  1. @valy Cheers mate - I was parked up near the trade stands over by the tunnels on the entrance. Not the best spot to be honest but it wasn't too bad... I did get a brief spot in the Meguiar's video from Trax which was kind of cool though :)

I can't wait to get all the parts fitted! It's going to be a good couple of months!

  2. Ah well, after much deliberation and struggling to find a set of Work emotions I've given up for the meantime.... Ordered a set of Aodhan DS02's in their vacuum chrome finish which I'm quite excited about!

The car is booked in at a place near to me, Shades Wraps, for the front windows to have a slight tint and the door handles wrapped black.

I've got the 2015 Nismo rear bumper ordered and should be here within a couple of weeks. It's booked in to be painted mid-November!

Due to the new rear bumper going on I had no choice but to get a new exhaust for it to match the rear bumper correctly :p It's booked in at Infinity Exhausts for some short tails on Nov 30th!

I also got this photo from Trax at the weekend. I was due to go down with my girlfriend In her Clio 197, hence not being on the 350zUK stand, but due to a few issues with the car I ended up taking mine for the day.  Great show overall! My first time going to Silverstone and it definitely won't be the last! There's so much more to see than your usual day at Combe!

  3. @Sim Yeah I agree. In some photos it doesn't look too bad. I like this one from the show -

But in other photos the wheels do look a little lost in those huge arches.

I think going to the Nismo rear bumper will only make that worse as well, hence them being replaced.

Wheel choice originally was a set of Work S1's but I just can't seem to find a set for sale anywhere second hand! I've even looked at importing a set but still no luck... There's no chance I'm paying nearly £4k for them new so that idea is out the window now

I'm just bought a set of Aodhan DS02's in their Vacuum Chrome. Getting them imported through Royal Speed Shop in California! They should be here within the next couple of weeks :)

  4. @Sim Yes I did mate - There's a few photos on my project thread here:

I was at Trax with my car so it may have been mine that you spotted.

I am in the process of selling the wheels though as going to 18's has made the car quite low... It's still useable but I'll  be going back to 19's as I'd rather have a little bit more ride height and a little bit less arch gap.

Plus with the addition of my recently purchase 2015 Nismo rear bumper I think the 18's will be too small to go with the large, flared body work.

  5. My girlfriend had a recaro seat out of her Clio 197 F1 repaired as it split in the exact same position as you mentioned. The guy matched the material perfectly, repaired the seat and returned it back within 24 hours! Spotless job and only cost £200... Far cheaper than a new seat!

EDIT: just noticed you were talking about the edge with the rubber coming away from the seat rather than the stitching separating... If the rubber has just came away then it can be tucked back in by hand as people have already said

  6. My car made 191bhp before I sold it. This was with a miltek 4-1 manifold, decat, 60mm throttle body, ramair intake and a set of newman phase 2 cams. The engine was only rebuild with ARP bolts and different big end bearings as well as a baffled sump so nothing too crazy. It still had the stock pistons etc. You can stretch to 200bhp or potentially a little more with a cosworth inlet manifold but you lose a lot of torque by doing so. If you have a look at the dyno graphs the cosworth inlet manifold only starts making more power than the stock manifold about around 6500rpm. On both the road and the track you'll find that a 200bhp ST with a cosworth inlet is actually slightly slower than a 190 ish bhp ST with a stock inlet.

If you really want to change your inlet then there are only really 2 options. Finding a second hand mountune inlet manifold as these get the 200bhp while actually gaining torque rather than losing any. These are very expensive nowadays though, some are fetching around £1500! The other option is a company over here makes custom inlets. There's a thread of the FiestaSTOC about them. The company is called Fusion Fabrications. They're the only 2 inlet manifolds worth investing in really.

In my opinion it's best to go for around the 190bhp mark and leave it there. The amount you'll need to spend to get that extra 10bhp would be much better spent elsewhere on the car.

I've heard good things about dreamscience and their stratagem box so I'm sure you won't be disappointed. They're one of the very few companies where you actually get very close to what they quote you bhp wise.

  7. Can't believe I haven't spotted this thread before. Used to have a MK6 ST before my 370. Loved that car, it was so unbelievably fun to drive! Had a spec list as long as my arm before I sold it as well:lol: the car was completely gutted, no audio system, no heater system or AC, no sound deadening or carpet, headlining and all trim removed as well as a whole host of suspension/braking mods, engine rebuild etc. etc. ... Horrendously impractical but so fun at the same time! I spent way too much money on that car!

Here's mine not too long before I sold it.

I look forward to seeing how yours progresses

  8. Not a huge amount has happened recently. Went to purchase a set of Varrstoen ES2's in their machined finish only to have the guy sell them to someone else literally 25 minutes before I was due to pick them up... even after we'd agreed on the sale, I had cash out etc. etc. Wouldn't have been the end of the world but I'd already drove 20 of the 50 miles to go and pick them up. I'd also found a buyer for my wheels and he was due to pick them up the following day so I had to let him down because of it...

Kind of a blessing in disguise though as I'll most likely be going with a set of Works emotions now. :D  This all depends on what I can source second hand through the joys of social media or through jdmdistro. Budgeting around the £1.5k - £2k mark so I'd like to think a set shouldn't be too difficult be we'll see. I'd love to buy a set brand new from Driftworks but I just can't justify the near enough £4k price tag

2015 Nismo rear bumper will be going on November time as well as a present from my gf for my birthday! Gave up with the idea of a mk1 Nismo rear bumper after the prices I was looking at for sourcing one.

On another note, I popped out for some photos at Kemble Airfield Yesterday. I still love the look of the car but I can't help but feel the car does need a pair of side skirt extensions and a Carbonsignal front lip. Still not low enough for my liking! :p

Awesome dude. Super clean and spot on fitment on the wheels. Well done

Thanks all! Finally got the fitment dialled in over the last few days, love the look of it now

  10. @valy Thanks mate! Over the moon with it! By far one of  may favourite things I've done to the car. But it definitely needs a set of DRL's... Looks a tad unfinished at the moment

Although i can't help but feel a nice set of RS1 carbon front wings and Seibon carbon bonnet would make it that much nicer! B) This Zeditus thing is hurting my wallet!
