  1. You sir are a true connoisseur of cars, I think I’ve fallen even more in love with the mk4 now appreciating how well it’s aged, but such a sucker for the 5 😆
  2. What project cars do you guys have with your 350s? or is your 350 your main project, just wanted to know (pictures will be massively appreciated) I have a Mk5 2.2vti motegi prelude in sparkle gold that I’ve been “doing/avoiding” for 5 years which is finally getting done, wondering if everyone else has turned their attention to the z over another project 😅
  3. Exactly what Alex said, but either way treat it sooner rather than later, you got any pictures of the rust currently?
  4. Called RPM Malvern ltd if you want to contact us
  5. You’re welcome to try us, we are in Malvern so about an hour away, we are very busy but I doubt we’d turn you away 🙂 depends if you want to travel that far aha how bad are the rusty bits? like this
  6. That would be awesome and obviously I’ll definitely have one! I’m just a sucker for metallic purple haha and bet they’d look very nice
  7. Would you possibly be willing to try a deep metallic purple one ? 😉
  8. They look great mate! is there any other options with primary colour etc?
  9. Junction 17 is a garage that are professional at selling polished turds for stupid money, if you buy a z off someone on here you’ll get the history or atleast some idea from the members, or post up the add and we will try and dissect it when we can etc? not all cars are bad but not all cars are good, at the same time people are willing to sell you a money Pitt if it gets them out of theirs
  10. I ran 40s front and rear, 255 front and 275 rear and they filled the arches perfectly
  11. Well atleast you can rule out majority of stuff then as coolant oil, exhaust fumes are very distinct, perhaps power steering fluid? that can give off a pretty strange smell if you’re not sure, if you e just been on a track day could be your clutch slave has given up and boiled? clutch feel a little lower etc?
  12. Welcome and goodluck, here is the place to be
  13. Is this of any use to anyone? I fitted a cobra y piece a while back to replace it, it’s standard the flexis are shagged but it will go in the scrap if nobody wants it all I’m asking for is £30?
  14. That’s the problem mate, I’ve just welded one of my arches for minute issue, but always take the covers off and clean down there as that’s the real issue with it, it’s 12” from any suspension component or mounting point as it reduces structural integrity if in a crash, so yes if you can see it need to get it sorted and make sure it’s done properly
  15. And for accuracy 12” from suspension component or suspension mounting and seat/ seatbelt mounting points etc
  16. If you can’t see it you can’t test it, you’re not allowed to remove any trim or under trays to look, so if you can’t see it with the bottom arch guard up you’ll be fine
  17. Yeah usually wait half an hour for it to be fully dead and then test to get a more accurate reading, batteries these days usually as a guidance last for say 5 years for a standard sealed or Sli battery from common suppliers, Bose amps are common for causing drains
  18. Hyper black my friend, thanks I am very happy with them
  19. For anyone wondering what they would be looking like here’s a pic. a negotiation can be made about the refurb if needed
  20. Fitted these yesterday and they were well worth the wait so happy with them
  21. Some of the cheaper kits don’t always fit into the rad caps and also it’s a bit of a pain because you’re not meant to get any coolant mixed with the sniff test liquid, so maybe find one that’s been used easily enough before and most likely, is it your expansion tank that’s low? the fans are common for going in the older de engines
