  1. Forget the religion vs science debate, love hate marmite is the real question.
  2. Went on holiday with my wifes sister and kids and my 13yr old niece thought wasps made marmite in the same ways bees make honey, which I can see the logic in. I work in Burton where they make it out of the beer left overs, so I can often smell the yeasty smell.
  3. I'm always talking about a pan european roadtrip with the SO.
  4. Marmite and mature cheddar for C on T. Ham and cheese in a toastie.

    MPSS Poor Quality?

Most tyres have a shelf life of about 5yrs if left outside. Climate can have an affect too, moisture getting in and expanding in the cold etc. They tend to start feathering after about 3-4 yrs. Judging your dot code they were new at fitment so you haven't been ripped off there. Tyres are covered by a 2yr manufacturer guarantee, but with kerbs and pot holes, they have no trouble over coming that slight obstacle. Your cracks aren't disastrous, wouldn't fail an mot, may even not get mentioned due to tester discretion. But they aren't deep enough to expose cords or ply. If it was my money I'd get another year from them, unless doing a lot of track time. @Ekona knows a lot more than me about these things though.
  6. Welcome along. You're kinda right on the model. 06 has a DE Rev up engine with the facelift, easy way to tell is it revs to 7k. After 06 you get the HR, They have a different bonnet and a slightly revised engine again. All 3 models have their good and bad points, and we'll wax lyrical about the one we have ourselves. Its worth saving part of your budget for emergency repairs...and if after a while there are none, zeditus will be yours.
  7. Only because they prefer cheese Toasties in Wales according to Bill Bailey.
  8. It is a valid point that @davey_83 declared his doubt into the matter in the opening of the thread, before it turned into a theological debate. Nice to see people keep open minds too.
  9. Will take mine to work one day in the week to do. It'll be ditched midweek if I peak too soon what with her being black n all.
  10. M1 junction 24. What time is best to arrive?
  11. So...errr...what time is this happening? Work is rubbish and i could use the excuse to not be here.
  12. I like the professional driver ideas, either courier in a nice car, or a track based job. But i worry i'd be like the rich guys trashing their super car and upsetting other track folk...obviously im a driving god so it'd be fine, but I still worry. I always liked the idea of being an author, I have some ideas I like for some books, but work, kids, cars and life keep getting in the way.
  13. No but I've seen them too and have considered doing it myself. But would my wife be able to log in and see how fast I'm going or where I am? I could be birthday present shopping for her and she's know.

    Evo 2017 Tyre Test

Had the Falken on mine for the past 6 months as they came with the car. I found them very capable on the road in wet and dry and only really pushed them beyond limits when i got a bit power mad i the slight snow we had in jan-feb time. Just fitted Dunlops because they were free, not had time to test them properly yet though.
  15. MOT day today. Nearly failed because i forgot to reconnect the hazard switch when i fitted the stereo. Other than that, straight through with no advisories...although we did emissions twice because of the HFC's not being hot enough. If I get ramp time later, its clutch slave fitting time as the pedal looses some travel on longer journeys. I also seem to get a minor clutch slip randomly, but only 500ish rpm, but then it snaps back, hoping the clutch plate isn't on its way out too. My usual experience of worn clutches are the speed catches up to the revs, this seems to be the opposite like the plate is losing pressure then getting it back again. Slave is cheaper than clutch though
  16. I guess the problem is, we all think our cars look ace . I like mine with the rays, they're anthracite on a black zed with spacers, and I never look at it and think they look out of place...but like a said I'm bias.
  17. I wonder if he tried to bribe the coppers.
  18. Ok so I'll cancel this one due to whether and turn out. I'll tell the wife I cancelled it for her sake though. My step son decided he doesn't like 6th form...after his first day so i should really help her sort that out lol.
  19. Damn British weather, and the 1st meet was so successful lol. I'll still be there if the rest of you are still planning on coming down. Unless you all cancel, in which case I'll let the venue know and we'll give it a miss this month.
  20. No worries mate. Don't blame you if she's nice and clean.
  21. Just got from my holiday where I annoyed my wife and kids pointing out various zeds for a week. Saw a loverly dark blue being washed in Llansteffan, a silver one out Telford
  22. I'm not up on news, but was it a next day thing or same day? I've never drunk driven, but have I had to go to work next day after a night of drinking in a hung over state? Yup when I was young and naive. Never had an accident, but I'm a lucky one. I know different now and make sure I'm sober before driving next day by checking. Need my license for my job.
