  2. 1. Toyo proxies T1R's 2. Bridgestone re040's 3. Vredestein ultrac ssantas 4. Michelin Pilot Sports 2 5. Pirelli pzero's or bridgestone re050's
  3. i live outside woodbridge and i think that bent waters is the old airbase near me and they do stuff there.
  4. i might be up for this, i think if i'm going i might postpone putting new rubber and trash the leftover tread of my bridgestones on this, and then put fresh shoes on.
  5. i know what you mean its quite addictive as well, by the way can i have some captain brave underpants as well please.
  6. Clean pants for me Jerry i did it 2 round abouts in a row the other night and it nearly made me sh1t myself as well, went way more than i planned and has since shown me that 2-3 mm is not enough tread on bridgestones in the wet. so now i got to fork out the monkies to get new shoes
  7. So first thing is the car :- Nissan 350z, 2007+ model, no more than 30,000 miles, GT pack, Sat Nav, black PRICE:- Around £16,500 -You can get a pre facelift 06 for about £15,000 with less than 20,000 on the clock for £15000, plus the 275 bhp versions are easier to mod and there are more parts available Nismo V1 Body Kit, Sprayed and fitted PRICE:- Around £2,000 - CS sells a GRP replica which is good quality for £600 add another £160 for the spoiler, and i bet you could get it sprayed for about £800 or less depending on location Nismo Exhaust system, and fitted PRICE:- Around £1,200 - The nismo is good but pricey, there are others out there, or you can even go custom, to give you an idea of price i got H & S to quote me on 2 systems - true dual £750 - Single box twin exit - £450 both systems were from the cats back, and you can have any style of tips at the rear and have it sound how ever you like. (Hayward and scott are the biggest and possibly the best custom exhaust fabricators in the country.) Nismo Dual Intake Air FIlter (VQ35HR) PRICE:- £475.00 - If you go for the 276bhp version its a single intake and JWT ones which are probably better are about £120 - or a k and n typhoon system with carbon airbox is about £250 Total Cost:- £ 20.175 - my total spend £17,500, money left to spend £2800 With £2800 you could get: - plenum spacer for around £200 - Reflashed ecu £500 (depends on how RStuning get on with the new software) - Sports cats £500 - custom indash satnav from someone like kenwood with screen in cubby and dvd drives in the rear glovebox £800 (far better than nissans own version) That little lot should bring your BHP up close to what the 313 is, but more importantly it will make a big difference to your tourque levels as BHP i don't think is that important and you'd still have £800 left to spend, for that you could get a new set of tyres (falkens 452 all 4 tyres for ab out £450 and possibly have enough money for new brake pads all round £180 for freodo ds2500, and new discs £280 (i think) for ebc ultimax grooved discs. for that kind of money you'd have a very capable car.

  9. OK Guys heres the update. spent the afternoon with rob had a really good chat, i dropped my car off with him this morning, and by the time i came back he'd removed all badges neccessary and measured up for the project. TIME FRAME: rob is able to do this but its now in show season and he has a backlog of orders he's working on, it will take him roughly 4 weeks to get a prototype together, it might be sooner depending on how things go, but please remember he is a one man operation and these are not just stickers there is a lot of work preparing the images and getting the sizing exactly perfect (he is a perfectionist). but once the prototype has been given the thumbs up i would expect that the real ones should be ready to go out within the week. you'll also be able to see pictures at that point and be able tot make your own mind up on if you like them or not. PROTOTYPE: once he has a prototype made we are going to need a test vehicle, i am unable to drive back up at that time so i'm looking for some one local to walsall who wouldn't mind going over one afternoon for him to test fit and check dimensions are perfect. don't worry if you were going but say only wanted the rear he only needs to hold the others up against it to check fitting. he has said who ever goes over he would come to an arrangement with that person over price for their badge. PRICE: at the moment he hasn't made anything so price is not definate or even confirmed (this sentence cannot be quoted as the exact price) but he has said that they would probably cost about £20 each. i hope this update is adequate, i know some of your were hoping to see instant results but this will take a little time, but i think the results are going to be worth it. any queries or questions feel free to fire away
  10. they look very nice, and the first 4 set available for the zed as far as i'm aware
  11. i was on the m6 today, northbound at 7 this morning, southbound at 7 this evening. but i'm an 06, so i doubt it was me i did see a GM going northbound at on the a14 this evening
  12. i tried tugging mine off a recently, but it was so hard it just wouldn't budge, i'm going to grease it up next time to see if its easier to twist off. i can then fit a new shiney end on it. they last better as everytime you put your hands on it you polish as you grip it. i was going to change my big nissan one for a smaller greddy one, but would be interested to see what your special knob maker produces. and if his knob looks better than the one i plan to get, i might get one of his special knobs. did i get enough inuendos in there

    Tread Depth

must admit I'm on just under 3 mm tread. Took it out in the wet last night so my friends girlfriend could get an idea of what the cars like. It was fishtailing violently off 2 Roundabouts and not I. The controlled sense. And that was with traction control on. Scared myself slighty which isn't easily done. Got back to my mates house and no heat in the tyres what so ever. Stone cold. I could even wheel spin it at 40 if I put my footdown when already moving, and with traction on. Not a good sign. Looks like I need the new tyres now and not at the end of summer. It's made me think twice especially since Reading about Steve.
  14. Did dawnc sell them in the end?
  15. Don't worry mate it arrived Saturday morning just before I left to go on expedition, will pick it up today before I leave for brum

  18. yes it is, one one of my earlier posts i did explain that i wouldn't be going up to birmingham till this monday the 18th. am sorting it all out then, have said several times that nothing is happening till then, and that once he's had my car for the day, taken measuremnts he should also make some up for photos etc. so hopefully when i get back from my confrence on monday night i'll hopefully have some pictures to upload. if i don't have them by monday i'm hoping b the end of the week. is that ok.
  19. best to get the vinyl supplied by the company doing the wrap, they will know what is best for the job. i use a good supplier but their thicknesses may be to big for wrapping.
  20. where abouts can you get them from?
  21. quite possibly but the price of seeing the tape would probably be 6 points and £300 fine
  22. order your tyres online and bring them with you and get a fitter to do it there. easy to get 4 tyres in. camskills are good on price if you want toyo or falkens as is black circles. vredesteins are cheapest from the tyreman and there is someone on here who was quoting good prices on MPS2's
