put snow tyres on it and it becomes useable. doesn't make the 350z rally equivilant but its useable. to be honest i don't find rwd in the snow that bad; but thats my personal opinion. had rwd for the last 8 years and drive them as a daily driver, come rain, sun or snow.

If they were mandated by the State then you'd have to fit them and if you didnt your insurance would be void yep you'd need to declare when you fitted them, then if you have a crash and they aren't on then you are trouble.

it possibly didn't sell as dealers find it hard to shift big expensive fuel drinking v6's in this current climate, and with all the snow, who wants to buy a rear wheel drive car. if all seems sound and the gearbox is in good nick, the only thing i would be tempted with is to compression test the engine, if its got a full nissan service on the right times etc, then it should be alright. the 350z has very few engine problems as long as its well looked after.

what are the rough costs of doing a towing course and licence, i'd like to add it to mine. i can already tow 15tonne trailer but not covered to do ti with the cars.

the metro its based on is the old metro turbo which does look quiet...erm...erm...extreme apart from the fact he's converting a 5 door with a 3 door kit, and that model he has is not the insane turbo that the original metro turbo had. he's on the right lines. if he go the rest of the kit and resprayed it; he wouldn't be too far off.

people talk about the excessive costs for dealing with snow properly. as far as i can see the easiest fix is to stop gritting the roads and make it a legal requirement to fit snow/winter tyres.

some nice looking kit, D2 stuff is meant to be quiet good. poly bushes are an idea, i'd also go with a full fast road setup or track set up geo at somewhere like DMS.
