  1. I too have a short commute (about 15 mins) and no battery issues. It will drain over two weeks though, I assume due to my viper alarm, but day to day it's fine, I don't even use it every day. Our winters are colder than you might think, but still milder than UK, I don't know if that might be playing a role. Easy test anyway, get up 20 minutes earlier, head in the opposite direction for ten minutes, then head to work. 15 minutes is definitely enough to 'add' juice to the battery. Idling does next to nothing by the way.
  2. Yeh man, I live 4 kilometres from work, I look forward to any chance to stretch her legs. Win-win indeed. I might be tempted to forget to change my address again next time. Get a nice trip in the Z before leaving it behind, every holiday! Perfect. My current 'stretch her legs' drive is from my house to the airport on weekends, because the airport McDonalds is the only one in all Greece that serves the breakfast menu, so I leave at 9.30 on Saturday morning, get there about 10ish, eat 3 sausage and egg mcmuffins, pick up a bag for the family, then cane it back. Simple pleasures
  3. If you're rich Gimme a 2017 Focus RS, you can keep the rest, and my Z for that matter.

    New 911 GT3

Every car with a clutch has launch control.
  5. XXR 530 19x9.75+15, 19x10.75+30 in black with, 255/35/19, 275/35/19 I'll link a pic in a minute, have to do it from my phone :/ I don't have these wheels, but they are high on my list (I'll be buying some wheels in summer)
  6. ^Yeh, that's a good looking, sporty looking car, even if you might end up getting your postman putting your letters in the exhaust. The Type R should have been this, at least it has 2 doors as well. Another fail, Type R should not have 4 doors.
  7. That NIsmo pulsar is also clearly penned by someone who went to the same design school, except decided to lay off the LSD during the finals. I love the Pulsar, do want very much.
  8. How much are you guys paying for either MPSS or MPS4? Locals want about 1300e for the set of 4 here including fitting and balancing.

