  1. In addition to the FRS&C monthly meets on the second Sunday of each month (10:00 - 13:00), they're adding a Japanese car event to the meeting next month on Sunday 12th February. Space will be limited, so the advice I've been given is to get there a bit earlier, say 09:30/09:45 - first come, first served. If no space is left in the Japanese allocated spaces, parking should still be available in the regular meeting area.
  2. I've seen this show before in Youtube videos etc - along with Japan itself of course, it looks absolutely epic. Myself and a few mates are driving over to Germany in April to visit Techno Classica Essen. I've suggested previously that the Tokyo Auto Salon should be the destination one year soon!

  4. Thanks - but what does the "not fitted from new" bit refer to? I'm aware that the later models are "less likely to fail", but it's still a worry and the reason why I'll probably pull the fuse.
  5. Am I reading this wrong or misunderstanding this? Mine's a 2017 and deffo has the steering lock!
  6. Two Zeds on one day, just to see one is remarkable, let alone two. First one on the A264 Horsham Bypass and on towards Crawley. White 370Z Nismo, plate ending 'BYE'. So, two white Nismos by chance together, very unusual. Second one later on in Reigate High Street, a black GT. Didn't notice the reg.
  7. Well, an overnight recon' last weekend with the new charger/conditioner has got the motor spinning to start as it should do. Job done.
  8. That looks really tidy and in good condition, nice in grey as well. The price seems quite reasonable, but for cash you could probably haggle somewhat, particularly at this time of year. Check with the seller to see if it's been modified in any way. I'm not suggesting that's bad, but would be handy to know if it's been mapped or fitted with a non OEM exhaust/high flow cats for example. Good luck.
  9. It could be better, I know. It did start fine yesterday, although in a rather lethargic manner, but I'm getting a CTEK charger (which is handy to have anyway) to hopefully get it back on track. In all honesty, the battery will probably be fine one the freezing weather gives up this weekend and I give the car a run for half an hour or so.
  10. I think that this first cold snap of the winter will pretty much kill off the Z's battery. Lack of use recently doesn't help, but it is the original one from new so it's five years old which isn't too bad. Just one question from me then - when removing it will I lose any settings in the car, or potentially mess something else up? Oh, and any good battery recommendations appreciated! Cheers.....
  11. That was immensely brave of you to do that journey in the current conditions - big respect to you and the Z!
  12. When the weather improves! Maybe between Christmas and New Year?
  13. Exactly what I think of them - marvels of the emerging technology and some are good looking as well, but completely devoid of any soul. Tesla have gone one step further - not only soulless but so, so, dull to look at.
  14. A mate of mine just two weeks ago bought a 70 plate Bullitt Mustang with just 3k miles on the clock - a completely left of field purchase considering he's a BMW man. He absolutely loves it, no regrets.
  15. Sorry Andy, not quite sure what you mean.
  16. Is there such a mod kit available for a 2017 370Z, either Nissan or aftermarket? Cheers....
  17. Visited the TM Cafe in Horsham this afternoon with a couple of mates. Great food and coffee and some decent cars to view. Could organise a Z meet there sometime if anyone's interested.
  18. Thanks Martin - "long term" will be another 3.5 years which is when I plan on retiring. At that point the car will be eight and a few months old, with around 35k miles on the clock. I'll get the chance to review its condition, having a proper look, at least once a year during servicing at Abbey. If it's just the W brace that ever needs replacing, that's not too bad I suppose.
  19. Well, that's just sod's law isn't it? Got round to calling them this afternoon and they're shutting up shop (retiring) in December!
  20. Appaling conditions but quite busy all the same. At least five Zeds in attendance as well.
  21. Very grateful Stu. Thanks for your time spent on sorting it out.
