  1. Ah man I'd love to play System Shock 2 for the first time again, such a great game and nothing I've played since has come close in terms of pure atmosphere. Dead Space was a fairly good recent try but as always in modern shooters there's a bit too much focus on all out action.
  2. Brilliant, thanks guys, I'll be giving them a buzz then.
  3. Ah so you're the one who bought that car, great to see it stay in the club. Great shot bud, I also took a few pics of it at Japanese Performance Show last year, if you're interested you can see them here
  4. I don't know what your problem is mate but the majority of posts I've seen from you are overly aggressive and self righteous, there's no need to attack people because you disagree with them.
  5. Decent weather Lots of jobs Fewer Brexit voters Accents you can actually understand Coats Newsreaders Easy access to Europe Airports Proper kebabs Rugby Union Racetracks You lads do tend to make a better cup of tea though + The best art galleries and museums in the country plus countless smaller independent ones. Vast amounts of incredible places to eat and the majority of the best restaurants in the country. The best theatres and shows. The best gig venues and you know when people tour in the UK they will almost definitely be playing London. Huge array of shopping, far more choice than anywhere else. Iconic architecture everywhere. Etc etc. Yes you get some of it elsewhere but not on the same scale, with same variety or the same quality. Unless your only interests are driving and the countryside I find it very difficult to believe you can't find anything you like about London.
  6. Nice car mate, did you have work done there? Trying to find a decent body shop near Bedford.
  7. See, that includes Luton, Milton Keynes...Reading, all the wonders of The South
  8. What? The South isn't just London.
  9. Whilst I agree that people living in London, including myself, can get wrapped up in the 'London bubble' I also genuinely believe it's, on balance, the greatest city in the world. Many people who have never lived there seem to have an unfounded, visceral hatred of the place but unless you live there you really don't know what it's about. It's not for everyone but to write it off as a 'bad' place is just ignorant.
  10. Sorry, for the purposes of Tube charges London is split in to zones, zone 1 being the centre and therefore most expensive, zone 2 slightly less expensive etc etc.
  11. Just sold our 1 bed flat in Crystal Palace, we were only there for a year and in that time it had gone up in value by £45k. The smart thing investment wise would have been to keep it but in the end the whole thing felt untenable. For example we were given 3 months notice of an impending £9k bill for communal repairs to the building which were originally meant to cost us just over £1k, I'm sure nobody in those flats had that kind of money sitting around. Add to that the fact that outside of London we'd be considered as being on decent money but even in zone 3 we couldn't afford a second bedroom, it's a joke. Renting it out was an option but wouldn't give us enough to cover the mortgage. We both absolutely love London and it's the best place to be as Graphic Designers, but it's got to the point where we simply can't afford to live the kind of life we want to there. So the plan now is to use the money from the sale and for less than the price of our 1 bed flat in London we can get a 4 bed detached house with country views up north.
  12. This looks great, Prometheus had so much promise but ultimately I felt it was a let down, the plot was awkward and some of the characters actions seemed to make no sense. Awesome to see the original H.R. Giger alien back too.
  13. Looks great, the Mine's lip will really help finish it off. Really does look quite low given you're on Tein springs, any problems with speed bumps?
  14. Hello mate and welcome. I came from a 190 Celica too, loved that car but the 350z is another level, especially all the low-down torque compared to the 190.
  15. Nobody is suggesting that painting a bumper will cost 2k, the vast majority of the cost would be for the replacement Nismo bumper if it can't be repaired.
  16. I absolutely adore the original NSX but it's hard to justify the cost, having said that if I won the lottery my first purchase would be the mintest example I could find. The new one is a good looking car but as others have said, is entirely unoriginal and to me just hasn't got enough of it's own personality.
  17. Congrats, glad it was worth the ridiculously long day. Quite happy there aren't any pics though, I'm sure they're great fun to drive but these things are ugly as sin
  18. Nobody needs to make this film though. I totally understand why they've made the decision but it doesn't stop it being ridiculous. If they can't create the film without a modicum of respect for the original piece or without the budget that an unsuitable Hollywood actress brings in, don't do it.
  19. Even putting aside the blatant whitewashing she just looks wrong for the role in every way, wrong age, wrong physique, just bizarre casting.
  20. The US as a whole may well be 'fine' but it's the individuals that will be affected, awful time to be Muslim, gay, Mexican or even a woman in the US. They're already seeing a rise in racist and abusive incidents in the same way we did post referendum. So far he also seems perfectly willing to destroy fantastic resources in the name of pandering to his pro-life, pro-gun and climate change denier audience. For example in one breath he mentioned how Planned Parenthood helps millions of US women with breast and cervical cancer, in the next he says he would defund it because he's pro-life, truly horrific.
  21. I'd like to think it's fairly common sense but that doesn't seem to be the case anymore. In regards to cultural appropriation I think much of that is people getting offended on behalf of other people, that's where it really gets silly. It's like kids not being taught 'baa baa black sheep' anymore, I don't know of a single black person that would actually be offended by that nursery rhyme, it's hysterical white people jumping on the PC bandwagon.
  22. I was trying to delete them but my phone crashed, sorry!
  23. Haha, sorry yes, that is. But my original comment wasn't about people being ridiculed for having a BGW, it was about the fact that the term is rooted in there being something wrong with having a massive spoiler and ergo, somethings wrong with being gay. I don't think that people are being homophobic by using the term but it's a bit borderline imho.
  24. Firstly, BGW = choice? Being gay isn't a choice, you are or you aren't, same as being Ginger or German. Of course I make fun of scientologists, that's not at all the point I was making, that's no different to people ridiculing me for spending loads of money on an old Nissan. If you make a choice to indulge in something a bit out of the ordinary I don't think you have any right to be offended if someone makes a crack about it. Secondly, the term itself of course isn't offensive, Ekona using it as term for food in private obviously makes very little difference to me, but it very often comes up as an insult to people. Maybe I am 'programmed' to be offended by it but that is only as a result of being insulted based on my nationality without provocation. As I said it's just another addition to a long list of 'minor' comments aimed towards Chinese people that serve to diminish and stereotype and that's just not something I'm comfortable with. In regards to the parents of those kids, I fully reserve the right to hold a lack of respect for ignorant people but you can hardly blame them if they just don't know any better I guess. Having said that, it's Greece, not the Amazon, they have the internet.
