  1. There's a new series starting in spring so Jason Plato and Tiff Needell said at autosport fair do's last time i heard the exec's at channel 5 were scrapping it as it wasn't competing well or drawing the numbers. looks like they changed their minds
  2. fifth gear is dead, that was the last series from what i heard. it won't be re commisioned
  3. i use double clutching and engine braking all the time never had anyone go in to the back of me, as for my earlier comment, if the calipers are sticking the heat will transfer far quicker into things like the wheels, if the wheels are hot it means something is producing large amounts of heat and using the wheesl to disipate it. if the claiper is sticking it mught need refurbing, or if its intermittent it might be a warped disc. thsi can be skimmed or replaced. my first port of call would be dismantle and re copper grease then properly go and bed them in. also if the discs arent up to the standard of the pads it could be the eak link; i've heard of people running the EBC turgo grooves and one track day saw them warp and crack. if you drive hard you might actually need brakes that will handle it.
  4. drive it, test it and see if the codes come back; if they do get a code reader and check them, if its got a modded exhaust an o2 simulator will fix it.
  5. good effort, good to see these are still selling; rob at likwid art is a good mate

    top effort hugh
  9. if you only do 10 k a year and only keep the car 2 years then its not such a good deal.
  10. worst case senario is that the codes have been lost and will need to be re coded, but i think you'll find if you use the "manual" unlock method and you pop the hood and recharge it that the fobs will work again. if you leave it for long periods i would invest in a trickle charger to keep it topped up all the time.
  11. i've never bought wheels from rarerims but i have asked them questions etc regarding wheels and they have been good at getting back. sometimes communication just gets screwed in the pipe line. good luck with the new designs
  12. or be special needs to get a title like husky
  13. good write up, nice to see what real owners actually think, nice to see the honesty as well
  14. if they are sqweeking when not breaking its possible your claipers arent releasing fully. are the wheels hot when you park up?
  15. got a few posts yet to be a zed legend though
  16. bet he still had the keys in the hand he shut the door with
  17. well its not 100% solved bit of a clumsy solution and not quite what was originally set out to be accomplished. Biscuit looked at the folding fob quite closely and we talked about it, what he says is accurate, its not going to be ecanomical to manufacture one, the only way would be fitting the existing one into a aftermarket flip case which is difficult. I might make a folding one for my own use but i doubt i'll ever get the time to put it down as a project so I guess i'll never get the chance thats the issue it cant be fitted in to an aftermarket one as the buttons don't fit the holes. and the circuit doesnt fit the case, even with major surgery to the PCB. the only fix is a custom designed and built casing. mucho dollars as for the mirror fix, not really thats a back yard bodge job, the aim was to build a standalone Pic controller that would do multiple functions like auto dip on reversing, out fold on egnition off, open on key fob etc.
