  1. +1 on the metallic purple whites been done to death,
  2. I'd be seriously looking at stripping the Mods, your car is stunning but you could remove things like the lip etc swap the wheels out for standards etc. it would make it easier to sell and you could coin back some more cash for the mods.
  3. leave the rear at a 35 profile. just make sure you use a decent tyre calculator to work out the closest tyre size to stock.
  4. turquoise, lime green, purple, some kind of red.
  5. the V6 is meant to be awesome in the sound department as well
  6. i had one of these fitted on my very first car http://www.ecotekplc.com/CB-26P.htm must admit i think i did see a small improvement also used their power boost spray as well but that was all on my first car never done it since
  7. whats wrong with that, has 4 seats and a boot cheap as chips to buy as well. so cheap i'd probably supercharge it if i got one as well sorry Rich but I would feel like a traitor i've already done the s2k might as well do the hatrick
  8. whats wrong with that, has 4 seats and a boot cheap as chips to buy as well. so cheap i'd probably supercharge it if i got one as well
  9. my first choice would be wheel weights, my 2nd would be the alignment, with all the cold weather there are more pot holes about; only takes a few bad bumps and the alignment can change
  10. this is where my car choosing is falling to at the moment, i have a short list but it changes all the time at the moment its looking like Alfa 147 GTA Audi A3 3.2 Quattro VW Golf Mk4 R32 Mazda RX8 BMW 330i and then loads of not sures.
  11. lol i lived at home for a while and all my spare cash went on my car, but it wasnt a zed it was an mr2 roadster. and i was 24
  12. only way to save fuel is to not drive it, or don't push the right pedal very hard
  13. haha ok then so yeh ok, guys without lieing here, what cars have you guys raced in your Z's and came out on top, no little 1.2L's or anything now lol. only on the track for me, had a play against a few, but to be honest it was down to times and not a side by side shoot out. last track day i beat some other zeds, a lotus, an alfa GTA, i also got beat by some zeds, lots of lotus's and an alfa GTA. depends on what your doing with it. the elises were faster round the high speed bends, but i reckon i had more fun, but point to point i was quicker than some others. zeds are great to drive, but they are heavy, at the end of the day its a GT cruiser not an out and out sports car. p.s. bragging about racing on this forum generally gets you branded a retard and no one will take you seriously. lots of grownups on here who take things seriously (like me ) if its traffic light grandprixs and your only going up to the speed limit, (and we all do it occasionally) the zed is fairly capable but you will lose out to the big boys. save your pennies and go do some track days, or car limits days, or car taster days.
  14. Caitec Delta Limited in Ghana make them which is why they are not that well known here I guess. I always go by the rule "Don't skimp on tyres or brakes". It's no good getting them for £50 a corner if they spit you off at the first wet bend. They do some quite chunky ones that should last ages though
  15. in the case of wheels you get what you pay for, fairly certain if you buy cheap you'll need to spend another 300 in the next 12 months to have them refurbed as the paint will blister; they probably need a full set of diving weights to balance them. i think someone else had them and had issues with spigot rings, so basically you had to drive under 70mph so that you didn't get tyre judder. if your budget is tight i'd be looking 2nd hand, or buy an tired pair and refurb them.
  16. I know Top Gear reviews have to be taken with a pinch of salt but they hated the way it drove - too much power if I remember they also said its the one they'd each take home as well
  17. i must have driven some very heavy clutched car's i found the zed pedal quiet light, as for the bite point i would say its normal although each car is different. have you checked the clutch is running smoothly and not worn. put it in third give it a decent amount of revs and see if it will pull away. if you can pull away in third without any slip then the clutch ahs plenty of life in it.
  18. i "fink" they are best left on ebay; but wheels are a personal choice if i was spending the money i'd be looking at 19"s
  19. i have a set of oem skirts i know i don't have the rest, but if it helps drop me a line, they are just cluttering my loft up at the moment.
  20. must admit i do agree with you, but i'm looking at being debt free, not saving anything though just maximising what i have of my paycheck each month. so i can say what the hell i'll buy that new stereo etc etc. with the possibilities of little biscuits at some point in the future i want to make sure i have the sapre capital to be able to do it properly etc
  21. i'm trying to work the other way and reducing my credit as i go, nothing out of hand, but i'm getting bored of lining others pockets. had a 6 year plan now 3 years in and on target, with my next car change and credit move i should be completetly debt free in 3 years.
