  1. Ah well, it was short lived but I px'd the car last weekend for an E63 AMG Estate. The car is currently available from the dealership if anyone is interested in it. Genuinely a brilliant car, however with me using hire cars to commute to work during the week and now having the S15 back on the road it just didn't see any use and it seemed a shame to leave it parked up not getting used. I figured ditching the hire cars and letting the Z go to make room for a fast but sensible daily made the most sense, hence its short time in my ownership. https://www.precisionmotorgroup.co.uk/used-nissan-370-z-chingford-london-5899090 Here's the last few photos I took of it before it went. In more positive news, the S15 is running the best it ever has and the winter refresh has really made it that much better. The chassis was stripped of all components (subframe, fuel tank, brake and fuel lines etc.) and taken back to bare metal before it was zinc primed, painted, seam sealed, and then painted again. I've fitted a low mileage 370z Nismo box to it to replace the 350z DE box that I fitted last year and imported a brand new set of 326power Yabaking Gangsta Deep Mesh Wheels to finish the look. It's fair to say I couldn't be happier with it!
  2. @Mark@Abbey m/s That's not a problem - I went with the Mazworx SRVQ kit so I'll but chopping the bell housing off the new 370z gearbox anyway and replacing it with the Maxworx one (which includes a mounting point for the S15 pivot ball, clutch fork and release bearing assy). The only thing that I need to get is the small adapter ring to account for the fact that the input shaft bearing on the 370z gearbox is slightly smaller in diameter when compared with the 350z box.
  3. @LRF4N cheers pal! The S15 will be staying with me for quite a while yet - there's still loads of plans I have for it 😁 The RC is my fiancé's, she sold her GT86 and A1 earlier this year and replaced them with this. Although it may or may not be for sale early next year... It might be M3 time 👀
  4. It's been a relatively productive few months on the cars since I last posted on here. On the 370 I have: Removed the Nismo arch trim pieces Fitted BC BR 'True' Coilovers (10k front, 8k rear) Fitted Silver Project Rear Toe Arms (Spring Bucket delete) & Camber Arms Fitted 20mm spacers front & rear Fitted lower profile tyres (265/35F & 295/30R) Completed a full drivetrain service And a few other small bits and pieces (private plate, removed rear wiper etc.) The tyres I fitted are only temporary whilst I figure out what I want to do with the wheels. In an ideal world I'd get another pair of rear mk1 Nismo wheels so that I could run a 10.5J square setup but there's not a chance I'm spending near enough £2k on two wheels brand new... I'm hopeful if I hold out for long enough I may find a full set second hand as I already have a friend with a 350 lined up to purchase a full set of 4 fronts if so. We'll see! With regards to the S15, I haven't done a huge amount. The car is now SORN ready for more work to be completed over the winter that I didn't have time to do the first time around. I'm planning on removing everything from under the car (exhaust, subframes, gearbox, fuel tank, all suspension etc.), wire brushing and treating the metal before seam sealing and undersealing the car (I'll also be powdercoating the subframes, front crash bar etc.) As I'm doing that I'll also be swapping the CD009 from the 350z DE that I fitted with a 2016 370z Nismo box that I purchased last week with only 30k miles on it. The 350z box was only a temporary measure to get the car back on the road as quickly as possible so that I could enjoy it over the summer just gone - I knew they were notoriously bad for syhchro wear but I took my chances knowing full well that I'd likely need to replace it at some point in the future anyway. I've also got a few smaller jobs planned like refurbishing the brake calipers, replacing the discs and pads, quieting the exhaust, and fitting a radio.
  5. Thanks all! @HEADPHONES it was a genuine shame to let the last one go to be honest, it was such a great car. The only reason I did was the fact that it was so modified I was pretty concerned it'd be impossible to sell when the time came 😅 the S15 just made sense given they're continually appreciating and the 370z was only holding it's value at best, if not slightly declining. That's part of the reason I bought a Nismo this time around. The MK1 Nismo prices are the same today as they were 5 years or so ago so I figured I'd be able to enjoy this one without any real depreciation... Plus I just adore the look of it!
  6. Just realised I said Panther Black in my original post... I meant Magnetic Black! 😅🤦‍♂️ I can't seem to edit the post now either haha.
  7. @davey_83 Cheers mate. I can't see me ever changing these wheels to be honest. The MK1 Nismo wheels are one of my favourite sets of OEM wheels ever produced. If they ever do get replaced, it'd have to be for something seriously special!
