  1. had mobiles for the last 10 years and i get a new one every 18 months because i use them heavily. i understand the point of it, but for most its just an insurers way of making easy cash. i usually get it a case and a screen protector and leave it at that.
  2. i had £900 worth of exhaust; £300 of intake; £400 of High Flow Cats. thats £1600 roughly and i doubt i made more than about 6bhp; but then i had not been remapped, but again i reckon i could double that figure to about 2 bhp but add on nearly another £400 so nearly 2k for not a hugh difference in performance. the noise was good, your half way to a supercharger at that price. if your going to spend then another say 5-7K on a supercharger just have a think about what car you could buy with another 7k which would have the performance. i'm not trying to pi$$ on your chips here, but think seriously before you start modding, if your doing it for the noise then knock yourself out, but if your only doing it to chase BHP, then my advice is get it remapped as it is, maybe with something for the noise, and then go do some driver training and track days. you'll make more gains from the performance already there than by adding 2k in mods.
  3. never had insurance on a phone, don't need it.
  4. racing plenums make very little difference unless FI and racing manifolds aren't worth the hassle. your looking at 12 hours easily to change them as they are a pig to get to. The cost far out ways the gains.
  5. kinetix manifold is a big fail unless your FI'd
  6. do you mean the garage open sensors, that are on the front of the car, for people with automated garages. if it was parking sensors every tom dick and harry would be speed exempt and everyone one would be driving like mad max
  7. I do see alot of threads from members thanking the traders for their hard work, but after a while we do seem to end up with a lot of them a bit like spam. i wouldn't want to remove this medium from people but would it make more sense for traders to have a single thread in their section labelled as feedback so that all users of that trader can put their feedback in there be it positive or negative so that all can browse that thread and get their own feeling about that trader. maybe lock it as a 1 post only i.e you can only post once in it to save on discussions going on in it. and treat it more like an ebay seller review section only an idea
  8. what are your first impressions then? very different to the iphone, i've got very used to the iphone and knew where everything is, am now re learning the new phone. the HTC feels a bit more... dare i say.... grown up. but the iphone is just one of those phoens you can pick up and just use. its a very instinctive phone. speed wise the HTC is a lot quicker than my old 3G screen is better as well, but then i am comparing to the older style iphone not the new 4g. give me a couple of weeks and ask me again then. when i've had to use it properly for a while and got some apps downloaded onto it.
  9. i've just switched my 3g off, as i now have my new HTC desire
  10. if its the right type of gold it would work well, think you want more of a darker bronze gold.
  11. drove mine through all the winter weather, have don ewith all my cars.
  12. just goes to show you have to be a special kind of person to be a motorcyclist i think they were actually motorcycle sex fiends
  13. best paint for this kind of work is from paints4u.com best colour matches i've come across with the best spraying nozzles; and good quality paint. another tip is not to just mask the area and spray the area as you'll end up with a ridge where the paint sits on top of the old paint. use a piece of card with a hole cut out of it rougly the same size as the damaged area. hold it about 3 inches above where your spraying and spray through it (keeping the can about 20-30 cm away from the card) this will help to feather the paint. and aid with the blending. same technique with the laquer. and the primer. make sure you use the right primer for the colour, primer will change the end colour; i think GM is meant to have a white primer but i might be wrong and it could be a grey. you'll never get it as good as a body shop but it should help. i'd also recommend doing some test cards with different primers and paint on top. make sure you get the best finish.
  14. if it returns then do the throttle pedal reset
  15. god that clip reminds me of playing with husky on COD
  16. remap will bring the car alive add in any mods with it you want for extra noise/bhp before hand if you want to. and then spend your cash on driver training, will make the most out of the car. most people don't use most of the cars potential and think the answer is more power. learn to drive it properly and you could shave seconds off lap times; more than most power mod. and you'll have great fun learning it all at the same time. for out and out gains FI is the only way forward Most NA mods will be more for noise than for go. they'll make a slight difference but you'll spend thousands for very little oomph. the remap will bring out the biggest change in feel for the least amount of cash. go see abbey they know what they're talking about and they tune not just lizards track car but many others as well. they know more about car and track setups for cars than any average joe weekend track warrior and won't disappoint.
  17. if sticking with that date, then i should be up for it. if lucy joins me though would be another thing. she only does so much camping before she's had enough for the year. she's already told me shes not coming to JAE in september so will check this one.
  18. We're going to the Loire valley and then stopping off in Normandy on the way back. Think the Loire is central and meant to be very nice. We booked last year when we got back from our last holiday as good campsites book up quick. Have a google for French campsites. Look at the pics. And then search to see if any reviews are about. Sites linked wiu places like eurocamp and other places tend to ne good. Just. A research job.
  19. i had an mr2 roadster about 5 years ago awesome fun to drive, not bad mpg cheap to mod cheap to buy now. and you can turbo it for under 2k. mid engine rear wheel drive and weighs under a ton. bhp may not be has high as the zed but it would be hard to beat for fun factor.
