I have a US car and can confirm no difference in headlight sockets, just be aware, that if you have the base model (no LSD, no brembo, no bi-xenon) that you need the pre 06 non-bi-xenon lights, which have a 6 pin socket if you want plug and play fitment. If you don't mind doing a bit of splicing, the much better looking 06+ bi-xenon units can be fitted without changing any hardware, just convert the 6 pin to the 8 pin bi-xenon harness, leaving out the blue wire. You lose auto-dipping function which is used when you have a heavy load in the boot, apart from that, all is as you would expect. Hope it helps. I'm in the process of updating my US base with halogen hi-beam to 06+ bi-xenon, I have the lights and looms ready to convert, will be going for it next week probably. For your purposes, you can indeed simply buy the same lights you currently have in RHD spec from a UK car and expect them to be plug and play. Welcome to the forum by the way

Well, just look at them! Must be good far at least 8hp, no? Edit: That's EACH by the way.

We have very similar setups Been a great gaming setup for two years now, 4790k still kicking ass and taking names. I sometimes run mine at 5ghz for shits n giggles (corsair H80 dual), I was really lucky, got a really strong one.

For any pc gamers who are struggling with the concept, here's the thing... We all know that if you have a regular screen you can't see more than 60fps, right? Good. So you enable vsync to get the smoothest experience possible, but, if you are a pro or talented tournament gamer, you know vsync is the devil, due to input lag. So, we buy TN panels primarily to be able to turn off vsync (it's no longer needed to reduce jaggies at that speed), and also gain the advantage of seeing the frames over 60fps as well as any arbitrary number between 15 and 30,and 30 and 60,which again you wouldn't see with an IPS and vsync on. The effect is like a 30% performance increase instantly, no matter what card you have. You gain smoothness and lose input lag. The trade off is viewing angles (my pc isn't a cinema, so who cares) and colour fidelity (is a shame but it's liveable).

Haha! This is the thing! You won't have to drop the graphics down. If you can run 1440p at 60fps plus, it's worth it. Hell is even worth it if you have a crappy card. You have a 1080 gtx, you should definitely be running 1440p, you'll get 140fps out of doom on ultra.
-
Apples and oranges. No IPS panel exists with the features I want (speed). To be honest, if you don't know why you want a TN, you don't need one. Suffice it to say, serious gamers who first try it, can't understand why nobody told them before what a difference it makes, and NOBODY ever goes back.

I couldn't be more chuffed with my Dell 2716dg. What it loses in color reproduction and viewing angles (like all TN panels) it makes up for in speed and sharpness. It transforms a pc even if all you do is surf, you can read the text while scrolling. Knowing you're a nvidia man, as am I, thought I'd mention it, cos it's pretty much the cheapest gsync and is fantastic for gaming, it also has a really nice stand, but no vesa for wall mount. Don't get 4k yet, even a 1080 gtx just won't drive it how you'll want. 1440p will be the sweet spot for at least the next 5 years.

OK mate, let's see. Thanks again.

Wow, I'm going to have to buy them and ship them one by one, I'm still living under capital controls, I simply can't spend that much money at once at the moment (for a pair and delivery), bank won't let me. If I can get a single one and shipped for less than 840e a fortnight, we'll be in business. lol. I've actually got a local sparco R333 option which is quite reasonable, at those prices, let's be honest, I'm more likely to go for those. Thanks for your time Adrian, count me out for now, beautiful seats though. If I lived in the UK...

Wanna swap it for a ginger 350z at all? Actually, nah you can keep it, steering wheel's on the wrong side. Paint looks class mate, nice!

Thats harsh mate, I feel for you. Reminds me really strongly of my weekend with a misdiagnosed kidney stone. OMG the pain. Chin up, that which does not kill you makes you stronger.

Gorgeous, PM incoming.

Ooooh, those I like. Grey one is nice and subtle.

This. Wow. It is believed that this kind of separation is exactly how this happened a couple of weeks ago over here... http://www.keeptalkinggreece.com/2017/02/27/shocking-accident-with-porsche-out-of-control-four-dead-video/

Did the lads play a practical joke on you one day when you went in for a scratch and dent? -
Recommended headlight protection from UV misting and scratches?

Will do! Thanks. Thanks for the suggestion. I wasn't aware there was a clear wrap, does it protect from UV? How 'clear' is it? 3M I guess? The reason I like this idea so much from the start is cos I have experience wrapping and read so many horror stories about products. -

I can't enlighten you, I don't know if there's any difference either, but not knowing brings fear, and fear is the path to the dark side... I'm just paranoid. I appreciate the suggestion, honestly. -

I actually agree. I have almost zero rasp with stock cats from my 190 quid ebay special (like but not identical to the Japspeed k4), until the very top end under full load, when it almost sounds like a hammer smacking against an anvil. Love it. So chuffed with this exhaust for the money. Don't know what will happen when I HFC though. -

On brand new, or restored headlights? All the comments seem to be relating to restoration. -

Well, the car is going for paint next week-ish, so it would be easy to get them done. I'll definitely think about it. Thanks Olly In the meantime, anyone had any success with stick on products? -

I was thinking about that, but it's totally permanent and has the potential to go wrong/not look perfect (or am I being paranoid), hence my initial interest in stick on solutions. -

I think you guys are being harsh. The guy explained himself many times, he deserves a 'reset', he hasn't done anything wrong in this thread, or before the other incident. Let's give him the benefit, eh? Cheers lads. -
I completely agree! Good job, pics when done please.
