  1. i'll most likely be there with the S2K club and the MR2 club.
  2. http://www.signaturecarhire.co.uk/porsc ... 4wodsSCRZw http://www.driveinstyle.co.uk/
  3. don't know what wheels and tyres he's running but that looked to be twitching pretty much all the way through all the acceleration .
  4. Iv'e driven both and yes they are lovely to drive, as is an MX5.... but if you over 6' tall or over 14 stone (I'm both) yeah height can be an issue, weight not to bad, i'm 17 stone and never had an issue with the smaller cars. I only every had a minor struggle with the buckets on a lotus 7
  5. the mr2 mk3 roadster was a great car, i had one and loved it, was one of my favourite cars i've ever had. the steering and handling were great the only let down was the power and storage space. storage was more an issue for my wife, but i loved it. and as for power that was easily remedied. you could turbo it for about 2-2.5k if you didn't mind doing the work yourself. as for the S2k well thats what i moved to and i have to say, i'm loving it. some of the more moronic on here will say both are hairdresser/girls cars but unless you've driven them they just don't know. yes both are down on torque compared the the zed, but i'd say the s2k is more involving to drive than the zed. with the less weight in comparison it just feels alot more like a go kart. each to their own people like what they like. i'd definitly say the s2k is worth a look. i saw a nice TT at the garage when i bought mine, and they do look nice in the interior.
  6. not really regret the mods as such as i did like them, but more the fact of settling on things and not pushing myself for the mods i really wanted. like powder coating wheels instead of buying the rims i really wanted or holding out for a CF plenum that never materialised - the whole process of waiting put me off the car as it brought other issues to light. i kind of regretted the car, i could never get it how i wanted to. i couldn't get the sound out of it i wanted regardless of mods. i kind of regretted the car for its difficulty to mod; not that you couldn't mod it, but it always just seemed to be a pain; NA mods never really got gains and some things were just not worth it like manifolds. so easy on other cars but a ballache on the zed.
  7. most people on here are looks based not track based. i think there was a thread a while back asking why people bought the car. and most said it was for the looks. if you run a car with the right offsets and widths then different wheels with a wider track will have their benefits. 18's are definitely recommended for track work though. play around with the geo and suspension and you can dial out some of the qualities the spacers add. but to be honest the difference with spacers is marginal. and the majority of people who buy them will get them for the looks and to be fair i would say most don't have the driving expereince to notice the difference with and without them fitted.
  8. nice video, but i tend to find they don't prove massive amounts. alot of it comes down to the driver, i'd still put the M3 ahead of the Zed and the Teg last nice to see the stook giving them a run for their money, and nice to see the boxster at the back; i nearly got one instead and glad i didn't.
  9. i've done this, and got an uncut emarald and a weekend in bogna. i didn't take up the weekend as i'm sure there would be some major catches. and the mearld is worth very little unless you spend a lot of money getting it cut into something worth wearing
  10. i had these one mine and used to track the car and didn't find it massively different. a decent Geo setup would help to counteract some of that. admittedly mine were on a coupe, so the stiffer chassis may well have hidden some of those characteristics.
  11. exhausts have more to do with looks and sounds than they do with real gains when it comes to the Zed. yes there will be some but not massively noticable. and comparing different exhausts on performance; all your really doing is giving yourself down the pub chat figures.
  12. Sorry about the crap pictures, but got back late with them. i reckon it gives me uber downforce on the corners as you may have quickly gathered, this isn't really about spoilers, but i thought the pictures were worth a giggle. its amazing what you can carry with the S2K, i got all this on/in the car well i suppose your all wondering whats all this time wasting about? well i am so excited about my new car toys that i thought i had to share (some may disagree of course ) i've been waiting ages for these to come over from the states, but they finally got here while i was on holiday. the top box is my new (well; new to me) comptech Ice box. it came up at the right time and felt it a good option; i will look for a new filter to put on it. either a new CT one or maybe something else. although this has been cleaned so will do for now. I'm also going to vinyl the writting on properly and get rid of the flakey text that was painted on. the other 2 boxes are my new exhaust; after much reading and researching i felt it was one of the best options to go for as it offered looks, sound and quality without leaving my ears bleeding. it really is a beautiful piece of metal work and i can't weight to fit it. got my brothers wedding this weekend so these might have to wait till next week. if anyone wants to come and help me fit them, i always enjoy the company when i work. more updates once fitted. and i'll also try and do some before and after vids as well.
  13. i have a full selection of zed bulbs in the for sale sectionf ro about 30 quid
  14. should still have the K&N typhoon system with a APEXI intake and the retractable front number plate with remote control
  15. my old one is still available at the place i traded it in http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/www/ca ... 7363146367
  16. same as lot of rally cars have them, to save wait things like air con and all the internal venting are removed, but as driving with the window down isn't possible they use the roof scoops to divert air straight into the cabin. middle of summer, fire proofs, overals, helmet and no circulating air, hmmmmmmmmmm that sounds fun
  17. i did this with my students last year, when i did an animation course with them for 4 days. good outcomes but painfully slow and tedious at other times. these blokes are very good though
  18. sorry this item sold a couple of months ago
  19. at the end of the day the seller has a minimum price and the buyer has a maximum price, if the 2 don't overlap it aint never gunna happen if you've got an unrealistic idea of what it costs then sellers won't sell, and if your a seller and you have unrealisitic ideas on price then buyers wont pay up either. i have found that being on here there are a lot of members who want something for nothing and think the forum is some kind of second hand charity shop. and i've told several people to jog on with parts.
  20. you got to have a reason for them to drop the price; i can't see them doing it just because they like you face. my approach is to do my homework first. work out the prices, find out what the average is for the age year mileage etc, bring evidence etc. then i go over the car find any niggles things that will need doing etc and then i work down the price using solid points to negotiate. if you came to buy form me and gave me no good reason to drop the price i'd tell you to jog on no one wants to give it away. some places automatically inflate the price so that when they knock a bit off they make you feel like you've got a bargain, when in reality your just paying list price. i got nearly a grand knocked off my current car, just by knowing how to play the dealer.
  21. royal purple is my engine lube of choice
  22. the team do a good job and the traders are well policed, for me its the constant flood of minor thanks threads for very minor work, or even just ordering in a part. its almost as if people are being offered discounts to post up. which i hope is not the case as for me this would be abusing the forum a little
