  1. the branch in ipswich were determined not to sell me a car, the first test drive i got was down a busy road at 20 mph and 1 junction on the a12 at rush hour. it actually put me off the car. second test drive was with a spotty kid whos car knowledge was limited. and then when it came to buying the manager wouldn't come out of his office to talk to me so the sales kid was going back and fourth. and they both tried to sell me a car for £4k over what it should hahve been priced at. like it was said above, nissan is very hit miss and maybe, try another stealership.
  2. i really like it looks good
  3. agreed, i looked at it too, but thought they were taking the mick at that price. yes the price of new has gone up, but that doesn't mean that the second hand price goes up.
  4. think it was usede, but not for very long, hence why they were charging so much for it.
  5. there was one for sale on here recently for around £650, and i don't think it sold. you'll have to search for it, but it may still be available.
  6. Pm Sent why do you have to sell things, my bank account is running low
  7. when my mr2 went in for repairs aftar an accident it needed a new floor pan. they ordered it from japan, it arrived but had been damaged, they had to send it back, ordered a new one, had to come from japann, it arrived damaged as well, they ended up ordering a 3rd floor pan. then they did the work. in total they had my car for 3 and a hlaf months. and i think alot of it was them fobbing me off. hope you don't have to wait that long mate.
  8. looks good and it comes with red bits on which would fit perfectly with my engine bay, how did you fit it at the front? whats it connected to? and how much would you want for it? am quite interested.
  9. any pics of it fitted?
  10. would it work with the k&n typhoon?
  11. Have just been browsing ebay, and found a load of oil catch cans for the 350z (think they were universal) all going for around £30 inc p+p but they were all from the US. is there much difference between a universal one and big name brand ones that cost over £100. also CS do you have any guide prices on the ones you have in stock,
  12. i think that should be it, from what it sounds like its the laquer that ends up with a dimply effect as there isn't enough of it down to spread out and create a solid finish.
  13. i did say ages ago that glyn hopkins wasn't a dealership i want to deal with, this just reinforces my point. i'm going to marshalls in bury st edmunds to hopefully have some out of warranty, warranty work done. and already just by dealing with them over the phone they've done a better job than glyn hopkins by being polite and helpful.
  14. if you sand after laquering it will dull the surface, and you would need to polish it up. the lawuer should be the fianl coat. it might be surface prep. if its the engine cover your painting, did you sand it down properly before hand, i used an orbital first to smooth the plastic down and remove the rough finish. and then sand between coats.
  15. i do like the tommy k badge, looks really nice.
  16. if your laquer is orange peeling, its becaue you are moving too quickly with the can, its a bit of an art form ,but with a bit of practice you can get quite good at it. go too slow and you'll get runs. i tend to start at the top and work across in lines, nice and steady. do the edges last, but becareful with them, because by then you'll be adding to the laquer on the top and you'll most likly get runs. you should be able to see the surface change as you do it. you'll see it orange peel if you go to slow, just go back over it, if its already set, you might be able to use a levelling spray. it reactivates the laquer and helps it level out, but i don't know what the time limit is for using it on set laquer.
  17. i prefer the bottom one, i was thinking about getting one for the rear of my car, but i don't think it would cover the location holes either. think i might have to bite the bullet and buy the tommy k zed badge.
  18. think it might be your laquering technique. i didn't even sand between coats on this one, and still got a smooth finish. if you laquer does it look like the skin of an orange, all dimply and rough?
  19. have spoken to nissan GB and they have passed me on to the dealership first, so i have decided to give marshalls of bury st edmunds a go, have just spoken to them on the phone, they have been very helpful, just got to send them a fax of my service book tomorrow, and will wait to hear what they have to say.
  20. no one have any ideas of a good supplier of these, i can't find one anywhere?
  21. will it clear fault codes as well, or just tell you what it is?
  22. so expensive for a cable, the pioneer equivialnt is half the price. hence why i'm going the pioneer route to match in with the pioneer sat nav i already have.
  23. Call the Customer Service team on - 01923 899334 Alternatively contact by E-mail gb@nissan-services.eu Or by post The Customer Service Team The Rivers Office Park Maple cross Rickmansworth WD39YS Hertfordshire UK Thanks CS for the addresses, i've just noticed the clicking rear axle issue on my car, but i'm just out of warrenty by a month, so i've emailed them to see what they say. i cheekily mentioned that i was a club member in the email, and that i had read alot about the issue already from the forum, and that i didn't want it regreasing. will let everyone know what they say in the end.
  24. my guess is the speakers are wire dup backward somewhere, i vagly remember if on an old headunit setup i had the rear parcel shelf speakers on bullet connectors, if you wired the polarities up backwards you got no sound. try swapping over some of the connectors, possibly the RCA leads in the back of the headunit, or try reversing the ISO connectors
  25. auto dimming units tend to be bulkier and have 2 led lights underneath, normally one is glowing slightly. as for the 350z having them, i've never seen a car with them, but if it was an aftermarket addon i'd be tempted.
