  1. hmmm offsets seem a little high, i'm sure on the zed they're mena to be mid teens low 20's might need spacers.
  2. when towing kids behind boats at speed i always thought their heads are meant to be under water nice boat though
  3. might have to go and speak to the blokes near me.
  4. no worries, had forgotten who had wanted them
  5. just remembered that quote wasn't for th ezed it was for my old civic
  6. looking forward to seeing the finished article
  7. think i got quoted about £150 for the rear hatch and the 2 tiny windows behind the seats
  8. i think its called a clear coat. never sprayed a matt finish so never used it. might be worth a google. and then try a tester on something old before putting it on what you already sprayed.
  9. without laquer that won't last long, give it one good winter and they look shocking. for matt finishes yuo can get a clear coat to spray on. it protects the paint and gives a harder finish

    Vinyl Costs

    seems a fair price
  11. depends on the insurer, not all do it.
  12. they will up your premium but it might only be about £30 how long you got till renewal, might be worth holding out till then, and then declare them. ring up and ask for a quote to find out what it would cost if you were to add them. then you'll know and can either add them to the policy or keep stum. just keep in mind if the car is not standard and you have an accident then your policy is invalid, and they may not pay out.
  13. they are a good bunch here, very friendly vibe, and everyone is happy to help. think there are something like another 6-10 female members, some post more than others. they are affectionately known as sprinkles on the forum, as they're only a handful of them. look forward to seeing the pics form the big meet,

    TAX!!

i'm with geoff on this they should have stated a starting year, not back date it to get extra revenue.
  15. did you need a steering wheel control cable? or do you not have steering wheel control. the pioneer one is different to the alpine one.
  16. as far as i'm aware there is no kind of speed sensitive steering on the pre facelift
  17. i didn't order an ariel adapter for my JVC is that a pioneer requirement or is it needed for all new headunits. i'm planning on fitting tomorrow but if i'm missing something i might be screwed
  18. i run HFC's and passed MOT ok, it failed the stricter first test, but when left to run for a while it passed the second test so all good If your true dual exhaust, then i'd say HFC's as it would be a pain to change the pipes out every time for MOT. i think abbey said the difference is something like 5bhp at the top end.
  19. Welcome to the club, lots of helpful people here. lots of info worth reading and its advised to sit down for 2 weeks and browse with the search button as most things have been covered before. but i'll get you started off. My first is regarding what i should expect to get for my budget of 15K in terms of spec, year, mileage etc. Ideally I'd be after an 06 plate (cheaper tax bracket, it will have a private plate on it anyway), 296 bhp, gun metal grey, low miles, low owners, orange interia but not too fussed, sat nav, bose etc....is that a realistic spec for 15K? 296 bhp cars are in the new tax bracket, if you want cheaper tax you need to find one registered before april the 20th 2006. to give you an idea i bout mine about 18 months ago for dead on 15k and it was a 2006 with 12k on the clock and full GT pack. for your money you might even be able to get the newer 313 model I'm also keen on getting a grip on servicing costs, i've keep hearing vastly different prices for the P1, P2 and P3....can anyone give me an idea please? my last service was a P3 which is the biggie i spent about £100 on consumables and £220 for the service it's self prices vary around the country general consensus is if its out of warranty take it to a zed specialist and avoid nissan dealerships like the plague. i think P1's are around £100 and P2's are about £150 ish spark will need doing at about 54,000 Are there any big potential maintenence costs beyond basic servicing that i may have missed? I'm after a 3rd car for weekend use so mileage would be kept pretty low but i wondered if there were any inherrant problems that have cropped up. zeds are pretty bullet proof as long as they have been well looked after and serviced regularly, the only expensive maintance cost i've come across is the gear box/clutch have been a few people who've had to put new clutches in after about 30k but the majority last for ages. And finally, just out of curiosity, has there ever been a recorded 0-100 time for each of the 3 engine specs? to date I have only seem the 309bhp quoted at 13.3 (I think) in Evo magazine. there is a thread on here discussing 0-60's but i think it also talked about 0-100's as well, you'll need to search for it as i can;t remember where it is hope that helps
  20. i think your right, mine is a pre facelift so built before 2006 and does not have speed sensitive steering my friend ekona has a facelift 2006 zed and his is a speed sensitive steering car.
