  1. attak might be right, what are the offsets of the wheel?
  2. 265/45/18 on the rear and 235/45/18 on the front would be a closer match to the original rolling diameter with only 1.4% at the front and 1.4% out at the rear. change your tyres would be a good starting point, and if when changed they are properly balanced, then all issues should go away.
  3. your LSD just allows the 2 rear wheels to move at different speeds, changing the rotational diameter wont effect the LSD and its ability of doing its job. wrong sized tyres would only really effect the traction control as its set for a certain rolling diameter, change the diameter and the LSD gets confused and just kicks in all the time. again neither would cause a knocking noise.
  4. front = - 2.20 % rear = - 5.16 % THAT'S YOUR PROBLEM ............. LSD not neccessarily, depends on what wheels he's running? if they are stock rims then yeah not good. but it won't cause a knocking, just the traction will kick in all the time.
  5. sounds like you need the wheels properly balancing, any tyre and exhaust place will do that for you. only cost a small amount
  6. yes online translator; as mentioned above, might be wheel weights and wheel balance, but that would show as a vibration in the steering, or felt at the rear.
  7. Добро пожаловать в клуб, не уверены в механике вблизи Ðортгемптоне, но еÑли вы не виду небольшого диÑка, еÑть Ñ€Ñд очень хорошо, вокруг Ñлужащих Abbey motorsport Dixon motorsport TDI and i think JAPEX might be in your area
  8. if its a noise from ratating areas makes me think wheel bearing, but the noise you describe and when it happens does not sound right for the problem. to check it; while the car is parked, grab the top of each tyre and give each wheel a good shake, if there is movement in the wheel assembly then it is likely to be the bearing (but i don't think it will be) if your getting noises while crossin gthe white lines might be drop links or another part of the suspension. diagnosing sounds over the internet is never easy. my advice is take it in to a garage and get them to check it. whats your location we might be able to point you in the right direction of a good garage near you.
  9. if it was in english i might be able to help, but i don't speak random??? have a re-read, and try again as that all makes very little sense

i've seen that mx5 round near colchester, looks insane on the road
  11. decent axle stands are a better idea.
  12. i doubt its a permanent thing, more likely one of those slightly drunk moments when some one says " i wonder if we could run a **** off big pipe from the engine bay to the passenger window and run the filter from there; i bet it would be well funny to hear the induction noise up close" same as husky running the car with just the y pipe and nothing behind. etc
  13. agreed a change in panel filter is not a mod worth declaring. if it was a full intake change then yes.
  14. so you can hear the intake better
  15. not grip, but a narrower tyre. if you put prius wheels on a zed then yes you would have less grip. but th ebiggest thing for economy is to run small narrow tyres, compound and tread will play a part but the size of the wheel will have the biggest impact. the bigger the wheel the more power is needed to get it turning and to stop it. more power = Less MPG. other methods are making the wheels lighter and also having a large surface area covering the wheel. bit like the bikes in the velodrome. to improve wind resistance round the wheel and reduce drag.
  16. clicky axles, drop links, gear box failure, to name a few. most aren't major issues and won't stop you driving it, but find a good one and one that has been well cared for and it shouldn't be an issue. forum owned ones are pretty good as they have usually been very well cared for.
  17. not if there are enough coats and a good clear coat on top and then its baked between coats. will harden up nicely. yes it will eventually chip, but not as badly or as quickly. did you use a plastic primer underneath? if you used ordinary primer then it will peel and chip very quickly and easily. looks good though
  18. on a sports car level its not horribly expensive to run, but if you were to compare it to a fiesta then yes it is expensive to run. the areas you have mentioned will all help to reduce the over all cost. remember when this was new it was a 30k car fuel is only an issue if you do high miles if you do less than 9k a year its not to bad. parts; they can be cheap and they can be expensive, the old rule of thumb "you get what you pay for" is very apt for the zed. enjoyment, well you'll get lots of that. its a great car; great to drive, great balance, and very rewarding.
  19. thats the face lift one, husky organised a pre facelift one.
  20. but 50 for an hour and a half parking is bloody extorionate. i'd appeal, you weren't car sharing, you bought some drinks in the shop, what more do they want. i'd contact the CAB