  8. Well, after a short stint without a 370z (I sold my last one in September 2022), I'm pleased to say I'm now back in another 370z - this time a MK1 370z Nismo! As I mentioned in my previous project thread, I ended up trading my last 370z for a Nissan Silvia S15 Spec R which I have spent the last 8 months or so rebuilding to make it my own. Work over the last 8 months includes: sanding, painting and sound-deadening the interior, adding new carpets, all new BC Coilovers and GKTech / Driftworks suspension arms throughout, new Kansei Astro wheels, all new body panels (F&R arches, bonnet, bumpers & rear wing - the vast majority from Origin Labo), Corbeau Clubsport Seats, custom exhaust, powder-coated roll cage, a full exterior respray, Competition Stage 4 Clutch, Slide Motorsport Ultra-Lightweight Flywheel, retrofitting a CD009 from a 350z using a Mazworx SRVQ Gearbox Adapter Kit and also remaking a lot of the wiring harness and re-running vacuum lines to tidy it all up. I'm probably forgetting a fair few things but as you can see it's been pretty full on! 😅 Whilst it's been extortionately expensive, the car is now complete and it's genuinely brilliant fun to drive. The only downside to the car though is that it is way too OTT to be used frequently at weekends and as such, I fancied something fun, but semi-sensible, to go alongside it. The B8.5 Audi RS4 that I purchased early last year was brilliant and hugely fast, but overall, it was just a little bit dull unless you were driving at ridiculous speeds. It handled relatively well for a big car but realistically it's best suited to high-speed motorway driving which gets dull pretty quickly and honestly isn't a very good idea if you like to keep hold of your licence. The modifications on this were fairly basic and only consisted of genuine 20" Audi Rotor Wheels, wheel spacers, MagnaTuning Lip Kit, carbon mirrors and BC Coilovers. Because of that I ended up selling the car a few months ago and have been on the hunt for another 370z since. That's when this car popped up in West Yorkshire. It's a 2014 MK1 Nismo with 30k miles, finished in Panther Black. It also has a FNSH and is generally a very well-kept car, it just needs a good polish to bring the paint back to its former glory! The plans for this one are much more sensible than the last. I want to keep this car as something that looks good, drives well, and can be used for long road trips around the UK and throughout Europe. The plans at the moment are BC Coilovers, GKTech Rear Camber & Toe Arms (to remove all camber after lowering it), slightly lower profile tyres, Recaro Pole Position Seats, a cat-back exhaust (although I haven't decided exactly which one yet), black headlight housings, black door handles, Stage 2 Competition Clutch, and a Torqen Lighweight Flywheel and Heavy Duty CSC. The car will only be lowered by about 30-40mm so it should be perfectly good to drive whilst looking and driving a lot better. Whilst I'm sure I'll add more things to the list as time goes on, I seriously can't wait to get started with it!
  9. As some of you may have spotted on Facebook or Instagram recently, the car is now sold pending collection. It's been an absolutely brilliant car to own over the last 4 and a half years and it'll be a genuine shame to see it go however I just don't use it that much anymore. I recently replaced my daily driver, a diesel E Class Estate, with a B8.5 Audi RS4 so the 370 doesn't really serve any purpose for me anymore as a fun, comfortable weekend car. I had planned on just selling the 370, keeping the cash and then buying a replacement weekend car in the future however the opportunitity arose to purchase a Nissan S15 which is something I didn't really think would be feasible given the huge price increase recently! The deal hasn't been done just yet, but if all things fall into place as agreed I should have the new car towards the end of the week 😁With low 400's for power it should be a hell of a lot faster than the 370 and with it having a partially stripped interior and roll cage it should be a lot more raw to drive too. Anyway, enough about the replacement car. Here's a few photos of the 370 that I took a few weeks ago in preperation for writing the advert. Changes since the last time I updated this project thread include swaping the Bride x Vertex Seats for Recaro Pole Positions, new Work CR2P Wheels (purchased brand new from Driftworks. 19x11J et-25 all round) & a genuine MK2 Nismo Rear Wing. I also reduced some of the rear camber and raised the car by about 10mm or so for the new owner. I'll no doubt still linger on the forum once in a while to catch up with some of the other build threads that I've followed over the years but I figured I'd just close this thread out by saying thanks to all those over the years for their assistance and kind words, it really made owning this car that much better! Cheers, Tom
  10. @Adrian@TORQEN Ah that's great news. February should give me enough time to get my current mk2 nismo bumper sold so that works out perfectly. Ideally I'd like a set of mk1 Nismo sideskirts too. I'll be keeping my MK2 nismo rear. Cheers!
  11. @Coz@TORQEN okay that's spot on, thanks for taking a look in to this for me!
  12. I'll likely keep the MK2 Nismo rear bumper as I've already got the diffuser to go along with it. I just want to get my hands on a MK1 Nismo Front Bumper and Sideskirts as long as they're not crazy expensive! I've still got to sell one of my sets of wheels to fund the parts yet but it'd be good to have a rough idea of costs in my head first.
  13. Cheers for the suggestions guys. I've spoken to my local Nissan garage and they're unable to source one unfortunately. Similarly I spoke to Tarmac the other day and they're no longer able to supply them so that listing will be getting removed from their site! I'm honestly not sure where Z1 source them from as even Nissan themselves have told me they're no longer in manufacture! Worst case I'll import them through Z1, but after import tax and shipping I'll be dangerously close to £2k for the Bumper and Sideskirts 😩
  14. Morning Gents, Just a quick one. Does anyone know the best place to source a MK1 Nismo Front Bumper & Sideskirts for the 370z in the UK? I've been hunting around online and it seems that absolutely no one stocks them with the exception of Z1 in the states. I'd even be tempted by fibreglass versions if they were easy enough to source but even that is seemingly difficult as the only place that makes them is based overseas and by the time I factor in shipping fees and import tax it's a seriously expensive ordeal. Any help with this would be appreciated. Cheers!
