  1. any one driving a car properly (i don't mean that in a derogatory manner) i.e. a grip racer will surely be pushing the tyres harder than a drifter. as the tyre sidewall is actually having to take all the lateral G and the weight of the car round the corner. a drifter in its very nature is no longer in grip so the lateral G on the tyre is greatly reduce as its not actually gripping. your just wearing the rubber away quicker. as you glide across the tarmac. if thats what you want to do then thats up to you, but the tyre was never designed to be used like that. it is therefore not performing to its maximum potential. it may be a great setup for a drifter, but i wouldn't trust that setup for road use.
  2. in forum terms thats a life time
  3. must admit that with my rim protectors on i've ended up with a similar look just without the lowering and the big alloys and the mental camber
  4. can't beat a traffic light grandprix
  5. lee's price has been 325 for ages, those that bought at £350 should have shopped around
  6. nice looking car
  7. nothing like that for me
  8. that was funny, i can't believe the stupidity of some people
  9. wow its like xmas and birthdays all rolled into one
  10. i got alot of stuff 2nd hand so my mods happened as stuff came up on the forum. the wheel option is another good idea
  11. who you bunching in the strange bracket with you? i'm completely normal, its just pimm whos the weirdo
  12. thats exactly the point, and one i've made several times before. also what people forget is that the loss in BHP is not across the whole rev range but only right at the very top end.
  13. i'm short compared to people who are over 6 foot which for some unlucky reason included most people in my old boxing club not only that but because of my weight cough 17 stone cough cough, i end up sparring with the really big mutha pluckers and they were all built like king kong and referenced to everyone as bubba
  14. i'm 5 foot 9 so i'm average in height, but i have seen SMS in full swing and it wasn't a pretty sight
  15. it s because i remembered what my JWT was liek when i fitted it
  16. i'm so out of practice and my fitness has gone down the pan, i think i'd struggle to finish 1 3 minute bout.
  17. no worries, its what we're all here for
  18. i'm from a boxing background, found the fitness training very good and teaches good discipline, but as said before its all down to personal preference. even in boxing different people have different styles. i'm unlucky in the fact that i'm not massivley tall and my reach isn't as long as others, so if i was sparring with a taller opponent with a longer reach i have to get in and under there attack. great once your there as you can do a lot of damamge, but getting there can hurt and you have to learn to take a few punches for me it was the fitness and the learning of discipline and control.
  19. depends have you done everything you want to engine wise. if so then i'd say go straight for the re map the advantage with most of the body mods is you can do it bits at a time and build the kit as you go. so start with the front bumper, then the next month do the sides etc.
  20. another cracking price drop lee
  21. nope if you mix the 2 you'll get the velocity stack, but it will be in an enclosed air box with a low down bumper air feed. its why i have the typhoon, but have retro fitted the Apexi filter, as it has a velocity stack as well
  22. 06 box and a decent panel filter will give you the best BHP
  23. if i remember rightly the JWT had a wide open mouth which pushed on to a very large mushroom shaped velocity stack. i think the connector was ally, so you'll need option 2 as the ally end then pushed up into the original air intake
  24. the K&N intake tube is 3" so depending on what the connection of the JWT is it will a./ go straight on and just need a jubilee clip to secure ( i have so new spares) b./ require a 3" silicone coupler and 2 jubilee clips
