over here. Pulling the fuse that controls the steering lock unit is a preventative measure and seemingly has no adverse effect other than the steering lock does not work, which may be an issue for some.... NOTE: THE FOLLOWING IN BLUE IS LIFTED FROM OTHER FORUM POSTS SIMPLY TO HOPEFULLY HELP MEMBERS ON HERE. A picture of the fuse that matters (the fuse box is next to the battery): You have to pull the fuse after you get the SLU to let the car go to ON or ACC. If the SLU is not making the microswitches properly, it does no good to pull the fuse. If, like the OP, your lock try wiggle shaking and banging the crap out of it to jar it loose first. Blow a heat gun/hairdryer on it if its cold etc. You only need it to disengage one last time. Some have luck tapping it with a little hard object like a SMALL hammer or screwdriver. My understanding from reading various threads over the pond is that over-lube inside causes failure of some plastic bits and the little gear teeth fail then get hung up. Tapping might get it one last time, then once its unlocked you can pull the fuse and save a lot of money and a wasted day or two. Sadly, replacement SLU's have also be known to fail! But I really do feel that Nissan should be replacing a unit that is an inherent part of the car's security, even if there are no known failures (on the move) that have raised safety concerns.

This popped up - one I haven't seen before Although you get the ZEE instead of ZED its quite a well-balanced review IMO.
  14. As Keyser is suggesting - send Alex a pm and he will send you prices etc
  15. Now why would you have safe search off I never have it on to be honest That's what you said about your traction control - opps no, you said you never had it switched off
  16. Welcome to the forum and sorry to hear what has happened to your ZED. is you best bet
  17. Now why would you have safe search off
  18. Very interesting - 22 year old starts the business and a 24 year old is the test driver. Not many shiny bits to polish on those Brasso
  19. This one? http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/66032-jdm-jobd-code-reader-update/
  20. Good to hear - let's hope that good news continues
  21. Moved here as you are part of MeisterR
  22. Here is the procedure (if you have not already got it) http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/110-guide-ecu-reset/
  23. Sounds to good to be true (as they say).................but perhaps on this occasion it is. Very, very few Nissan dealers have bodyshops in-house - it just gets contracted out to an 'approved' bodyshop so that the Nissan warranty is not in question, but given the age of your car and if it were me I wouldn't be worried about that - more important is to ensure the work is done to a standard acceptable to you.
  24. A very nice example indeed and excellent introduction. I see you have the 'facelift' (2006+ models) bi-xenon projector headlamps along with many other tasteful mods. Hope you did not run over your phone though
