  1. clear coat will help with durability, and items that small you can bake them in the oven to speed up the process.
  2. i think i said it before but i am 10 days out, talk about a bollox situation i hope they follow their original plan which is all cars after 2001 which would bring the rest of you in line with me
  3. i love your photography skills. great car as well
  4. i'm with O2, been the best broadband supplier i've had to date. my area hasn't been unbundled yet so i only get their home edition but its still been good. and their modem routers have been the easiest and most reliable as well. orange was crap and so was their routers.
  5. happy birthday mate
  6. because the standard wheel setup on the zed is a funny size. most manufacturers don't make that many in that size; as only a few manufacturers use it. where as tyre sizes that are more common have more tyres made for them in a vaster quantity, hence a cheaper price.
  7. i've been looking at the side profile and what i've noticed is that the side of the spoiler is a mirror image of the rear lights, as if they were a relection of each other. very sutle, but quite clever i thought. but i understand what you mean. the rear view is by far the best. and your wheels i love them, and would love to have them but i just cant afford them do you do monthly installments
  8. price is the biggest difference. if you have the cash gets the berks, if you haven't the kinetix are just as good i have kinetix, and am very happy with them
  9. thanks, but i like the rays, they are light weight and when i refurb them in satin black and a red lip they should finish it off. if i'm honest and i had the spare cash i would love new bigger wheels but i can't justify the extra expense this year. so i'm doing the refurb and better tyre route. (probably one of the few parts that will be performance over looks. ) getting a remap in the next 6 weeks hopefully, just waiting on some parts and then i'll ring and book with abbey m/s
  10. it would be nice, but can't justify the cost at the moment. and i'm happy the way it is. i love what nrez did with his and it does look good. but i'm happy for now. maybe a future project done the road. thanks thats what i'm aiming for with the look of my car. i want it to be different but not to far off the scale. kind of a uprated OEM
  11. yep it looks like the swift auto retractable unit. i'm in communication with the bloke at the moment about getting one shipped over. i'm impressed how that one retracts into the grille. i plan to mount mine underneath as to do that i can't see how you'd do it without having to cut the mesh, and it would start to look messy once you do that.
  12. Had this fitted before christmas, but only just got round to taking some pictures, were a bit rushed as the weather was just turning and it was snowing 10 minutes later. but for now these will have to do. As with the body kit i had the work carried out by TEAM AFM they had to repair it first as the base had cracked during transportation. i know its not to everyones taste but i like it. i also know i need to balance out the darkness of the blade around the car. i already have spare door handles ready to paint. and hopefully sometime this year i'll get the wheels refurbed to match as well.
  13. this is how i have mine mounted at the moment didn't get chance t get properly under the car to have a look for a flat spot. if memory serves me right their is a rubber/plastic aero lip that runs underneath the bumper which would be in the way. but that can be easily modified. my plan is if i can't mount it direct to the undertray then i'll fabricate up a bracket for it to mount on to. if someone has a picture of the undereneath of the front of the car it would be helpful
  14. if you have their advert then you have some proof. if your happy with the car and like it, then the only thing left to settle is the difference in price. you need to find an average price for imports of that standard and mileage etc. also take into account that they'll swap the dials round, that isn't cheap, if i remember rightly they are a bit pricey (could be wrong; check with zmanalex or R35LEE) then you'll need to negoatiate the middle ground with them to where you settle. this is all of course if trading standards decide to follow it up and push them to compensate. if they don't your on your own.
  15. camskills were the cheapest i found for tyres both on those and the tyres i use.
  16. i have one, got it 2nd hand from a member, but he got it origianlly from envy.
  17. dont know, i need to go do some measuring
  18. got a reply from them Richard, the bracket attatches to the bottom of the bumper with 4 screws. You need a flat spot around 3" wide by 9" long from the bottom front edge of the bumper. Keep in mind that it will add about 1.5" to the bottom when retracted, so if you are already low, you may scrape. Shipping to the UK is an additional $25. To order, just give me a call at the shop tomorrow and I'll process it over the phone,
  19. as far as i can tell it just sits under the car.
  20. good piece of work, the lathe in my workshop is a piece of crap, it doesn't run true. and the school won't upgrade it as the kids never really use it. its fine for what they do, but not as precise as i want it for anything i do
  21. i enjoyed it, but know what you mean. for me tennant was the dr, am intrigued to see how the new boy gets on.
  22. this is the issue i have, love the exterior, early versions the interior was very questionable don't think the 8's were too bad.
  23. i'm in the same box as shire. i like evos but don't know the model differences etc.
  24. i'd be interested to see pics of the evo, especially inside, know very little about them.
