  1. i like the back end on the new one and those side vents, and the front looks deeper a bit meatier, it gets a biscuit thumbs up from me
  2. you've been at the pool side on holiday had your phone out and while you've gone in for some lunch one of the kids accidently kicks your phone into the pool without noticing. its a good 45 minutes before you come out and realise whats happened. but thankfully its in the shallow end at only a metre deep ****. sorry i couldn't resisit, my back up idea was falling asleep in the bath
  3. i think this might be the first time i beat Ian to a picture whoring opportunity
  4. don't forget the zed is one of the poster girls for the play station generation, lots of kids have grown up seeing the zed in granturisimo, forza, need for speed etc. and all the fast and furious movies. its a young generation icon.
  5. i told them not to use that picture of me in the movie,
  6. they may be reviewing it just to make sure the forum doesn't get held responsible for any legal action for posting someones personal details up. I'm sure i remember a situation a while back where a member did this to another member and they got banned, but this was after a warning. they may just need to edit it before bringing it back, or locking it. who knows, but I'm sure when they've had time to discus it they'll post up a response.
  7. i must admit i have tried to be impartial as possible with my argument on here. yes i know between the 2 cars which is my favorite but I've tried to make sure I've been balanced with my view. pointed out the benefits and disadvantages of both and even my current motor. what I'm trying to avoid is not saying which one is the better car as thats subjective. but more that they are both very different vehicles, driven differently and achieve different things. what really frustrates me is the people who just say "the zeds the best" thats subjective, its an opinion but its not fact. yes it might be the best car for that person, but it doesn't mean that rule can be rolled out for every tom dick and harry. i just want to maintain with the few of us that are trying a balanced view and not one that comes with zed tinted specs. for me my fav was the honda it just did something for me the zed could never do. i loved it, but it had its frustrations. thats not to say there weren't things i loved about my zed and they are great cars. but thats just my opinion, just because this setup suits me best doesn't; mean its suitable for the next person. i don't want to get in trouble with the mods and be seen as a troll on here so i hope for all its noticeable that i am trying to be unbiased and untroll like. S2000 is the best car ever... infinite + infinite no comebacks
  8. i did it on the jag and it sets it off nicely, i didn't go with limo stint as i had tried it in a mates car and hated it, mine is dark smoke and actually visibility isn't bad. mines not black so limo would have looked out of place on it.

  11. I just googled the system on your footer....I would like a twin DIN system....I'm told this is what is required to replace the 'gap'? Sorry if I sound vague...I've never bought a car system and really don't have a clue as you've probably guessed ! I just found one...any good or can I get better? what do you want out of your headunit? theres no point in spending big money on an all singing all dancing unit when all you want is an ipod connection and better sound quality. list out what you'll be using it for and then i'm sure others will help you find the best unit for you.

  13. really? i never had a problem, i suppose you just think further ahead with your driving like you do with advanced driving courses so you are in the right gear as you need it with the revs where you want them. agreed though that the Zed is a far lazier driving style. you can rely on the more instant torque with out needing to much input. its like the difference between an auto and a manual both do the same job, but in completely different manners, and one requires more input from the driver than the other. neither one is better as it depends on what conditions you use it in to where its strengths lie. both cars require completely different driving styles to get the best out of them. if you used a zed technique of driving in the S2K it would feel rubbish. if you drove the zed like the S2k the car wouldn't thank you for it.

  15. i agree its more like a quick retreval system, in case of accidents, or spillages etc.

  17. thats the issue with the nissan sports stuff is that they built a good car, but because of the badge they can only sell at a certain price, so in order to build it they've had to compromise on certain things in order to achieve it for its price of sale. and its this concern that worries me about the GTR

  19. i don't disagree chris, but the zed isn't the highest torque car ever but it still destroys clutches. there are other cars V8 V12 W16 all with more torque that aren't as destructive to clutches as the zed is. once people fit the better after market clutches they are fine. the biggest issue is not The torque that the zed puts out but the inferior clutch they fitted in the factory.

  21. thats more water resistnat than water proof, its still not a sealed unit, so if you drop it in the bog for a long enough period water will still get into the circuits.

  23. you can eat a clutch through poor clutch control and riding the bite too much as well. but seein ghow many zed clutches have had to be changed i don't think nissan put the best product in on launch. the zed gearbox is good and will happily cope with about 400 bhp, but the clutch is the weak link in the chain.
