  1. A nice bumper tuck with the help of some lovely tech screws! Painted the outer rings “haha” gold on my clocks and gearstick, aswell as replacing the gear knob with a tomei short as the standard one isn’t very nice in my opinion swapped out the Oem Fans to mishimoto “silly fans” as I’ve seen them called
  2. Changed my sidelight bulbs to be “hip”
  3. I managed to do a semi clean and polish on my plenum and throttle body while cleaning out the inside of my plenum chamber
  4. Stripped back and cleaned out my rear arches and then re topped the under seal, they now look clean and happy! After I’d cut out the rust and welded a plate in
  5. So since my last update a fair bit has been done to the ol money Pit, Swapped the wheels over to some wide as jr32s wrapped in Falkens
  6. Been a long time since I update this thread, I really need to move this to the builds thread but not sure how- moderators send help plz
  7. Hopefully all will get sorted Mate, Alex’s reputation is definitely well warranted
  8. You know what you need out of your car mate, I daily mine but wish I didn’t but it works for me currently, if I had space and the need I’d get something else but already got a few projects, both cars you’ve mentioned are very thirsty, but I’d go for the 32 over the s4 because they’re going up slowly in value especially the dsgs with regards to the steer clear, usually your first instincts are right, dealers are crafty and love using the ignorance card to make you feel like something’s okay when it’s not, if you buy it sounding like that they’ll try and pull your pants down. If it doesn’t have a paper trail it’s probably not worth it.
  9. Didn’t sound good mate, I’d say potentially chain or very possibly injectors, if you don’t have a service history I’d say you’re pissing in the wind, if you don’t know how many services it’s had that’s down to fate, did you check the oil level? It just goes with the fact if you don’t mind risking it FairPlay crack on, but if it’s not been serviced with an oil and filter regularly what other little nasty surprises are you going to find
  10. Definitely for a de? if you’re willing to post I will have them
  11. message Alex and see what he can sort out for you, as willsy said might be cheaper replacing the engine for a known good one, guess it depends on costs etc
  12. Yeah exactly what Alex said euros website is dreadful at the best of times plus they usually send the wrong parts too 😂 big topic brakes really, just don’t go aftermarket brembo as they shyte, I’ve found my ebcs have been good but other people tell me they’re also shyte, ferrodo are meant to be really good though same as ebc rpx1 pads
  13. Welcome mate, also an 05de owner here! Have fun and ask away if you need!
  14. Yes thanks guys, just was a little bit on the edge that’s all haha!
  15. A Halfords shelf, the outer clear plastic case had the tape seal already removed etc which made me suspicious
  16. Ahh okay cheers I just would have thought there’d have been a peel seal sort of thing? but I trust in your judgement
  17. Are you planning on ditching the rear wiper by any chance?
  18. Has anyone used this g3 super gloss wax paste before? I’ve finally picked up some decent wax but once I opened it there was no seal and the wax seems crumbly like one of my poor boys sealants that’s ****ed, I’ve emailed farclea to make sure, was wondering if anyone can give me a quick response? I was going to go back to halfrauds tomorrow to see another one to make sure anyway
  19. Aswell have you looked at your shims on your brembos? Over time they’re common for build up when the paint cracks and gets the corrosion in causing the pads to stick etc
  20. What Alex said^ I’ve had to get warrantee on two sets of brembos aftermarket discs and pads- to start with the cost was like god are these really Brembo quality, since being at work aswell we’ve had so many warranty issues with Brembo aftermarket parts. I run ebc drilled and grooved with yellow stuff and so far I’ve had no issues, the money was kind of heart braking “a not so funny joke” but they’re ridiculously good and I also run motul rbf.
  21. That interior is killer! love the subtle exterior aswell! might see you at japfest?
  22. On paper yes but this is part of my point/ issue, you get a large majority of every Tom dick and Harry’s cars chucking extra shyte out because they use @*!# fuel or just don’t look after their cars very well, obviously as you say you can’t change co2 output but then also the amount of manufacturers who been caught red handed cheesing emissions and getting away with it is just annoying tbh, again they obviously get fined and have to correct it etc
  23. Yeah I get what you mean tbh forgot to Chuck it on the live emissions data to have a look probably not so eco friendly, I just mean we get so much new rubbish in atm with all their emissions controls etc and they still can’t get close yet surprise their tax is so much lower aha
  24. Hah I don’t know “cough” what you mean “cough” 😂
  25. I did think as much just swear I saw a guy on here say he had to prove his emission status on his import because they had no data for it
