  1. Thanks for your help! Never offered to come and give us a hand! Boohooo! Even I traveled half way round the world to come and help Looking and sounding great Darren
  2. This last weekend, I went out and got a honing tool. Here it is . . It nearly killed me twice, doing some research on you tube, the chap said after honing the cylinder pull the tool out whilst its still spinning . . Ummm Don't do that!! The frigging thing exploded and the arms flew off at 600rpm So off I went to get another one, since I can't find two of the arms . . they are in the garage somewhere So take two . . and the same things happened . . I am going to put it down to jet lag Anyhow. . this is how I got on . . . after a first pass. Getting there . . . And this is how it looks at the moment. . . Still a long way to go to get rid of all the rust pitting, but hey, whats the rush I am off to pack my suitcase again . . got a week or so coming up here . . Thats all of now
  3. Well its been a while since I updated this, reason will become clear shortly Anyway, Bruce died. . for those who don't know, Bruce was a Bronco (Ford), so that means . . . . . I get his engine block and all the trimmings . . . So now I have two tables to make. Since the original one has been cleaned up, I decided to make a start on the new one to stop the rust getting any more grips. The block has been on the truck, but no head attached, rain damp and all sorts have been attacking it. . . . but before I made a start work got in the way . . . I went here . . then I went here . . . . . and while I was there, I got to go here . . Since I was traveling east, I decided to venture a little further, so I went here . . . And that was a complete lap of the globe, 52 air time hours in coach After all that sitting down, time to crack on, block de-greased and I started cleaning up the "shiney bits" and sorted out the extra bits, I now have another 8 pistons
  4. Why not treat the wife to a nice week away . . i don't know, perhaps the USA, where a MAC is about the same in $$ as ££ . . so you essentially get one half price . . and you have a nice little holiday . . . you can even order on line and have it delivered to the nearest Apple shop to your hotel

  17. I didn't read it that way, maybe you're just feeling a little sensitive? Maybe I am fed up with a few peoples attitudes on here as to how this forum is moderated, perhaps those people needs to spend less time trying to dish up some dirt and gossiping, and more time doing using the forum as its meant to be. /rant
  18. Being an Ex Moderation the "one of the team" comment seems to be a blatant dig at the way this forum is moderated and is uncalled for. If you don't like it, feel free to pop on over to mums.net and spend your time there Also it seems like a lot of people have a VAT chip on their shoulder recently
  19. I would have thought "sorry we can't match that price at this time" would be a far more suitable and professional response IMO

Big brake kits look great.... But unless you are tracking your car or driving at excessive speed the majority of the time do you actually need than?
  21. I am going to guess . . Ditch finders, different on all four corners