  15. No longer available. Mods, please close this thread. Thanks!
  16. Cheers mate! Both Connor and Max did an awesome job that's for sure. Yeah, I still really like the OZ's, i just fancy having a spare set of wheels for the car so I can bounce between the two whenever I get bored. The ability to put an equally nice set of wheels on the car while the others are having tyres changed or lips polished should be really handy. I still keep toying with the idea of taking the car to a small drift event so the spare set of 4 wheels will also be super handy for that! I've always been obsessed with drifting, hence the OTT styling off the car as it is, so it seems ridiculous that I've never gave it a proper go on a track. We'll see how the rest of this year pans out but I'm hoping that'll be on the cards for next year!
  17. A few changes have been made since the last time I wrote an update on this thread so here it goes. Towards the end of May I had my exhaust remade by a small fabrication shop relatively local to me called Angry Parrot Fabrications as my HKS SSM Exhaust had seen better days and one of the flexi's had broken off from the cat. I had the y-pipe and centre section leading back to the short tails made remade and tucked up as high as possible under the car. I also removed one of the subframe braces to allow the exhaust to pass through the gap left near the diff. Since some diff braces require the removal of the brace I removed, I did not anticipate any adverse effects when removing this and I am happy to say it has had a negligible effect on the overall feel of the car. I have already purchased Whiteline Diff Bushings and will soon be purchasing solid subframe bushings ready for an entire rear-end overhaul over the winter anyway which will more than correct any additional play introduced by this. The quality of workmanship by APF was second to none and he even dropped the price upon collection as "the job wasn't as difficult as he imagined"! He could've very easily pocketed the extra £100 and said nothing, so I massively appreciate his honesty and would recommend him to anyone in the South West that wants any fabrication work undertaking! A few weeks later I then had some Japspeed Resonated Decats fitted by Horsham Developments. I planned on fitting them myself but seeing how cheap they offer their fitting service, it made no sense to endure the pain of trying to fit them myself! However, I didn’t quite anticipate how much louder these would make the car! The car sounded pretty great in my opinion beforehand but after fitting it was so loud on cold start and at 3k rpm that I stopped driving the car entirely for a few weeks until I could get the car booked back in at APF to have a pair of Profusion 4” x 9” Silencer / Resonators fitted to short tails. Again, APF did an awesome job with this and thankfully this addition has made the exhaust quiet enough that I’m not embarrassed to start the car anymore! Fast forward a few weeks and I popped out in to the centre of Bristol for a photoshoot, organised by Lowco Automotive. Both @Connorphotouk and @Maxmilliship did an awesome job at capturing the car and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome! I have only received a small batch of the photos taken throughout the day, the rest are being processed as we speak. The photos I have received so far are below. @Connorphotouk @Connorphotouk @Connorphotouk @Connorphotouk @Connorphotouk @Connorphotouk @Connorphotouk @Maxmilliship Oh, I also purchased another set of wheels! This time, brand new multi-piece Works through Driftworks. They're being manufactured as we speak and should be with me some time in October. I'll be keeping the OZ's too.
  18. Awesome choice with the wing, it's one of my favourites!
  19. @madcat No problem! 370's aren't the lightest of cars anyway so I'm sure if you go for the stiffer option you'll still find it more than comfortable enough over some of the bumpier stuff.
  20. I've had BC Coilovers on mine for the past 3 years now and they have been absolutely brilliant. I've fitted BC's to a few other cars I've owned, my missus' car and a few of my friends and they're always top notch for the price you pay so I'd definitely say BC is the way to go! As for spring rates, it depends on what you use the car for and how soft you want it to be. I personally found the 10k/8k set up a nice improvement over stock but still certainly a little bit soft for me personally. I then made the switch to a 16k front spring and 12k rear (Custom spring rates from BC) and found that to be much more suited to how i believe they should feel. I didn't notice any real difference in comfort but the car felt far more planted when pushing it. If it were me looking at those options, I'd personally go with BC's with the stiffer 12k/10k option!
  21. @HEADPHONES @Umster Cheers gents! Tinted taillights aren't my thing personally. I like to keep both the headlights and taillights as OEM as possible, with the exception of painting the headlight internals of course!
  22. @valy Cheers mate! I was quite suprised about the award considering level of cars at the event. I won a free framed print of the car, a few bits of merchandise and other bits and pieces so it was pretty awesome! The photographer did an great job. I absolutely love that 3rd photo of my entering the event, just a shame I had the front plate fitted at the time
  23. Tucked Meet & Eat Pt3 completed. An awesome show at an awesome venue, I'd highly recommend it to all! Here's a few photos of the car at the event, all captured by @24sevenphotography on Instagram:
