  1. Did you definitely buy the Pioneer specific one? The fitting kit from incartec didn't come with the right patch lead for my Pioneer head unit.
  2. I put in an entry a few days back, didn't get a reply, hopefully it was received ok.
  3. Damn, thought I was quick for once haha.
  4. That's the worst thing that could happen! Who do you think would then have to make up for the lost revenue to the coffers? Either electric cars would have to be taxed as normal, or they'd have to massively raise the cost of VED on ICE cars to cover it. That £500 could well become £1K or £2K in the blink of an eye. Worst thing ever for enthusiast car owners but not for, you know...the planet. To clarify though I think that electric cars should also be taxed as normal, they might have low emissions but it's not like they're crafted out of sustainable wood by little elves. I just think that most people would be perfectly fine with an electric car, no need for idiots running diesel monsters for doing the school run.
  5. That's the point though, it isn't road tax, it's not money to fix potholes, it's a tax against high emission cars. As enthusiasts it's a pain but personally I think the sooner all 'normal' cars become electric, the better, as long as cars like ours are seen as hobby vehicles with appropriate taxation and limits rather than demonised as a whole.
  6. Extra Gear, the shorter after show with Chris Harris and Rory, who feel much more natural and suited to presenting actual Top Gear. Unfortunately since this is really an entertainment show, not a car show, the worse presenters with the bigger names front the main thing.
  7. I actually stumbled across this car, just before I bought my 350 and joined this club, sitting outside the Honda dealership in Bedford and remember thinking what a staggering amount of work has gone in to it. Upon joining the club I was really happy to discover this thread - the quality of the build is absolutely astonishing so I'm sure whatever you're moving on to must be worth it, best of luck with the new project.
  8. Considering this post is from April 2014, I imagine you'd be lucky.
  9. Jesus, what a horrific thing to witness, well done for staying with the cyclist throughout, fingers crossed he pulls through. Did the Golf driver have any reason for swerving across?
  10. Yep, basically what Ekon said. I live in London and it's awful for cars but it's amazing for basically everything else. Incredible museums and galleries that are all free, great food, beautiful architecture etc. If you need a 4 wheel fix though there's a quality indoor go-kart track at Tower Bridge: https://www.team-sport.co.uk/go-karting-london-tower-bridge/
  11. Thanks for your reply mate, I've done a lot of research on this trying to sort it and the VSS wire does indeed go through the white box which is the AC box, some people have said that knocking this wire can cause the speedo to go but I've had a look, it's definitely connected but I can only really check it visually.
  12. Pulled it all apart again, couldn't see any connectors loose on the white box but pulled them all out and made sure they were all tight. Put it all back together again and the speedo has stopped working again and the odometer problem remains. I'm at a bit of a loss now Pic below shows the problem with the odometer:
  13. Hello, So spent a few hours yesterday installing my new Pioneer SPH-da120 and was feeling pretty pleased with myself when it all fired up and worked as it should. That was short lived as when I went to go for a drive I noticed that my odometer / trip meter wasn't displaying correctly i.e. yit was lit up but only parts of the numbers are visible and worse, my analog and digital speedo wasn't working at all. Rev counter works fine. As it was getting dark I opted to curse and leave it alone. Fast forward to this morning I pulled out a bit of the dash to check the wires at the back of the AC box were all fitted correctly and they seem to be ok. I then checked the fuses in the interior fuse box and they seem to be ok. Weirdly as I moved the car to get better access to these fuses I noticed that the speedo had started to work again, took it for a quick spin and the speedo seems ok however the odometer / trip computer is still failing to display correctly. Has anyone got any idea what I might have have screwed up - is there a specific fuse I should be checking to see if it's blown? Although I'm guessing that if it's a fuse then the odo wouldn't display at all? Cheers, Rich
  14. Brilliant guide and perfect timing as I've just bought this very same head unit. Much appreciated, thanks.
