  1. did this yesterday, might be worth noting that the drivers side has 2 bolts in the bottom section unlike the passenger side which only has one. the second bolt on the bottom of the drivers side is an arse to get to and an even bigger arse to put back in. i found in the end the best way was to put the original 2 back in but leave them slightly loose, that way you can move the handle about to get the last one in. also when refitting, there is a long arm on each handle, you'll see it when its off, when re fitting the end of this needs to go in to a little blue holder inside the door. pre warning its not easy to see, a torch will help. if you don't slot the bar into this hole the handle will still go on, but if you shut the door and try to open it, the handle will move like normal, but its not actually attached to the door mechanism so the door won't open. so don't do both at the same time or you'll lock yourself out of the car, or leave the windows wound down as you can then open it with the internal handle
  2. i think it was the idea to try and take the likwid art in a direction that TK didn't which was differnet colours. i love the original TK badge, hence the copy, but my wallet just isn't up for that kind of a beating
  3. thats why i organised the likwid art stuff its split the club though, there are those who will only wear the real deal and pay the money, and those that won't and buy likwidart, somemembers find this sacrilege; me personally i refuse to fork out £80 for a bit of plastic
  4. This not an option then? viewtopic.php?f=122&t=25391&hilit=carbonetics
  5. looks like a tow bar on some kind of 4x4 hit that. looking at a new door and new drivers side front wing. PM R35LEE he should be able to sort you out with both, might get a colour match, but might need to eget them sprayed. personally i think your better to go through the insurer, your looking the best part of probably £300 in parts (guessing) and possibly another £600 for spraying and maybe £100 fitting costs.
  6. DMS were selling the carbonetics clutch setup. thats meant to be very impressive. with your heavy driving i'm wondering if you should look at something designed for a turbo setup and not for a standard NA?
  7. as far as i'm aware the child seat not going in a zed is only for rear facing child seats. nixy setup is fine.
  8. hope its the euro, and that it plummets by the summer
  9. 1. take wheel off 2. rub it down (need abrasive, 200 grit, working up to about 1000) 3. repair any curbing with wheel filler 4. rub down again (500 grit working to 1500) 5. spray a coat of primer on, leave for 1 hour 6.gently rub down with 2000 grit 7. spray another coat, leave for another hour 8. gently rub down with 2000 grit 9.spray 1 last coat leave for 24 hours 10. gently rub down with 2000 grit 11. spray on colour, light coats same process as above leave for an hour between coats and rub down gently with 2000 grit. 12. after final coat of colour, you might put on up to 7 or 8, leave for 24 to 48 hours to harden off 13. rub down 1 last time with, you guessed it 2000 grit. 14. apply laquer, probably 2 coats. 15 leave to dry for 24-48 hours before fitting to car. hope that helps You need to thoroughly clean and degrease the wheel after taking it off. Also (common sense here) spend some time masking too.
  10. oh dear thats chavtastic thats an expensive list you have that just got more expensive. suppose you can get yourself the used MPS2 from europe Cs can sort you out the clutch and maybe just do the oil cooler
  11. where these an ebay buy or from someone off the forum?
  12. just seen the pics, that looks nasty, and very deep. i would still say a smart repair is possible, but if your going down the paintshop route, then you'll get the best finish
  13. did a bit of reading last night, seems the HTC battery life is a bit shocking, some people haveing to recharge it everyday. suppose it depends on how much you use it and what you do on it. will probably end up with another iphone
  14. yes i meant 1200, 0r 2000 or 2500 its like rubbing down with paper
  15. i'm off to france in the summer in the Zed, am i going to regret it?
  16. most bodykits aren't but the jap stuff is more expensive as it has to be shipped over and the exchange rate is crap at the moment
  17. i would have gaffa taped my hands to it, more chance of a human takeoff then
  18. which mid mounted turbo kit are people talking about?
  19. they look good in that colour advice when laquering, is practice on something else first. its not the same as using normal paint i see laquering more as an art form than just an ability. and yes use something like 200 grit wet and dry or even 2500 would be better, and its a very light rub,