    New 911 GT3

HOLY COW, they really went to town on the design update this year!! Oh wait... Still, great car. 9000rpm, that's the shizz right there. Big gay wing is big and gay though.
  10. Yeh, that's the only thing you can say really, there has still not been a 'bad' Type R. Even the much maligned FN2 drives very sharp.
  11. Always makes me laugh when a product is aimed at a market that either can't use or can't afford it. Only a 19-25 year old is not going to feel like a plonker getting out of it, and very few people in that age group could reasonably afford to buy it, let alone insure it. And another thing...it looks the same size an accord. And you're right, it looks like they've tried to supply 'everything' a tuner would do...let's see... Lairy bumpers, oh yeh... Side step side skirts, check! Vented wings, check! Big gay spoiler, check! Centre exhaust with abstract number of exits of different sizes, check! LED chrome lights, check! Red pin stripe, check! Vented bonnet, check! Even the ricers are going to hate this car, as it's been pre-riced, there's nothing more they can do!
  12. Yeh I suppose you don't use the key that often, it's not that big of a deal, would bother me though. Here's the useful one, there was another but I can't find it now...
  13. Its a tough one isn't it? I do have one advantage though, body work is cheap here, cos everyone's still doing it, lots of master crafts are economical and done well here, because we aren't yet a throwaway society and there's lots of competition. I have until mid July to think about it anyway.
  14. My apologies, you are quite correct that 2006+ are hateful cars. Try to get yourself into a JCW R53, you will be mightily impressed, it's such a raw car, and the power-to-weight is simply shocking. R53s had equal length front driveshafts, torque steer is still there, but minimal.
  15. Hm...ok, cheers for the info. Basically, as far as replicas go though, as you say, there won't be many places offering a better package overall, these kinds of issues seem to be par for the course on the replica stuff.
  16. That's the second time you've given me an epic eu shop link. They stock the vented wings!! :O :O :O :O I owe you a beer.
  17. Seems like i am trolling you today, lol, i am not. RT themselves allow 2 days to fit and paint a bumper (not something they tell you when you buy ), i am not sure that can be classed as parts that fit properly and that is speaking from experience of buying an RT chargespeed Not at all, I'm still just an enthusiastic newbie in this community, troll on!! Thanks for the heads up, I had up to now not heard anything negative about RT. 2 days to report a problem is both unreasonable AND illegal. I take it that the bumper didn't fit very well? It's interesting because a chargespeed rear and v1 front are high on my wishlist and I would have bought them from there.
  18. What is it you don't like about them? It can't be anything to do with how they drive... I've owned over 40 different models of car, if I ordered them on quality of driving experience (driver's car-i-ness), a 2002-2005 cooper S is in at number 4 after the Audi Quattro Coupe, the S2000 and The 350Z. There is no faster car for crossing a busy city, the steering and throttle are so immediate. To be fair, mine was mapped to 200hp and had a big brake kit on it and some other choice mods (milltek exhaust), it was a little beastie. I'm sure a regular 1.6 cooper isn't very exciting, but it would be a tragic mistake to write off the whole line because of that, the fast pre-05 ones are superb (to drive, not so much to own or maintain ). Was a biatch on the running costs though, very thirsty, lost a steering pump, and a supercharger, the supercharger one week before selling (how I swore), and there wasn't anything wrong with the actual compressor, they have a weakness of the water pump drive gears which are idiotically integral to the supercharger unit. Stupid design. but let me say again, as a driver's car...epic.
  19. Mate, I still don't know what you mean by 'rather than a DIY fix'...the DIYs I'm talking about are video tutorials how to change the door mechanism using genuine replacement nissan parts, nothing to do with universal parts or some cheap half-the-job fix... The proper job, with the proper parts, just so there's no confusion... I'll link them if you like, cos I have the distinct impression that you think I mean something else, or you're looking at something else P.S. If you change the lock barrel, Aren't you going to need both sides and ignition barrel too? What;s wrong with your lock barrel? I doubt you'll need to change that or that it cannot be somehow transplanted in the new door lock mech, but that's an assumption, I haven't tried.
  20. I'm sure it will be, which is why it's such a debacle. Fight tooth and nail to leave an agreement, only to reinstall as much of it as possible under a different name. wtf.
  21. Sorry, my bad, I wasn't feeling unsupported because of the bill amendment, you're right, that works against me, the govt is trying to leave that section blank on purpose until it can get a reciprocal deal for people like me (which by the way, is the exact type of tit-for-tat politics that is ruining the world, when will we learn to trust one another), what I meant was the whole Brexit thing, sorry, I should have clarified, because the topic is about the House of Lords and I can see why you would think I meant that. Cheers!
  22. Yeh, it's going to be tough to tick every box. Personally, I'm looking forward to getting rid of the badge. I don't 'claim' the fitment is fine, I have no experience except what I read on this forum, which is very positive. I would order from them without hesitation, that's all I'm saying. Shoot Taras a PM, he's a friendly helpful guy, maybe he can get you one with the badge indent - taras@RT-Performance Note that is a FORUM PM address, not an email address.
  23. So we give up our bargaining chip, as Ekona says above, why would the Germans not just agree to a like for like deal? The Germans aren't the EU. It's a genuine concern for people like me...will I need a visa to live here next year? Will my driving license still be valid? Of course the 99% probable answer to those is No, and Yes, but you never know, I have no guarantees at this point. I feel totally let down and unrepresented by the British gov't. I literally cannot believe that such a wide ranging and sweeping change to the face of the civilised world, throwing away as worthless 40 years of relationship building and cooperation, can be enacted on a 5% majority!? The world has gone mad.
  24. You might be able to get one in Poland, there are two ebay stores that sell 350z body parts out of Poland, but I checked and they don't currently have a V2, might be worth asking them? Here's one... http://stores.ebay.c...&_sid=412509574 And here's another... http://stores.ebay.c..._sid=1280911176 Failing that, there is a vendor on the forum, RT-Performance who definitely has them in stock. Delivery is expensive, about 150e if I remember correctly, but no customs! Here's RT's ebay store...look about halfway down. I understand he only keeps parts that fit properly, but don't expect OEM fitment first try. http://stores.ebay.c...fsub=2326636014 From there, it'll run you about 420e delivered, which isn't bad.
  25. Excellent, thanks for this. I know there is a DIY replacement that involves using a generic actuator but if I can replace the genuine part with OEM I would rather do that, and if a Z one will fit the GT then that is easily sorted Now to find a door lock and I will be even happier I'm not aware of any 'universal' actuator myself, the DIYs I refer above are both using original (albeit second hand) Nissan parts. I'm sure the door parts are the same between G35 and 350Z.
