sasha you must have been lucky, as i did deal with him and have seen more of his bad work than his good work. the one thing with this forum is that not everyone likes to complain, especially when its a well known trader, i know several people who have had bad jobs done but never said anything. its a shame as i think sometimes there can be an unbalanced view of things which can result in more people loosing money when they shouldn't have too. and when anything bad is said all the coat tail clingers pipe up to defend their trader. but thats life i suppose. my advice is choose your trader carefully, do your research, pm long standing members and ask for reccomendations, the mod team as a colaboration all have expeirence of pretty much all traders and should be able to guide you in the right direction. also find other members who have had theo work done that you want and see where they bought it from/had it done. same as getting a building quote. speak to more than one person. get a balanced view.

to start with the picture is not of the owners car as far as i'm aware, they have nicked the picture off someone else. 2nd - the seller used to be a trader on here, but their products, services and general attitude sucked worse than a broken hoover.

i've contemplated this as well, it should give you more grip and stop the rear sliding around as much. as long as your not mixing across the axle it should be ok. the reccomended advice would be same tyres all round.

cheapest quality powder coating job was BJV engineering - i know several people who have used them and they do a very good job place i last used was Blakenham blast cleaning services- very good smooth finish.

of course i had forgotten about the retro encabulators, often seen as the bench mark for all encabulation technology.

i had the sessanta's on last winter and found them to be ok in the snow. your not going to be setting any lap records but there is just about enough traction to get you from a to b if you have to go out. the zed will go on them, but winter tyres would be better.

ah they made you pay the £30? which should mean your covered if they filled all the stuff in on your behalf. if so then you should be covered for a full refund. there is how ever an upper limit on how much they refund (not the garage but HPI) admittedly £30 is alot though as i'm sure a full HPI is only £20 at most,

when i've done HPI before one of the main issues is that you are only covered if you have completed it before you buy it and have completed all sections inc mileage. i think there was a week overlap from buying where you had to go back on and add the mileage to make sure you are fully covered. if you haven't done the HPI or do it after buying it your not covered at all. your only way out is to hope the garage help. persoanlly i think your less likely to see a full refund as most cars are sold as seen, if there HPI is clear; at time of sale then it wass down to the buyer to do their own. a meet half way on price situation may be more likely outcome. but to be honest you'll need to play it by ear. if the gargae are happy to refund you the full amount, then go that route, if they odn't seem that helpful then the paying the differnece route is better,

perosnally i wouldn't do wheels with a rattle can, it may look good to start with, but its unlikely to last long term. if you can take the wheels and tyres off i know a very good place that will do a full strip, fix and powder coat for £140 with tyres on £180. or i know another place that will do it in a day and do all the work for ab out £200. thats the cheapest i could get the work done by people who know what they are doing and use the right temps. but it also means it will be hardwearing and more permanent.

if you had a full HPI check on the car and something appeared that wasn't on it then you are covered for a refund. if when you bought the car they had HPI'd it then there should be some paper work with it to prove this. i've always carried out my own checks. never trust a garage. go have a chat with them, they may not refund you but if that blokes interested you might be able to agree thew difference with the original garage, they may like this as it means they won't get the car back, and the issue will go aaway quickly.

nope thats the fitting and spraying costs. as the kit is such a bad fit and so thin, thats how much it will cost to fit.
